We have been "commuting" up and down the coast quite a bit recently and are garnering together our favorite stops, so price-wise and easy-to-get-in-and-out-wise, this is it for gas. There are snack supplies inside, and lush green fields outside, while the traffic on 101 whizzes by nearby. On our most recent stop, the Google Earth car with its odd little rabbit ear was there, filling up at a pump. It felt like spotting a celebrity!

The pharmacist said it was $71 and they don't take Kaiser insurance. I told my husband that's too much and we'd wait until we get home. The pharmacist said we could look online for a coupon. She told us about goodrx. I found a coupon for $50 for the medication we needed. I thought it was nice of her to tell us about the coupon/discount site. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars. It's still pricey since it would only be $5 with our insurance.

Customer service is hit or miss, and the checkout lanes remain crowded together with little regard for spacing. My most recent experience was especially frustrating. I stopped in quickly on my way to an event to purchase deodorant, only to find that the barcode wouldn't scan. A passing employee confirmed there was no price in the system at all. After already waiting in line several minutes, this was the final straw-- I left without making a purchase. For such a common item not to even appear in inventory shows a lack of organization and attention to detail. This store gives the impression of being poorly managed and not customer-focused.

A man cashier kept talking away with someone else whether that was the owner or not he was speaking with I was waiting during his conversation and yes I interrupted him and stated "could you please check me out" when I noticed there was also someone else behind me waiting after that. This horrific cashier much older who should know better claimed that he wouldn't service me because I was "rushing" him and "clearly" I had to be somewhere and he responded with "I'm going to be here until midnight" as if that's my fault he chooses to not check out a simple protein bar. This was simple all he had to do was ring me up check me out, check out the person behind me and the continue with his non work related conversation. Because he proceeded to lie and at random claim that he refuses to service me because I "interrupted his conversation" (actually admitting he was just chatting away) of course I made a call and as I was stepping outside he still had the audacity to follow me outside the store minutes after the door was closed behind he proceed to instigate me while I was on the phone with dispatchers because no I have actually shopped at this store prior no problem. Hence a cashier who proceeds to follow you once you left out the store is clearly a danger in addition to claiming you're the supposed issue clearly is lying and honestly providing the worst customer service. From an individual who has actually dealt with customers being racist and demanding--me asking him to please ring me up should not have been an issue at all.
