The store was a lot bigger than I thought!

Love this store! Service was great! The girl greeted us as soon as we entered and was still personable at the register. She was the only worker in there. She told us that it hadn't been that busy all day, but as soon as she got in this afternoon there were a lot of people. I came around 7:40 ish and there was a good handful of people in here. More people came in as we looked around. They had a lot of stuff! It's a touristy store, but seems like you can just come if you want Detroit gear anyway. They've got pictures posted in a little hallway about the history of Detroit, postcards, t shirts, raglans, mugs, beer glasses, mousepads, coffee, etc. Some of the stuff seemed a bit pricey, but I'm sure people will buy the stuff anyway. I got a nice beer glass for $9. Can't wait to go back again!

I actually really love the concept of this store. They have the Made in Detroit hats, shirts, and other apparel. I thought the Faygo section upon walking in was really cool and reminded me of my childhood. I saw some really cool class blown items and coasters, along with Detroit books. There was a cute popcorn machine in the back with pint glasses above it. I remember my sister found a Detroit patch in here for her jacket. I also saw some Better Made chips, my favorite. They have some really neat and interesting things in this store. One of my favorite things is the design of the store. I love the lit up signs. They have interesting items hanging on the walls. All kinds of posters and picture frames. We were in a bit of a rush, but I loved their mission statement so I will return in the future to get a hat that matches my sisters. I thought about the coffee mug as well because my brother in law collects them. I'm unsure if he has a Made in Detroit mug yet. It's worth looking into though.

Michigan made items to make a gift (all items -Vernor's, Better made Chips, Cherry Republic gummy bears- not pictured)

Wonderful selection of Michigan anDetroit memorabilia and products in one place! This saved me from having to drive all over Michigan to get various items. I'm so glad I found this store.

I absolutely Love This Store !!! Ever time I'm in Michigan, I tell my friends I need to visit this store. Now they're a little expensive but it depends on what you're looking at. I always find a couple of things to purchased and my total is under $100.00 I'd say 9 out 10 visits. Great location on the Third Floor, with plenty of parking. You can do covered in the garage or Valet parking. The staff at "The Detroit Shoppe" is always available to answer your question in regards to the famous pictures or the history books. The Gear, Well I could go nuts with the Gear ! All kinds of very cool one of a kind Detroit T-Shirts. (I.e) Landmarks, Gear Head, Sports & Arts. The T-Shirts are $20 - $30 each. Framed or Non-Framed Pictures are Awesome ! The posters $15.00 - $20.00, but the other Framed Pictures mostly B&W are $40 - $100 range. Great selection on T-Shirts, Posters, Books, Sports, Pictures. Cool selection of stickers & patches as well.

Great feel for the D and many great items to choose from. They have all unique Detroit products and memorabilia here to choose from. They also have a museum within the store where you can get a feel for Motown and the rich history. It is a little pricey but worth it when you can't find some of the books, framed pictures, street signs, records and many other things elsewhere.

I mean making new clothes tailored to fit only you. The store is not very big but there is an infinite number of choices. Tailored clothes are usually more expensive than their off the rack equivalents. However, Claymore's prices are on par or better than competitors. Once you buy tailored clothes you never want to go back to off the rack. It may be the only choice for people who can't buy off the rack without looking like they are wearing their father or little brother's clothes on. Every man should have at least one tailored piece of clothing, it really makes a difference. Atmosphere can be a little intimidating if you don't know some of the terminology so make sure you Wikipedia some.. The staff will do the rest will make you feel at ease. If you are not sure what you are looking for, let the staff know your style, where you intend to wear them, and how often. The staff knows what they are talking about and will lead you to the right choices. Tips: 1) Wait for store or seasonal sales which they have all the time. 2) Register with them and you will get coupons in the mail. 3) If you can afford it, ask for the "bespoke" collection. They cost more but the quality is commensurate with the price. 4) Take advice from Charlie, Mike, and the rest of the staff. These guys are up on the latest trends, styles, and fabrics. 5) If something does not fit right, speak up. Claymore wants you to come back. 6) Colors, patterns, and details can all be tailored. Don't be afraid to ask. For example: Most of my sport coats have some kind of unique lining and people always notice. It does not always cost more.

When I was in the middle of planning my grandmother's funeral, I stopped in hoping to find something suitable for her to wear. It was such an emotional time, and honestly, I didn't know what I was expecting to find. But somehow, walking those aisles led me to the perfect blazer for her. It felt dignified, elegant, and fitting for the beautiful woman she was. In that moment, it wasn't just a piece of clothing -- it felt like part of honoring her properly. Then I found something that made it even more meaningful: a pack of six lapel pins. I decided to place three of them on her blazer, and I wore the other three myself during the service. That small, simple detail created a connection that meant everything to me. It felt symbolic -- like we were still linked, even in goodbye. People often think of thrift stores as just places to save money or hunt for deals, but sometimes they become part of your story in ways you never expect. That day, Value World gave me more than affordable finds. It gave me comfort in a difficult moment. It gave me something tangible to hold onto. Because of that experience, this location in Warren will always feel special to me. Every time I pass by or step inside, I'm reminded of how even the most ordinary places can play a meaningful role in our lives.

Bought merchandise at store, washed it and it fell apart. Don't buy stuff there. Cheap shit!read more
