just now New Reasonable price | $800-1,000 These guys are awesome. Gavin Donta and Chris H all were very professional friendly worked hard and did a great job if I had a moving company this is the three that I would hire. I love how they took care of my stuff wrapped things up took care of it as if it was their own communicated with me on everything drove the truck smooth in a timely manner yeah big kudos to them. Somebody at the office, not sure who was constantly sending text messages throughout the process, which honestly became obnoxious. If you have people signing agreements and waivers, then there's no need during your move to be sending people text messages. So whoever is doing that at the office stop micromanaging if you hire great people, they will do great work. Trust your employees read more

Big Man's moving has moved me twice, and I have been happy both times. The movers were helpful and kind and very quick. The second move was not under happy circumstances and I still think about and am so grateful for their patience, compassion, and good humor. They made a hard day a little easier. The communication was quick and responses were very prompt. Price estimates were spot on. The prices were on the higher end but I absolutely think I paid for the quality and found both times that it was absolutely worth it. I plan on using Big Man's Moving for as many future moves as I am able (hopefully for me there are not many more! ) highly recommend! read more

Based on several reviews that I read on Facebook groups of people moving to FL, I hired Big Man's to move my husband & I from NJ to FL. Planning the move was very easy & efficient. Themis & Richard who were the guys that moved us did a professional & excellent job in wrapping up the furniture in blankets & shrink wrap & were careful on our floors. As we drove to FL, we passed our moving truck twice & noted that Themis was driving very carefully & was in the right lane. The unloading went well. Thanks Big Man's - great job! read more

HORRIBLE. BEWARE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I will update my review to add details. However, I want to make sure NO ONE ELSE falls victim to this sham of a "moving company". Literally the worst movers I have ever used and I have moved 5 times in the last 6 years. Moved the same things each time and this company managed to damage over 20k worth of furniture & damage my wall. Not to mention the complete unprofessionalism of everyone involved. They did not complete the job either. Stay far aware. read more

Big Man's Moving Company - 10,000$ table from Italy. Broken. And somehow the company is blaming me! - Movers Near Me - Clearwater, Florida

We hired them for packing services in addition to the move. Many items were poorly protected (frames on art), packing tape was applied directly to items, dining chair legs and bed frame were not adequately protected resulting in severe scratches, and more. No inventory of loaded items was provided. I personally saw a sculpture we brought back from Thailand loaded on the truck, but it wasn't delivered so I assume they broke it and didn't own up to it. No moving equipment (rolling trolleys, etc.) were brought to the destination so the movers used a neighbor's cart at the destination. They broke it and an antique sideboard fell off and was damaged. Cannot express enough how disappointing the experience was. I suspect the company owners know they let us down because there has been zero followup. read more

Cliff, Cory, and Eric were my unloading crew. They arrived on time, very polite and courteous. They handled my belongings very carefully and were careful with the walls and floor in my new home. They put the furniture where I wanted and assembled my pieces. They worked efficiently and even did a second drop off. Zach and Josh's communication before the actual move date was frequent and made sure everything went smoothly Would definitely recommend Big Man's Moving company read more

Joshua, you can continue to hide behind waivers but everyone now knows that to you did not do the right thing but reimbursing at least part of the tv that was damaged. We were not asking for a lot but im glad this is not the way I deal with issues in my business or we wouldn't have any clients. I don't want to contact you since we tried that and all we got were redundant emails on what we signed and CYA yourselves. Great job and hope my review is seen by all the folks who view my posts. Keep doing business that way young man Instead of reflecting on your own bad experience and how you started your company as you claim. All you had to do was the right thing, call us and come to some kind of fair reimbursement and all of this would not have been posted. Going back to shopping for new tv now. Best, R. read more

THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU!!! I WISH I NEVER USED THIS COMPANY! I paid a deposit which never went towards my move and then after i paid cash for my move they charged my card for additional amounts. They will charge you an extra 200 at the very end for the movers using dollys or the truck and this is on top of the actual cost of the hourly rate. Then when you ask them about this charge they go silent and never are heard from. They ran my card 2 times WITHOUT MY PERMISSION for additional amounts that were never part of the agreed on amount after i had already paid them. I had to report fraud on my cards cause of them. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN A COMPANY!!! read more

The best moving co in the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete market! Great reviews! Award winning movers!

