I thought I would only need it for a month or so. The staff here are EXTREMELY rude and insensitive. I rented a storage unit then relocated to Nevada. My intentions were to come back to SC to retrieve my items. They were advised of that. That's where all the trouble began. The late fees for this place were almost as high as my storage rent! At some point, another tenant cut the lock on my unit and the Regional Manager called me personally and let me know. He also added a new lock and allowed me to pay by phone. I was totally unaware my things were unsecured without that call. The staff NEVER called me, just sent me an email saying my things would be removed and discarded for a violation?? That was attempted theft on my unit, not me not having a lock. The manager (seen in the green shirt) is rude and hates her job seems like. She leaves customers on hold, isn't helpful, and when I needed an extension and/or a late fee waived to avoid losing all my belongings to include (pictures and mostly childrens clothing and toys), she refused. One of her staff said it's up to her if she wants to or not. They said she is "picky" about who she does this for. I was always polite, even though she NEVER was to me. She would leave me on hold, never return my calls and screen my calls. She and her staff are cold and HEARTLESS! Storage is a total ripoff and I do NOT advise using it. You have a better chance of safely using a friend or family members garage or basement than using a Storage facility. I will say this...I've used Public Storage in the past and the customer service was completely different!
