There is not a single part of my experience with this company that has been positive. If you are…read moreconsidering using this company, I urge you to choose a different company as I would never recommend anyone go through what I did.
I scheduled a moving date in April for my moving date in May. I had not heard anything from the company regarding updates on scheduling after my initial calls regarding pricing. I called 2 days before requesting a time when the movers would be arriving. No one could give me any information whatsoever. I called again the day before & they could not give me a window of when the movers would be arriving. I would say that is important info to know the day before. Additionally, the person I spoke to at the Tampa office was short, rude, and actually hung up on me. Left a bad taste before the move had even begun. I should have cancelled at this point in hindsight.
On the actual day of the move, I called for the 3rd time. They framed it as they would be at my apartment sometime in the afternoon, but could not give a specific window (keep in mind, I had requested a morning move). I heard directly from the movers very close to the arrival time saying they would be even later in the day due to forgetting equipment at their previous move. When they arrived in a huge truck, I should have known there was miscommunication.
I was quoted around $400 twice by 2 different sales associates over the phone, MAXIMUM $500. To put it into context, I was moving from a small bedroom inside of an apartment (not the entire apartment, just a single bedroom) to a house. In total, there was a queen bed, desk, dresser, small mirror, wooden trunk, lamp, rug, bookshelf, & a king sized headboard that was moved. No additional boxes or furniture. A very small amount of items that honestly could have fit in the back of a truck bed. When the moving team arrived, they were in a huge truck. The movers themselves were surprised to see what needed to be moved & questioned why I requested such a big truck, when no such request was ever made. One of the movers even commented they would have brought their own truck and would've taken $200 for the job.
Setting that aside, they packaged my items up and loaded them into the truck. I was aware they had an hourly rate, which was consistent with why they took so long. When we arrived at the house, they got on the phone with their supervisor who wanted me to pay the pricing up front and sign. When I was informed the total cost of the move would be ALMOST $1,000, I could not believe my ears. After going over exactly how the SMALL amount of furniture could cost that much to be moved from Rocky Point to Brandon, I realized just how scummy this company is. The movers refused to unload my furniture until I paid in full. I had already paid the security deposit of $250 prior to the move and then on top of that I was expected to pay $737 at the time of unloading.
I had signed the contracts & been trapped into this agreement, even though I was quoted TWICE over the phone that this move would not be more than $500. I was now being asked to pay more than double.
After going back & forth and realizing there was no agreement to be made, I paid the $737 so I could get my furniture. Once they were finished, they had me walk through the rooms to "confirm all the furniture was present" as phrased by the movers presenting me with the document. Everything was inside, so I signed (again, foolishly). After they left, I noticed there were deep gouges in the brand new wood hallway floors from them scraping items upstairs that I had not noticed while they were present.
I was already upset with the experience and frustrated with the deception of the sales team. My roommate from my previous apartment reached out to me a few days later asking if I had unplugged the mini fridge in the garage which held her diabetic insulin. I then realized the movers had carelessly unplugged the fridge when retrieving the king headboard from the garage area. The mini fridge held medically necessary insulin inside, totaling over $400 in insulin she could no longer use as it had became warm & unusable before she noticed.
This was the final straw with this company. I filed a claim on 5/10/26 & as of 6/27/26 have heard no updates. I disputed the charge of $737 with my credit card company, & since I signed those contracts, there was no reimbursement they could provide for the damages.
Every step of the process was terrible. I know writing a review will not get me my money back or reverse the damages, but I hope this can warn any future customers to look at other companies when deciding which company to choose.
Update: still have not heard back from anyone at the company. Reached out via email and also left a message with the claims department. Someone should be reaching out to me, not the other way around. Expected this based on the way I was treated with every other step of the process.