This is the second time I've used Big Man's. They moved me into a storage unit and then into my new house. To say that this company is amazing is an understatement. Roberto, David and Ken were professional, friendly and got the job done quickly. I highly recommend! read more

This is my 3rd time using the company- this time it was a gift to my daughter and son in law moving from NPR to Brooksville into their first home with a newborn. They had packed themselves but needed the truck and the muscle for moving the furniture and all the boxes. The crew: Antoine, Devon and Jerry were quick and efficient. They will put everything on the truck so if something is not going make sure to communicate this with all 3 or put a sign on the price otherwise it will show up at the new place. That's how quick and efficient they are- no standing around wiring to be told what to do. Very careful with your things and very personable guys. Pricing is upfront with no surprises. read more

Initially when job was set up no time was given for arrival I was told i would be contacted the day prior to moving. I was contacted at 10:30 am and told they were wrapping up a job and he woukd get back to me at 1pm then that text stated they had to unload and they would get back to me...they finally arrived at 5:15 exhausted. They rushed wrapping my larger items up in blankets (that were covered in holes) and were letting the dolly drop down every step holding my 3 large bins. I expressed concerns about the rough handling of items which they brushed off. In a rush they stacked items on top of bins and a small plastic bin with my silverware in the holder fell off the top and silverware went everywhere and broke the bamboo containers holding the silverware. When they were finished, they still needed to set up the bed and 55' as well as the 70' tv...the king bed was set up wrong and needed to be turned as well as the bins needed to be on the floor not stacked they were trying to get me to pay I explain that these items need to be complete that I was to have shoulder surgery and unable to lift the tvs bed and bins. He became upset yelled at me that they were all tired, which in turn I said, not my problem. After they left I found chipped would on dinning table from exposed wood when packed and my new dresser drawer handle had been snapped off! And when moving the TV lost my roku ( the plug was present next to the TV set up but not the actual roku).I was unable to move the dresser to unplug either the TV or roku bc of my shoulder. When I reported what had happen during the mive and the damage to my furniture aa well as the lost roku, I waa told "I" could fix them myself and brushed off the roku as if I misplaced it. Terrible experience and very expensive moving company compared to others. I highly recommend getting another company who actually value their customers time and patronage! Terrible customer service...and who wants to start moving at 5:30 at night!!!! read more

They are very unprofessional, they hit my gate and will not pay for it. They over charge, workers are slow to eat up time. I wouldn't let them move my dog. Horrible people need to be out of business. I wouldn't recommend them at all. read more

Hardly this company deserves the best of Tamoa Bay! The crew is had i would use in a heart beat but NEVER the company. The Crew - OUTSTANDING! Gave 200% even being expected to complete 2 full moves in one day! I hope they got overtime! The company and Owner - I would NEVER do business with them again! They lack transparency and integrity. During the sale process, they were beyond responsive. I was NEVER told I would be the 2nd move of the day or that it was even a possibility at the time of the sale. The follow up to discuss scheduling of the move was basically nonexistent. Since I was a Monday morning move, I expected a call reference timing on Monday to be received on the Friday before. I heard nothing on Friday or Saturday and only receuved info on Sunday after I left 2 voicemails and sent emails requedting a call. It was only then it was communicated that I was the 2nd move on Monday and should expect the crew around lunchtime, about noon. The crew didn't show up until 2:30 pm - not their fault as the 1st move scheduled by the owner took MUCH LONGER than planned. So I was INCONVENIENCED as my move was not completed until 11:15 pm. NEVER was there an apology for the delay. Of course, I was expected to pay the full price without any compensation for my inconvenience. Oh, the owner felt he was being generous to not charge a 5% credit card fee on the portion I charged which amounted to about $90 max. Again, I recommend the crew, Antoine, Cordero, and Chris, but NEVER, EVER, the company!!!! read more

