This is a gorgeous, state-of-the-art facility, and the staff people are extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. They are well-versed in the all things baseball and softball, and they are plugged in with the local leagues, too. The prices are reasonable, the environment is very conducive to practicing hard, and the time flies by when you're practicing at Extra Innings. My daughter began going to Extra Innings when they were in Westfield so she could work on her hitting in the off season. She also was taking hitting lessons from Taylor who was then the assistant woman's softball coach at Amherst College. When they moved to Chicopee we began going there. Taylor is now at Extra Innings and has done great things for my Daughter who had an outstanding senior season. The facility has five hitting lanes for both softball and baseball. Great facility run by good people. They'll work with you, for us we needed batting practice with slowpitch followed by a team practice for youth baseball. They were able to set up both machines seamlessly and quickly. We've practiced as a team there many times, they are easy to schedule with and laid-back with sometimes raucous 9 year olds. The new Extra Innings in Chicopee is going to be my son Noah's place to practice all winter. The place has several batting cages and the nets can be pulled aside to make an extremely large field area. The owners are very nice and the employees that I know are thoughtful, experienced and patient. Noah's own description when he first walked in was "this place is awesome". My son loves baseball. Unfortunately he has separated both of his AC joints in the past so his range of motion in his shoulders is altered. When he attended a camp at extra innings a coach worked one on one with him to help him develop a different way to throw accommodating his new limited range of motion. Last pre-baseball season I brought my grandson there to get him in shape. They worked extensively on his hitting and fielding. He went from being ball shy due to being hit with pitches to a batting average of 566 and a 12 game hitting streak! Plus he made some Willy Mays game winning catches in center field.
