Due to a time crunch and it being the only available unit large enough for our items, I elected to patch those holes myself prior to placing our belongings in the unit. I also placed glue traps, bait units, and I spray rodent repellent. Those efforts have not been enough. The root problem is with the rollup doors. (My unit has two). The weatherstripping is old and deteriorated. They were also poorly installed, with very large gaps for them to get in. So I am left to checking our unit every few days, setting traps, refilling bait stations, etc. We do not store any food items to attract the rodents. It was supposed to be a temporary storage situation, so I thought I could deal with it. At the time of this writing, however, COVID-19 has extended the need to store our items for and unknown period. So doing my own pest control is going to quickly get old. For the last two years, we have rented another unit with another company. I was initially concerned about rodents when we rented it. I placed bait stations and glue traps there. I have never had a problem there. I believe the difference is that it is a newer, all-metal unit and the door is installed much tighter. So keep that in mind when shopping for a place to store your items. This company just changed hands from StoreSmart to CubeSmart. The autopay that I had set up with StoreSmart apparently didn't get transferred. A call to customer service with CubeSmart (which was pleasant) and an online update had this quickly resolved. On a positive note, Harriet has always been pleasant when I call or visit the office. My unit just needs maintenance and/or replacement of the doors. It remains TBD whether CubeSmart will address the obvious shortcomings of this location.

These guys are straight "Moving Scammers"…read more They must have thought that they were going to get over on me, when they heard that I was moving my things from a military base to a city location. They have no idea of what a "Standard" is. To start off, they were more than 3 hours late. I had paid them "half" up front to make sure that they had more than the deposit to make the move guaranteed. They sent their other "brother" to get the money while that they claimed they were doing another move. I was moving a three to four bedroom that was being stored in a 10X30 unit to a couple of 10X20 units in the next city. They were loading with people that I know they picked up off of the street. "Literally". I would see the people that they hired to make the move in the city on a weekly basis. So they must have thought that they were getting over on me. One of the people that they hired was throwing my things in the dumpster to make room on the truck for the move. I literally had to watch them because they were "Extremely Shady". The White mover literally dropped my computer and then said that it probably didn't work anyway. These idiots were worst than trash. After we left the first location the move out location I was under the impression that they would go straight to the move in location but I was definitely wrong about that. They stated that they needed a break and needed to stop and get something to eat before they unloaded the truck. I was thinking that "Normal" people would stop on the road briefly, pick up something and possibly switch drivers while the other driver would eat in transit. These jackasses went missing for 4 hours to the point had to file a police report because at this point they would not answer the phone nor did they respond to my text to where they were with my things. After I made the police report then they wanted to return my call when they got pulled over. The police department asked if I wanted to continue with the incident. I stated that if they get my things to the new location in the next 20 minutes then I will suspend the report. They showed up in 15 minutes after they were released from the scene. They were so slow that they did not complete the move in until the next morning. They were ridiculously slow. On top of that I moved out of a 10X30 to (2) 10X20 units. How do you squish a 10X30 into (1) 10X20 unit. That is why I will have to go through and make sure that I am not missing TV's and other expensive equipment that was included in the move. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. I would never recommend this company to my "Worst Enemy". They are and were that bad. Horrible does not do them justice.

Meanwhile, I have movers waiting at my home waiting for us to arrive with the truck... Mobile Storage Depot took a reservation for a truck and never opened for business for me to pick up the truck and never bothered to notify me or Budget Corporate that they weren't opening that day. This move cost me several hours of my day and hundreds of dollars paying movers to sit around and wait while I went all over Atlanta trying to get a truck.