We thought we finally found a good mover. We were wrong. They moved us across town. Our most valuable piece of furniture is our Amish dining room table. They removed the top from the pedestal to move it. Fine. Then they tried reassembling it at the destination. They misaligned the holes and tried screwing the screws into hard wood. We asked them repeatedly to please stop. "No. We got it." And they kept trying. Now we have a table in two parts in our house. We asked them to pay the $200 (or less) to repair it. They said, "No, we do not fix things that are that expensive." We would never use them again, and would not trust anyone who bases their service response on what it might cost to repair a mistake. read more

Great company from first contact to completion. Michael and Zach were easy to work with in setting up the timing of the move. Then during the move Devon, Eugene, and Maurice took great care in handling every box, furniture. We also had them move a piano in which they use care in wrapping and handling. I highly recommend Big Man's Moving Company. read more

Billing: Overcharged me, claiming one of the guys did a 15-minute walk-through of a single-level, 2-bed, 2-bath, 1,600 sq. ft. house; while the other guy stood at my counter WAITING for the office to tally up my bill. 15 minutes does not sound like much, but at $150 an hour, it added up to $37.50. The crew (very young) worked hard. No one would talk to me about the overcharge with me - TEXT only. Josh is all lip service until you have a question, then he sends a text. Zach works at a storage unit somewhere, and he was not helpful. When talking with Josh about an early-morning move, he hemmed and hawed, stating they own 6 trucks and that he would try. They could do better. read more

I used Big Man's Moving to my by 3 bedroom house locally from largo to Clearwater. Couldn't have been better!! The crew was on time and very professional. The move went perfectly no damage and my back appreciated not having to lift anything!! 10/10 would highly recommend!! read more

Post script to my earlier review. I believe the damage to my table was preventable. The company has offered to pay a small sum, which I accept as resolution of the matter. Considering the effort put forth before, during, and after the move, I believe a rating of 4 stars is warranted. Be sure to watch your movers and speak up if you are concerned during your move by any company, before damage occurs if possible. Anyone you hire should be accountable for the quality you expect. read more

We had a two-truck interstate move from suburban Memphis TN to Lakewood Ranch FL. Themis, Nick, and Phillip arrived at 8am, filled both trucks in a day, and amazingly started the drive back to Florida that same day. They were so fast and efficient! Our furniture was carefully wrapped and all arrived safely. It was a huge job, and they did it quickly and with smiles. Now we just have to unpack all those boxes we packed. We had a horrible move 20 years ago with Allied, and have seen the bad. Would not hesitate to recommend Big Man's to anyone looking to move down to Tampa metro. 10/10! read more

I am long overdue to write this review! Nick M and LJ were exceptional in helping us with our move from Florida out of state. Nick carefully packed all of our items so that everything fit into the moving truck, we had so much stuff and I was so impressed with how he took the time to make sure everything fit. They were so diligent in how they handled all of our boxes and items, and absolutely nothing was broken or damaged. We even had a few pieces of furniture that were previously damaged, and as Nick M and LJ moved each of those items, they made sure to check in with us so that we were aware the damage already existed. I was so appreciative of their kindness and diligence. They did an exceptional job and I hope they are acknowledged by the company and its owners. A tremendous thanks to them again for making our moving experience go as smoothly as possible. read more

We had Big Man Moving, move our belongings to a storage unit in June and then to our permanent residence a few weeks ago. We couldn't tell the condition of everything in the storage unit, but once they moved it here we saw that 99% of our furniture was damaged as well as some of our fragile items. When we filed a claim with their insurance company, they came back that they would give us $50. We had thousands of dollars of furniture damaged. Strong suggestion not to have this company move you. read more

