I received a notice to renew my box after one year. I went into the store in December 2025 and paid for another year. Today I went in to cancel my box because I am moving and no longer need this address. I never received any mail there, but paid for 2 years of box service. This was my choice. I was told that I didn't have a box there. Despite taking my money for a years service, for some unknown reason (they didn't even have a record of why they did it), they closed my mailbox in March. I asked for a refund and was told that they don't offer refunds on mailboxes. Even though they canceled the service I PAID FOR WITHOUT RECEIVING ANY INPUT FROM ME, OR EVEN NOTIFYING ME, 1/4 of the way through the year, I was refused a refund. They did offer me 6 months of mailbox service, which does me absolutely no good since I am leaving the area! They screwed up and refused to take ownership of the mistake they made!

I let them know that I am driving and that I will pay as soon as I received invoice. my phone blew up with demand for payment and threats to return the items to the original point of pickup. In other words, they were willing to return the items to our client's old residence instead of sending us an invoice and receive payment. They did not take care…read morewith many of our items and even though we specifically asked them to take care on certain things. They brought nothing to protect our wood floors and put moving blankets down at our request but still damaged the floors by dragging furniture. They also damaged furniture that was not wrapped in blankets, even though we asked them to wrap them in a blanket and not just plastic wrap. They threw many items in boxes with zero wrapping or paper; including our lamps with the lightbulbs still in them so the bulbs broke off in the lamps. Jack Jr. never checked in to ask how things were going or to let us know the crew would be late. They were late all three days. Jack Jr. did manage to text often asking for more money. Whether it was a broken-down truck or needing to make payroll there was definitely a money issue. The crew was always friendly but only one out of the bunch did a good job packing.

The movers themselves were wonderful - they worked quickly and tirelessly. One or two broken items but that's expected. When it was time to pay the cost was double the quote due to an 18% gas tariff. A gas tariff? I nearly fainted on the spot but what could I do about it? But here's a question: what if I didn't have the extra money? I won't be using this company ever again no matter how nice, polite and hard working their movers are. I felt disrespected by the cost being double the quote. I wrote down names and dates with price quoted and I'm not mistaken about what the cost was supposed to be. That was just wrong. It felt a bit predatory to charge double and at no time was a gas tariff ever mentioned. Sad. Consumer beware.
