They are located in Northeast Minneapolis and have a parking lot, and there is street parking around as well! The space is small, but there are more tables outside as well! It's a pretty quick/casual environment, or a good place to grab for take out! They make some changes to their menu weekly, and they offer weekend specials, so I recommend following them on social media for all the updates! I've enjoyed everything I've had at Dahlia, from breakfast sandwiches to quiche to pastries. You really can't go wrong here, as long as you get here before everything sells out! They do offer preorders online on Thursdays and Fridays but weekends are first come, first serve so get there early! The pastries here are some of the best you can find in the cities! The croissant dough has so many layers, is airy and perfectly flakey yet crispy. Both their sweet and savory croissants are great.

Love that they have a brick and mortar location as I was never able to catch them in pop up format…read more They use the MN Nice Cream space during the AM/early afternoon (2pm close?) Much like MN Nice Cream, small and popping inside space. I went in on a Sunday around 11 and it was bumpin' as they say. Long line, decent pace however, and cheery staff. Snagged the Le Bistro breakfast sandwich which was huge and tasted absolutely amazing. The egg, the aioli, the cheese, get in my belly. I had it with the pork shoulder bacon. Also went for a dirty chai iced to wash it down which was spot on with flavor without being too much. (Some places that chai will boom too much if you know what I mean ). Also tried the carrot cake which, not going to lie, it looked gorgeous, but didn't hit the spot. It didn't pack a ton of flavor imo but could be me (carrot cake obsessed). Overall great experience and highly recommend. Pricing? Competitive as they say. Worth it. Support local. Thank me later.

A bit on the expensive side, $14, but delicious and cooked to perfection. Fried eggs, smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and tomato jam. Field greens w raspberry vinaigrette was special. F+B, a collaboration between Farmer's Union and Birchwood, has opened near the Guthrie to bring their "Great Minnesota Get Together" favorites to the masses. Their star dish is the Sweet Corn Tomato BLT, which is one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever had (pro tip: be sure to add an egg!). They have a ton of other fair favorites too, including a full range of both breakfast and lunch/dinner dishes (although they only serve breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays). You can order from the counter, but the easiest way to get your food is to place an order online for pickup (they will even do curbside pickup). They have a couple outdoor tables, and Gold Medal Park is just steps away (perfect for a picnic!).

All orders are don'e electronically and then you are sent a text to track it. Food is given to you in a bag, all food is in take out containers. They had a couple tables to sit at. I highly suggest if you order from here, you get it to go or through Uber eats or something. Unfortunately I was visiting and I took an uber there, so I sat and ate there. I love southern cooking, this food was okay, not incredible, My pork chop had a good flavor and the gravy was delicious, but the pork chop itself was very chewy. I could not cut it with the plastic knife I was given. I got collard greens and although it was a different flavor than what I was expecting, they were very good , I would order them again, they had a great flavors. My other side was corn bread. It was ordinary, not great nor bad. Came in a cupcake paper. On a scale from 1-5, I give the pork chop a 3, the collard greens a 5, and the corner bread a 3. No bathrooms, no extra napkins, no water, ...my container leaked gravy all over me when I took it out of the bag. I was a mess and with no rags or napkins. I want to give this place a good rating, I want them to succeed. If you want to try, only get it Togo and preferably idelivered.

Great BBQ - 4 stars…read more Amos & Amos is a quirky place. And I have to admit, I love the weirdness. According to the owner, they've been around for 9 years. But the building itself is an old A&W drive-in fast food joint, built in 1953. Very cool! Most people seem to drive around the back of the building and pull into one of the parking spots that were "order from your car" spaces back in the day. Or you can just park on the street. Then you walk up to the window and place your order. Easy, right? This is where it starts to get weird. The sliding order window has 2 basement window well covers bolted over the sliding doors, like a big clam shell. The owners cut a flap in the bottom that only opens from the inside. Apparently, this is some sort of home-made do-it-yourself security thing. It seems to do the job...but you can't talk to them and they can't hear you until they slide open the door and then shout through the clam shell. And they don't seem to be in a hurry to do anything. I stood around like an idiot for a while, watching the lady, until she FINALLY slid the door open and talked to me. Kinda hard to hear through the big plastic clam shell. Speaking of shouting...you wait in your car or stand outside for 15 or 20 minutes and they yell when your food is ready. You can't hear what they're saying when they shout...but it all seems to workout okay. Like I said - quirky. LOW CARB: Okay, on to the most important thing: the food. I got the rib tip combo meal with a big hot link. Both were excellent. The rib tips were amazingly tender and lathered in generous amounts of a sweet sauce. Great taste. My hot link was huge and flavorful. For some reason, it reminded me of a big blood sausage. Good stuff. Unfortunately, you can't get any meat without sides. And all of the sides are plants. So in addition to my meats, I received and payed for unwanted carbohydrates of coleslaw, white bread toast, and a huge mountain starchy of fries. Those all came home with me to feed the Blue Jays and the Squirrels. That was kind of a waste of food but I had no choice about the high starch carbohydrate sides. I like this place. The meats are great. But it's a little frustrating if you eat low carb. It would be awesome if these guys sold meat by the pound, like many of the other BBQ joints. Oh, well. It was worth the stop. -Maxx