The owners wife posted on Facebook advertising their company and services. We consulted them via a comment on Facebook and later they inboxed me to fill out a comment card on their website. I obliged. Got a return e-mail later that evening requesting for me to fill out an inventory checklist. The next day got a phone call from them to consult with me about moving. I was asked for another over the phone inventory and photos via text message. After that, followed up with an e-mail. Originally I asked for an ALL IN QUOTE. Service for Moving and packing in total. I did not receive that... Here's what happened: I had to provide two different consultations with multiple people who did not communicate the conversations, text messages and emails I had with other members of this company. They urged me to reserve my moving and packing days by putting down deposits; TWO different deposits: One for a moving quote and the other for a packing Service quote. So, one quote deposit cost me $150 and the other $350!!! Here's what went wrong: I'm a military veteran and have moved around the world most of my adult life to include utilizing civilian moving companies in the past. There was too much miscommunication! One guy texts me for hours providing me different information and quotes not listed in the prior emails form the company. This happened for both quotes. Additionally, the tie breaker on the deal was they wanted different rates for time needed to move (there was NO exact number). THEY DO NOT DO IN HOME QUOTES LIKE OTHER LARGE MOVING COMPANIES SUCH AS COLEMAN AND ALLIED WORLDWIDE. You as a customer have to do all the work then foot the deposits. When I told them I wanted to hold off on additional deposits because I wanted to get quotes and proposals from other companies they simply told me it's best to cancel my move until I was ready or sure because I was blocking their other appointments. They make you feel very pressured into paying deposits to book a move... This is the worst part of it all: After I canceled my move due to going with a more professional company they kept $50 of my deposit money!!! SO I PAID THEM TO DO WORK FOR THEM FOR A PROPER PROPOSAL AND THEY STILL KEPT PART OF MY DEPOSITS! In the future I WILL Not hire them. I deeply regret this because I love to support fellow veteran business owners. Although everyone at this company I conversed and corresponded with was gracefully kind they just aren't organized in communication and have no true structure when quoting the scope of work for a move. read more

I'm watching the Olympic opening ceremony after Big Man Moving relocated us today. It's a great feeling to be able to relax after a totally stress free moving day. We've moved 6 times in the past 8 years, and never has the communication been better. From my initial inquiry, through final settlement, everything was above board and top notch. They did exactly what they said they would, on time, professionally and with no surprises at any point. Moves are usually stressful. Do yourself a favor, eliminate the move stress element and join the BMM happy customer family. Worry about important things, not your move. Thanks to the whole Big Man Moving team. Typically, dealing with moving companies is a nightmare. Not so with this company. Big Man's has great communication and were very accommodating during scheduling. I came to google to read the reviews about this company and man was I duped. I had my movers show up at 9:25 and leave at 12:25. But since the GPS showed that they "showed up" at 9:13 I was charged an extra $200. Now, normally a company would speak to the employees to confirm my complaint since the gentlemen who came to pack admitted they parked at and went to the wrong house but no. He nicely took off 15 of the 30 minutes but continued to tell me he was doing me a favor. I tried to cancel my move 69 hours before the move date but since it's within the 72 hours I'm on the hook for $1,100. Instead of doing the right thing and saving face where I could've walked away happy they decided money was worth more than good customer service once again. Do not believe everything you read because I'm now concerned because I tried to to cancel that they will be adding on even more "fees" to my move. I will never use them again and I recommend you find a reputable company to anyone thinking of using them. On a positive note, the gentlemen that came to do the packing were friendly and professional and apologetic for their mistake. So there's that at least. Note: I received the bill at 12:27 and handed the cash over right then. But when I brought this up to another manager, I was told that since they didn't turn the truck in until 12:46, the time it took to speak to the person I was paying, that I should've been charged for that time too. they will nickel and dime you for every cent and tell you you're the problem. read more

This was the second time I've used this mover, and I'm completely satisfied with their service. It's important to remember that they work BY THE HOUR and not by the job. While they will provide an estimate, they emphasize it's ONLY an estimate and the cost may be more or less. In my case, I "guesstimated" the time required to perform the move, and I was pleasantly surprised that the movers Braulio, Drew and Richard were WAY faster than I thought they would be, so the resulting charge was substantially less than I had estimated. Additionally, the moving crew was friendly and personable! Extra points for smiles! Their communications leading up to the move (including a "here's how to prepare for your move" video) were helpful.
