He caused a 55 inch TV to almost fall on me due to another improper installation. Which caused damage to the wall. It is now May 2026 and still nothing we had originally agreed per emails and text. I would never recommend anyone to hire this company to do anything. Update: I was asked by the owner Dwayne Wolfe to remove my review in order to receive my refund. It has been over 2 months now since our last email conversation. Dwayne Wolfe is not honest nor professional. I have been waiting since July 2025 to receive my refund for damages to my furniture and wall done during a move. I should have canceled the TV mount service being that I used his TV mount service before and that TV wasn't mounted correctly then. This time, I tried to give him a second chance only to have a 55inch TV almost fall on me due to another improper installation. Which caused damage to the wall. It is now February 2026 and still nothing we had originally agreed per emails and text. Original Review: Last year, I had Dwayne and his crew move me from Lancaster Pa to Manchester PA. The move was great they took very good care of my Antique furniture and other containers. So because of that I reached out to Dwayne to handle my move to Alabama with a stop on the way in Maryland to pickup my partners things. Upon arrival she was told that everything may not fit. Which was very unprofessional when there was more than enough room for her things to fit. Especially, when the truck had more than enough room if packed correctly. Once they began packing all had fit and what small things didn't go we packed in the car. As we got closer to evening Dwayne advised that he was going to get a hotel and arrive to the house in Alabama in the morning. We arrived to the house at 9am and no call, text, or email from Dwayne. We went to get breakfast still no call, text,or email. I called while at breakfast and was told by Dwayne that the helpers woke up late and they will be at the house by 12pm. Upon their arrival at 2pm (5 hours late), Dwayne called and advised they were at the house and decided to unload the truck in the driveway. As we pulled up to the house from picking up cleaning supplies and water for the guys we noticed our stuff on the driveway like it was a garage sale or something. It was so unprofessional and disappointing to see. Then, after they moved the things into the house Dwayne seemed frustrated and annoyed when I asked about him installing the TV's and assembly of the beds which was part of the agreement. He proceeded to install the bed and TV's. He seemed to struggle to install a TV wall mount and TV on the wall. Then, I went out to the hardware store to pick up more proper screws for the TV mount. Not sure what he did with the screws he removed in Manchester for the same mount. All the screws were packed and labled to make the installations smooth. But while I was gone he assembled 1 queen frame and a twin futon. When I came back they placed the TV on the wall and I looked at everything that wasn't till wrapped in plastic. They brought in the final piece of furniture. It was completely destroyed. I told them to leave it in the Garage. He decided to leave it right at the entrance of the garage door. So I had to move it to the side wall myself. He said it was fixable and its not. We went to sleep woke up the next morning sat back on the bed and the bed shifted with a loud bang. Noticed that the bed wasn't properly assembled screws missing and loose. I immediately checked everything. The twin bed was missing screws and shifting left and right. My antique coffee table was scuffed in mutiple places, dinning table scuffed, dressers scuffed, bed frame chipped and scuffed, some China plates cracked and destroyed, desk missing a part, screws checked and noticed screws were loosened and had to be tightened and the motor bar was disconnected, computer monitor mount was chipped like it was dropped on the ground. I was emailed by Dwayne to sent photos was told by email that they did their best and I would be fully compensated. I'm still waiting.

