Run...after booking it was " it is what it is ' type thing. Had to evacuate due to the hurricane which put us behind for the move date. The only reschedule offered was 4 days later. The actual move was disastrous. One of the movers screamed profanity almost the entire time. So unprofessional. He asked my 15 year old daughter why her father wasn't around! My 2 year old solid wood bed is DESTROYED... mattresses are ripped. Asking for things to go upstairs was uncomfortable and unwelcomed so we just let them leave all the boxes in the garage. This man was insulted at the tip... which I gave because of Mark...and literally yelled out my card informatoon in the middle of the community. Three digit code and all. We contracted First Choice Moving and Storage this Monday for an early arrival prior to closing and they arrived timely. Though the move was not large the pieces that needed moving are heavy and they managed well. Bruce and Hunter did a very good job keeping everything cover and thorough understanding as to how pack like "Tetris" puzzle were everything fit and properly located to reduce damage and shifting. So beyond grateful and pleased! I can not recommend nor thank the guys who came out and moved me today enough! First off, I had stuff everywhere because our house is going through a remodel so it wasn't as simple as walk in and grab the items but the 2 men couldn't have been nicer the entire time or more courteous. I have been so extremely stressed and frazzled with purchasing my first home and moving out on my own for the for the first time and they made the process so much easier between picking up my items-NOTHING BROKEN- and delivering them to my new home and putting them wherever I asked. I used First Choice recently on a local move (4 BR house to house). I was very pleased. Chris did everything he could to accommodate my move date (which was a moving target). The two men that moved me, Mike and Will, were fantastic. . . and super strong! These guys hustled and only took one 15 minute break in 7 hours (which they deducted from my time). They were very respectful and conscience of their time. They honestly did the job of 3-4 men and finished in the same time quoted by other companies that were going to send more men (and charge more). They moved some really heavy items to the second floor and did not complain at all. Rates are very reasonable and they honored advertised specials. I had no issues. Thanks guys! read more

Hello all. I wanted to stop by here and leave my honest opinion on First Choice does business. Quick back story for me, between having health issues and getting divorced I moved much more frequently that I ever will again. Lord willing. Rebecca and her team are amazing, always have been. I would guess that I have used First Choice around 10 times. The team is always on time and courteous. Payment is a breeze as well. Rebecca has set up her own little niche in the local moving industry and does it well. In talking to her I can sense how much cares about the customers and the lengths she is willing to go to so customer is satisfied. Is Rebecca's team the absolute lowest price in town? Of course not! Just like everything else in life, you get what you pay for. I know when everything I own is being loaded, transported, then moved back in, I want it to be with a team that cares to make sure you are happy before they leave. Finally for full disclosure, all my moves were paid for by me. In no way did anyone try to buy my review. They earned it through hard work and dedication. In closing, who do you want handling your prized possessions? Two college guys that don't care how fragile your stuff is. Or do you use a real professional service like First Choice. I used first choice moving and storage to move from a one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment. When the movers showed up it was two men and a uhaul truck. They started at 2:15 in the afternoon and it took them until 10:15 at night to finish. They were unprofessional and the shear amount of time it took them to complete the task I feel was uncalled for. I feel like they purposely were wasting time to drag out the move so I would have to pay more money. After the first three hours which we paid in advance it was $120 an hour for each additional hour. The lady at the office did take off one hour for the time it took over but I don't feel like that was enough. They were supposed to come with two wardrobe boxes and didn't have them so we had to run to uhaul and buy them and they scratched my daughters brand new bed and it isn't put together tight. They also broke a plastic container used to store under the bed. I would not recommend this company for any reason. I feel ripped off and the lady at the office was very rude trying to defend her two movers who obviously didn't have any idea what they were doing. Oh and I forgot to mention, I moved a lot of the boxes myself all week so the movers wouldn't have as much to move. I imagine if I had not done this they would have taken a few more hours to make the move. read more

This is the fourth time I've had to move and they made it not only easy for me, but pleasurable from the very start; from the initial booking of my appointments with Rebecca over the phone, who was extremely sweet and very professional in meeting with my demands and being able to calm me down from the pressures of having to move to a new town. And the moving team with their amazing and very professional field supervisor/Crew leader, Reco are not only very courteous, hard-working and professional, but with also a wonderful sense of humour and he and his crew not only made the move look and feel easy, but made it a pleasure to have them in my home and they work very quick and handle everything from the most delicate of my possessions to the worthless with kid gloves; did I mention courteous already, these gentleman were beyond helpful from start to finish!!
