From the moment I explained my situation in having to downsize my unit, Scott went above and beyond to make sure every one of my needs was met. He is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about making the storage process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Scott took the time to walk me through all my options, answered every question with patience and clarity, and made sure I felt confident in my decision. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile truly set him apart. I've been a client and Extra Space Storage for years it was previously owned by Ray Self Storage and previously owned by another company so to say that my belongings have been there for at least 15 years is an understatement Self Storage a great job as to the previous company Extra Space Storage is rude and unhelpful you have a problem ask for a corporate number they can't give you one you talk to Joe the so-called manager he actually is rude and hangs up on you I can't say nothing about this facility but do not put your belongings there there are times when the heats on and there's times from the air conditioners that on and it ruins your belongings beware of Extra Space Storage they have no people skills and they don't have a number of corporate don't have an email to corporate they just blow you off read more

The first experience was great, the Rep was respectful, courteous, knowledgeable, and a perfect gentleman. However, earlier the next week I was accused of using a unit that was not assigned to me by the storage manager on Micik. This was not the unit assigned to me nor had I moved in yet. If this is customer service, rude, condescending. arrogant, and disrespectful I do not care to have my belongs stored there. I would have given this location a 0 if were possible. read more

I just moved in. The process was made very easy and no contact by the office staff. I used Docusign (from the App Store) to complete the paperwork. All decent storage companies charge insurance. Factor that in when choosing l. I called three and decided to go with this place. The location is right off NJ 17. Easy. My locker is on the third floor. It's clean and cool. So far, so good. I'll add more if I encounter anything odd. Did I mention how clean it is? The last storage I used was disgusting! And I was robbed. Insurance is worth it. Good luck! read more

The facility is clean and the staff is great. There are 4 entrances and 4 elevators so I am never to far from my unit.

The worst manager (rude, abrasive, no customer service, arrogant) I've ever encountered in my 10 years of renting storage space. Every time I would arrive, I would get hassled. The upper management should be aware of this, they break promises, change prices at a whim, and tell you lies. STAY AWAY! read more

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. The initial rate they quote is only good for a few months and then they can raise it up to whatever amount they please. So after five months or so, your bill will most probably increase by 20%. Of course they (in my case, Aaron the manager) will not tell you this when you enter into the contract. Go to a more reputable company where the rate is at least goof for a year. STAY AWAY from these guys!!! read more

This is an excellent storage facility. The woman that answered the phone when I called about rates and availability was very polite and helpful. I dealt with Hilton at the facility itself in Mahwah. Don't use this place. They sucker you in with a great rate and then after a six month period increase it almost double!!! After talking them down they would only agree to a 50% increase!!!!! We originally acquired storage there for $130 a month. Six months later we get a notice in the mail that the monthly rate was increasing to $250 dollars a month!!!! We called and after the rep spoke to the owner he agreed to $172 + tax a month, making it clear that after another six months there would be a rate increase. Big scam!!!! read more

Everything was explained clearly by the manager including the insurance requirements and coverages for the units. Temperature controlled (enough) to keep my belongings in good condition. I had a unit at the Extra Space on Ramapo Road. I want other potential customers to know that because of the agreement that you have to sign with Extra Space, the company doesn't have to pay a dime if there's a flood, even if they are at fault. In my case, a pipe burst inside the Ramapo Road facility and my possessions, including a television, were soaked in cold, dirty water. Buyer beware. read more
