-1 STAR = RATS = TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE XTRA SPACE STORAGE = RATS!!!! We have a unit at extra space storage in Dickinson. I went today to retrieve some items only to find my unit is COVERED in RAT droppings! When I spoke with front office, I was told since I don't carry THEIR insurance they can't help me. Has anyone else had this issue? Our unit is in the last building 4. How can we get their help in resolving this issue? I don't have food in my unit and I did not bring the rats! Someone should be liable for sanitizing all of my items. read more

Where do I even begin? When I first walked in, I was greeted at the door by the assistant manager, Amanda. Super friendly and bubbly. She asked what I was in for today and we got straight to the point. She showed me my unit, asked for all of my information, answered all my questions and kept a conversation going through my entire visit. She had me in and out within 30 minutes, leaving me with all my questions answered, a smile on my face, and content with the service. To think she's only been there a month, she was very confident in every answer she gave me to my questions and a great positive attitude! The price is the most reasonable, especially with all that's included. The staff is great and have never had a problem anytime I've been there to ask questions. I will definitely continue doing business with them and upgrade my unit when necessary! read more

The staff here are wonderful. The indoor unit hallways are always clean and I can always find a cart when needed. Ms. Hernandez was amazing and was so kind during move out. If I ever move back down this way and need somewhere to store my items it'll always be here. read more

The property manager is extremely professional, and was in the process of disinfecting everything for COVID when I got there. You could tell he really cared, and was trying to take care of the place as best as possible. I came by to review where I was wanting to keep my boat, and found out a few things that made me uncomfortable. First, it was labeled as having 24 hr access which he told me you have to get approved for. Secondly, the back cinder block wall doesn't have anything to deter people from breaking in. In fact, it looked like there was one area that either had been used to gain access, or it was just in extreme disrepair. Lastly, when I finally went to my unit it wasn't as described. The dimensions were completely pointless as the doorway preventing you from putting anything taller than 7' in it, and I'm not even sure if was wide enough for a standard car. On top of that the rows are too narrow to back a trailer into them even if you could. read more

Beware! They rope you in with lies, but don't care at all when you have concerns! Towards the beginning of last year, there was a break in on the property, damaging dozens of trailers parked on site. We moved out for a time, to give them ample opportunity to install more cameras in order to make the property more secure. When we moved back in, months later, they falsely claimed that they'd never had a break in at that property, and we were promised that they were in the process of scheduling the install for the new cameras. It still took months before they were in. However, they still don't cover the entire parking area. The parking area is all gravel, and large potholes form when there is heavy or prolonged raining. They're unavoidable in many areas, leaving potential damage to vehicles and trailers trying to get in and out. They wait months on end to even begin the process of fixing this issue. The employees of this property do not police the areas well at all. Numerous times, we've been stuck having to find another way around because of people parking incorrectly and/or blocking the driveways. One instance, there was concrete proof that they hadn't driven or checked the property for at least an entire day, and allowed someone to stay on the property in a storage unit, and blocking an entire driving area, overnight for multiple days. Us, and other tenants paid to have our property stored in a secure, gated area. Consciously allowing someone to stay behind those gates, and be threatening to other tenants, is unprofessional, and absurd. read more

By far the most superior storage facility in Texas. We also have an Extra Space Storage unit in California and we know how professional and dependable Extra Space Storage is. That being said, we would never go elsewhere for our storage needs... From the moment we walked in we were greeted with friendly, knowledgeable employees that helped us get in and out FAST. Every question I had was quickly and efficiently answered and I was off to load our belongings into our storage unit. Let me just add that it was about 15 minutes until closing and I was still helped with the kindness and helpfulness that would have been given had they just opened. A lot of places would not have let us in or helped us, getting there so close to closing. Thank you very much for that. The grounds are so well kept and clean. The inside of the storage unit was clean, swept and the rows were well lit. The maintenance was so friendly and helpful, just an awesome staff. They did also have promotions on certain sizes of storage units which was really wonderful. The price we got on our unit was outstanding and we also received the first month free! Do not go anywhere else for your storage needs. read more

I only need the unit for 1 month and appreciate the fact that there is NO contract for long term commitment to sign. The complimentary truck was a Godsend too!
