They were reasonably priced and due to their quick response I selected to use them. They contacted me twice during the week of the move to make sure that my move was still scheduled and to review next steps with how the move would be facilitated. The two young men, Holden and Antwan, called when they were on their way and provided an estimated time of arrival. After they parked the truck in front the house and conducted a walk thru to ensure they knew which pieces to move, they verified the service price to ensure I was in agreement. They wrapped the door way to prevent damage when moving the furniture. Holden and Antwan meticulously disassembled the beds, loaded the truck, moved the furniture into the new location and reassembled it. They both were very careful handling my belongings, courteous, and professional. My only complaint, which has nothing to do with the gentlemen who serviced my move, but a policy that was not fully explained. When I booked the move, I was informed of a 3% discount if you wrote a check or used cash. However, it must be a Greensboro address on the check. This makes no sense since they are a moving company especially if the check is with a national bank. They need to fully explain the limitations of the discount when offering it as an option. Overall, I would recommend Little Guy Movers and would use them again. Just bring cash if you want the discount for not using a card.

After the movers had left my new apartment I found that ALL of my personal papers, which had been carefully boxed, was missing. All of my bank records, insurance, credit cards, personal correspondence from the last 50 years (I'm 84), photo albums ... ALL of it missing. Almost needless to say, this action by this moving service has been devastating not only to my life but to my loved ones who have also been so badly hurt both emotionally and financially. I will have more details to add as soon as I've recovered emotionally enough to form a credible sentence.

Right Fit Storage at 3404 W Gate City Blvd. in Greensboro, NC, is a new climate-controlled storage facility built with an elevator, making all three floors easily accessible. It is priced very competitively and even runs specials. The current winter special is half off! My favorite part about this location by far is the staff. From the moment I called to schedule a unit, I knew I had made the right decision. When you walk into the lobby, you are greeted with smiles from Keral, Katroya or Angela. This phenomenal trio keeps the property pristine and runs things like a well-oiled machine. The bathroom is spotless and always smells good, and there is hot coffee for guests. I appreciated that Ms. Debbie even called me from the Corporate office to see if I had any questions or needed anything once I was moved in. On the property itself, I love that there is a gate code and security surveillance system on site and that the access hours are convenient. There is plenty of accessible parking, and units on all floors are accessible because of the elevator. If you need extra space to store your belongings, I highly recommend Right Fit Storage on W. Gate City Blvd. It is a new facility, and it is very well run. When you go by, tell them Kindra Speech sent ya!

    Our contract was with AVL. They sold the contract to the sub company-MBM movers. After they…read morecollected the down payment, they had nothing else to do with us. This is what happens when you deal with AVL and MBM. We have yet to receive any call backs from AVL after our move and the nightmare that we have been put through by these companies. At the Beginning of my move the company was all about contractual obligations with regards to packing and pick up dates. Even though we called several times to verify a pack/ship date with customer service that apparently didn't update our original estimated dates. Rather, she simply notated the account. We were told that our stuff would be picked up when we had originally requested, but then something happened with a truck and our driver never came. Funny though, we kept receiving phone calls stating that he was on his way. This most certainly was NOT the case. The pack date came and we were told that "contractually" they didn't have to come until the next day, even though we had told the customer serv. rep. several times what day we needed them to come sooner. So we were stuck waiting. The next day came; the packers arrived late and worked till 4 in the afternoon. They had to leave early because it was someone's' birthday and they wanted to go out and celebrate. We expressed our concern that we HAD to have our stuff out immediately. This did not discourage them from leaving early. They assured us that they would be back in the morning and be completely done packing and loading by noon the next day. The next morning they showed up late and didn't finish until 2 in the afternoon. After our stuff left, the "Contractual" delivery date was the 2nd of June. The driver said later that he would deliver around the 7th, but wanted us to write the checks out in his name. We thought this sounded funny, so we called customer Serv. and they told us that if we did that, the driver could run off with the money and we would still be financially liable to the company. So after hearing that we were not paying him in HIS name, and that the checks would be written to MBM, the driver refused to go any further, and stated that he was sitting in WY refusing to deliver our stuff. MBM said they will only compensate $20 dollars a day for every day that the shipment is late. After some mediation they went up to $30 dollars a day. Then they went UP to 35$ a day, but then later called and said they would still take 30$ a day off the price of the final pay amount, but we could put a claim in later, and at THAT time they would either approve or disapprove our claim. Meanwhile I had to pay $120 dollars a night Plus at a minimum $40 dollars a meal for my family and I, A DAY. The company once again, said "contractually" your shipment is not technically late until 30 days after the delivery date. So at that point we were shoved face first as a middle man between the company and the man who was holding all of our personal belongings basically hostage. MBM was unwilling to do anything further for us because their driver went rogue, and is basically holding our things until his company pays him. I am not in a position to say how the company handles paying the employees, but it is an obvious issue due to this problem.. It is inconceivable that this company would not do anything that seemed to be of their way to make this right for us. We were told several times that they were sending this guy, or that guys ect ect to pick our stuff up and that it would here "by the end of the week". Low and behold, the end of the week would arrive, and NOTHING. No phone calls, no emails... NOTHING! Also, when we started opening boxes for our kitchen items, it became clear that at some point one of the packers had somehow cut himself. Rather than letting us know, he continued to pack with a bloody hand or something. A good 65% of my kitchen boxes contained blood on a majority of the packing paper and or kitchen items. Not only was this a HUGE inconvenience, it is a major health hazard. When my wife informed the supervisor of this situation, we once again received a nonchalant "sorry for your inconvenience".
