I am up and down about my experience with Focus Movers…read more First, for some reason they had me down twice for moving. Once on Monday and the second was on Wednesday (the day that i wanted) of the same week. Weird and doesn't make sense. Second, my appointment was set and confirmed with the office guy (the day before) for at 9am but on the day of the move, i get a call from the driver that he wouldn't get there till 9:45am and he didn't show up till 10:15am. The guys that moved me were very friendly, nice and courteous. Lastly, i was unaware that they didn't accept a check as a form of payment (which they should tell everyone during the confirmation call, what forms of payment they accept) so i had to use a credit card and they charged a 10% convenience fee! Crazy amount of money!!! Normally convenience fees are to cover the cost of processing the card, not to make money off of it! All and all, i feel like the communication needs to be better with them which were the root of all my issues. The actually moving part, they did an excellent job just poor communication.

The crew i hired to move my stuff into storage took 6 men and a day and a half. Mind you it was all completely packed and marked ready to load on the trucks. It still took that crew of 6 a day and a half. And a cost of $3000. Gastley is the crew i called to move from the storage units into my new house. A crew of 3 moved all my stuff into a 3 story house in 8 hours and it cost $1700. Very nice and good group of guys incredible work ethic and handled all my items like they were their own. I highly recomend Gastley they are the best! I will use them again without hesitation!

Then when I called them out on it and canceled my request, they were absolutely fine with losing my business. Then claimed they suddenly were too busy to confirm my request/business. However, all they needed to do was tell me that, instead of dropping me when I was organizing my move. I'm sure they are great IF you can get them scheduled, but my trust in their ability to communicate is gone so am looking elsewhere. I will leave an example of their "excuse" just so you know who you are dealing with when setting up your move.

A quick appointment, they were efficient and we're really happy with the work and vibe of the movers. True attention to detail, great stuff. We will absolutely keep their card and use them again. Although not required, I would tip them well! The guys deserve it. If you're moving anything heavy and cumbersome (like radiators for us) or an entire house in Baltimore or Maryland, you need to give them a call.
