Had to take it to corporate level and the issue was rectified in less then a week. As new business owners they are in trustworthy and rude. They are horrible at customer service and truly liars and thieves as they never followed through nor had any intention to do so. The hallways are well lit, they offer plenty of carts to assist with moving in and out and there is lots of space available for wrapping, packing and sorting items while at the unit. The only thing keeping this review from being higher is their silly policy of giving them a months notice before moving out. We told Midgard up front when we planned on moving out but failed to re notify them a month prior. As a result, we have a storage unit sitting empty for the next month that we had to pay for.

I had been with this storage space for over 10 years before they sold out to Public Storage. I had taken small increases over the years and completely understood that costs had gone up. After PS purchased the storage units, they tried to raise my rent 30%. I complained and they gave me a 6 month reprieve. After 6 months, they jacked up my monthly rent 44%. I tried to call again, but the "manager" said his hands were tied by corporate. I tried the 800 line and the first person told me her computer stopped working and tranferred me into a black hole. The second attempt, I was explaining the issue to the customer service agent and she hung up on me. the third call, the lady flat out told me we are not reducing your rent. Even though I had just reserved an identical unit across from mine for the amount I was originally paying. She told me it was an Internet Special, to which I informed her that I had called to make that reservation. She proceeded to tell me I was welcome to move forward with the other unit and move all my stuff into that unit. Luckily, after 10 years, I don't have much use for the items in there anymore, so I have started disposing of everything. So, instead of working with a good customer of 10 years, they will get nothing. That makes me happy.
