Everything is handmade by artisans, solid wood, and full of character, not mass-produced furniture pretending to be special. The new owner spent nearly two hours helping me sort through options, explaining woods, finishes, and layout decisions. He has a degree in interior design, and it absolutely shows. That experience is why I ended up buying everything for my condo from him except the sofa and bed. They don't carry sofas and offer headboards only, but for dining, storage, tables, and statement pieces, this place is unmatched. Locally owned, sustainably made, and genuinely special.

He was defensive and dismissive to my question, and then became pretentious: Speaking about how interior designers would recognize the character in these pieces and how their customers get the pieces stained to their tastes. He also reeked of cigarette smoke. Not at all what I'd expect from a store on the outskirts of Birmingham. They had actually had a lot of really cool stuff in there, but I would never give my money to a place that employs such a jerk! Good luck!

There was some tables of plates and frames, samples of their store content to tantalize you to come in for a visit. There are a lot of great plates, bowls, mugs and serving platters, some pesto, olive and veggie spreads for bread, pickled veggies. There are some cookbooks, lovely scented candles and many gift and home decor gifts for friends and family. They were running a 14% discount for their 14 year anniversary today. Prices are pretty reasonable.

I love their metal flower pot garden decors, super cute. They have so many wonderful little gifts and fantastic candles and anything you could imagine. I usually buy a couple of their lovely scented candles here. Candles in the tins are pricey, but smell so fabulous and are long lasting too. It's one of the top 3 stores I frequent for gifts for friends and family. Come and take a gander, it's a fun shop for sure to explore.

I didn't have a lot of time in the store today (had an appt nearby that I had to get to), and he fielded some rapid fire questions about the couches nicely and knowledgeably. I may be back soon! While I didn't have a chance to look at prices throughout the store too closely, it doesn't seem like it'd be the most budget friendly spot. When I ordered it it was a bit delayed in terms of delivery (as most things are these days) and during that time the price went down by a good percentage. I called their customer service to see if I could get a price adjustment and they were kind enough to assist and get me the discount. Score! Also, I assumed the items would be shipped but they were actually delivered by the West Elm/Pottery Barn/Williams Sonoma delivery team, and they brought the items and set them up for us. I thought I was going to spend my evening putting furniture together and breaking down boxes but all I had to do was arrange the pieces where they needed to go. Double score! The set is sturdy and great quality. The table is very heavy, as are the chairs and the bench. Our previous table was light weight and as such was beginning to fall apart after a few years. This piece, I think, is going to last us a very long time. And it's made from sustainable wood to boot. Triple score (for the environment!). I can't wait to have our first meal on the deck on this new beautiful set!

Far and away the worst customer experience I've ever had…read more I ordered my daughter a loft bed for her 10th birthday, and I paid for white glove delivery bringing the total to over $3,000. First the delivery crew was an hour late beyond the scheduled window. West Elm also didn't ship the hardware required for the delivery crew to assemble the bed. I was told that I'd get a call in 48-72 hours, so I waited. Of course, no one from West Elm ever contacted me, so I reached out for an update. I was told that I would have a response in 10-12 business days. Meanwhile, my daughter still doesn't have a bed (or her birthday present), and West Elm has left a pile of parts dangerously scattered across her room. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and I was kept on hold for over an hour before I was told there was nothing a supervisor could do to assist me. Then, they asked me (and I quote), "why don't I just go to a hardware store and buy what I need to put the bed together?" I would love nothing more than to never deal with this company again, and if they gave me assembly instructions then maybe I would go buy anything I could to put it together myself. I asked them to email me the hardware inventory list and they said they didn't have it. I realize that mistakes happen, and I was just looking for someone to help fix it. Instead, I was met with ineptitude, apathy, and rudeness. Do yourself a favor and buy from anywhere else.