The loaders did not secure, or pad a single piece of our furniture which all got damaged in transit. I didn't see it all till it was unloaded. These guys had no idea what they were doing and only cared about doing things quickly. I sent a slew of photos to the owner. He said he cut the guys that did our move but I want replacement furniture and my $1100.00 back. I used two of his guys when I moved in December of 2024 and they were great, which is why I chose to use him again. Unfortunately, this time things did not go well. The 3 guys he brought were young punks. They did not listen to anything I asked them to do. They always did the opposite. They were careless and were running furniture into walls. They bent the door jam on my old bedroom door. I caught it and made them bend it back. I got after them numerous times in the new apartment because they were trying to drag furniture and the dolly across the new plank flooring. They damaged items. They ripped the lid on one of my reptile aquariums. There are items that are still missing. The highlight of the day was when the one kid packed the keys to my new apartment, my car keys, and daily medications that were sitting on the kitchen counter into a box and threw the box on the uHaul. We had to call the lockout service to get into the new apartment. Then we had to search through boxes. It had gotten late, so they basically staged most of my belongings in the garage. They said they would come back the next day to finish. He sent two of the kids back the next day, but it was more of them not listening and putting everything opposite of where I wanted it. They were also being careless again. The one was trying to unpack when I wasn't paying for an unpacking service. So, I cut them loose and said I didn't need them anymore. I still have furniture in the garage that has not been put into place. Then at the end of the day when I paid him through Zelle, we forgot to take off my $200 deposit, so Chris was overpaid $200. I ended up paying him $2,401. He tried treating day 2 as a brand-new project with different rates and minimum hours. I said no because it was what should have been done the day before. Afterwards I was in contact with him regarding the $200 overpayment and the damaged/missing items. He said he would make things right, but then he ghosted me. I tried disputing the Zelle transaction, but you can't dispute Zelle transactions. All in all, it was a bad experience. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. I was disappointed with Chris' dishonesty. I didn't think he was like that.

Moving in and of itself is challenging enough but in our case we needed to remotely coordinate this from San Diego. My husband found Tony (Maya's Movers) online and from our very first interaction we just KNEW this was the right fit for us. I was back there for the move itself and had the absolute pleasure of working with Maya's. They were: courteous, professional, punctual, enthusiastic, personable and a JOY every step of the way. The morning of the move, they were there right on time (early, in fact) and ready to go!!! The entire team of four movers, one of which was the crew chief Keobi (sp?) were amazing!!! Let's be honest. Moving is not fun work....it's demanding, it's physically exhausting and 100% of the time you have clients micro-managing every move you make just waiting for the opportunity to complain about one little thing or another-lol I CANNOT overstate how professional these fine workers were. Every one of them worked tirelessly and did not complain or relent once! As I mentioned, they had to move 50 years worth of belongings in a home that had both an attic (with a low, pitched ceiling) and a basement with narrow, open stairs. Tony even stopped by during the process to introduce himself and see how things were moving along. Other than recommending them to friends who are Realtors back there, I don't know how else to thank them enough. They were absolutely lovely every step of the way and exceeded our already lofty expectations. If I had any criticism at all? It would be that they don't charge enough for the service they provide. Would I love to move all over again? Not really-ha ha but trust me when I tell you if we needed to, there would only be one call we would make and it would be to Maya's!!!! Five Stars, HANDS DOWN!!!! P.S. If all of the above were not already enough, on top of it all Tony extended a 10% Military Discount since I'm a Marine Corps Veteran. Pretty cool guy, right? Look no further, these are your movers!!!!

Some of the other moving companies I contacted never returned my voicemail. We got my move scheduled a few weeks before it was to happen. This was very easy with me discussing the details with Pam as well as texting her photos of the rooms and larger items. There were some blips in the delivery of the Pod and I am so grateful that Pam was able to reschedule with such short notice. Our move was a bit more complex. Double D's had to meet us at a location in Camp Hill to pick up a truck full of furniture. This was brought to our Harrisburg home. And then this as well as everything in our house was loaded into a 16 foot pod. Part of the reason I picked double D's was because of their glowing reviews and their ability to load a POD very tight. They exceeded expectations and used every bit of the pod from floor to ceiling. (A 16 foot POD is for a house up to 1400 ft.². This of course doesn't include your basement, attic, and garage.) They did an amazing job! We had a few items that did not fit and we expected this because a 16" pod is not as big as you expect it to be. (No big deal because we will drive them at another date to our new location.) They then drove these items back to the Camp Hill address where we could store them. The price was very fair. I can't say enough good things about this group.
