Might be the cutest coffee shop

Still love this coffee shop! So happy they have the Grey Duck back on the menu and their Chai Tea was extremely good! Lovely old house turned coffee shop! Baristas are always friendly and fast! Seriously try the Grey Duck drink!!

Stopped here on the way to North Shores. Cute home turned coffee shop with ample indoor and outdoor seating. No pups allowed so that was a bummer... it may be because they have a resident pup in the shop. I got the seasonal special - salted maple latte. Espresso was so smooth!! Not too sweet but could definitely taste the maple. A delightful drink and reasonably priced. Will return!

Such a vibe! I'm not a coffee drinker (I know I know I'm weird I get it) but I do love matcha and chai lattes and what better way to try than to get the non coffee flight of matcha, chai and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate and chai were my faves out of the 3. (My kids approved as well) as for food we ordered the bagel sandwich and the one of the decked out waffles. Our bagels came out and we were waiting and waiting, I didn't understand what was taking so long - finally he came out of the kitchen and apologized that the waffle kept sticking to the pan and he had attempted to make it 3-4 times, he offered a refund but we just got another bagel sandwich. The sandwich was okay nothing to run home about so we were disappointed we didn't get to try the waffle. Overall it was a good experience and our drinks were delicious.

Looks like enough has been said about the mansion turned coffee shop. I had time to kill waiting for car maintenance and walked to Coffeesmith, ( in a city that's not pedestrian friendly). BTW there is no sign out front, but hey it's the only post victorian maybe haunted mansion with bright lights on the inside. There is an immediate warm and friendly vibe. A case of pastries that are all tempting. I asked for a scone to eat on site and coffee to go and suddenly received an insider cup. Too minor of an issue to mention so I decided to stay put, sit down relax enjoy the view. There was a large group getting their drinks and snacks as well a steady stream of coffee seekers, (seems like a place where everyone knows your name). The Earl Grey Scone had a unique flavor and went great with their brew as it' the aftertaste I look for. Driving or walking it's a scenic view of the Northeast part of Forest Lake look for the house with no sign and plenty of lights.

I'd seen several reviews from several folks and wanted to try out this quaint coffee shop close to home. And, it didn't disappoint at all! From the outside of the shop to the decor and ambiance inside, it felt like "home" drinking coffee here. As soon as I walked in, a small dog was sleeping on its chair and looked right at home. The staff was absolutely friendly and accommodating. I asked for a mocha/coffee that they recommended and it was wonderful. Not too sweet, not too nutty. The perfect combination! And the presentation was beautiful. Thank you!! I would visit here again. It appeared it was likely a regular shop for some of those that visited. It started off quiet at 8am but became a lot busier as the sun came up. It looks like plenty of people feel the same about Coffeesmith. I would definitely recommend!!

Adorable coffee shop, although it is quite small for seating inside. It was fine when I was there on a winter Saturday morning, but it would be difficult if we had a bigger group or wanted to stay a long time. I order the coffee flight and a pour over. The pour over was tasty, but I was disappointed by the lattes in the coffee flight. They lacked flavor, both from the syrups and coffee. They were milky and not very sweet. On the other hand, the waffle was absolutely delicious. It was very fluffy and well flavored. I maybe back just for the waffle.

Stopped by Coffeesmith on our way to Duluth, and it turned out to be one of the most charming coffee shops we've visited! The fact that they've set up their café inside a house makes it feel cozy and inviting--a truly unique and cute idea. The decor is warm and welcoming, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a good cup of coffee. Their menu offers a great selection of coffee and breakfast items. We decided to try the BARISTA SIGNATURE FLIGHT, which included a 5oz Bourbon Caramel Latte, 5oz Almond Vanilla Latte, and 5oz Miel--all were fantastic, but the Almond Vanilla Latte was our favorite! The others lacked some flavor, may be they can reengieer the drinks. We also had the BREAKFAST SANDWICH, which was tasty, along with an almond croissant and coffee cake--both were absolutely delicious. Service was exceptional too. One thing to note is that this place fills up quickly in the morning, so plan accordingly. But if you're looking for a delightful coffee spot with great drinks, delicious pastries, and a cozy vibe, Coffeesmith is definitely worth a visit!

Talk about a cozy cute coffee shop outside of the cities! I felt like I was visiting a special friend for coffee at their home at Coffeesmith. Staff were very friendly and Louieeee was adorable. At first, I didn't even realize he was right there. I could tell he's a fan favorite and many love him as I'd say every other person coming in, would say hello to Louie. We decided to order the honey lavender latte iced, breakfast Sammie, iced pistachio latte, and almond croissant. Coffee drinks were very tasty. The breakfast sandwich was delicious as it was a bit of savory and sweet. It had a maple siracha aioli on it that complimented it well. The almond croissant was excellent. I love how Coffeesmith partners with local bakery shops for pastries. I cannot wait to come back when it's a bit warmer outside and sit outside while enjoying one of the coffee flights. If you're thinking about checking this spot out, don't hesitate and give it a try.

So I discovered this place when SB closed unexpectedly and I love it. The iced mocha was fabulous; the breakfast sandwich was both sweet and savory. They have nice, lively house music playing and a very sweet frenchie greeting their patrons. I'll be back and I recommend this sweet coffee joint to anyone looking to support local.

I decide to try after I saw some good reviews on here and on TikTok. I wanted to try one of their coffee flights. Immediately upon arrival, it's a cute old Victorian type house. I didn't think the staff were that friendly. The coffee flights can only be made hot unless you order the cold brew one. I didn't really like this, other shops you can get them hot or cold. So I ordered the cold brew fanatic. It is the only one that comes iced and includes the following flavors Cinnamon Toast Crunch, lavender, and brown sugar cold brew. I did get mine with cream. I didn't care for any of them. The brown sugar just tasted like black cold brew coffee, not sure if they forgot the flavor or it just lacks a brown sugar flavor in general. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch didn't taste good till all the ice melted down and then it sort of tasted ok. And the lavender is good if you like lavender. It was heavy on the lavender just tasted very artificial compared to others. My bf ordered the barista signature flight. It had a cafe miel (cinnamon & honey), bourbon Carmel latte, and almond vanilla latte. I don't typically like hot coffee but the cafe miel is good and a frequent favorite of mine since moving to MN and having it at other shops. The bourbon caramel and almond vanilla again didn't have much flavor. The house gives cozy vibes and the two rooms inside each offer their own vibes. There is also seating outside all around the porch area. I wouldn't recommend and I won't go back. There's other coffee shops that I'd rather drive the distance too and enjoy the coffee. I'd honestly rather have Starbucks because at least the Barista's are super friendly and the drinks are flavorful.

Our day took us to Forest Lake and looking for coffee we found Coffeesmith. This place is a vibe! The shop is built into the first floor of an old home with a covered wraparound porch for outdoor seating. Upon entering there is an alcove with staircase and cute wallpaper then straight ahead is a neon sign and modern/minimalist seating options. Turning to the left is the counter and right past the end is additional seating options. The whole setup is adorable and perfect for finding a little spot to catch up with friends or work. We ordered three drinks; mocha, a hot and iced americano with their homemade bourbon caramel. The mocha was perfect. The americanos were also very good with strong espresso shots but, the flavor of the bourbon caramel was a little bit lacking and hard to taste. Might be worth asking for a little extra bump in the flavor if you prefer stronger. The Iargest offering is a 16 oz so the iced drinks feel small. Would be great if they had 20 Oz as an option for iced. They offer some baked goods as well and heard them describing to a customer a chocolate chip biscuit that sounded like an experiment in cookie dough but looked delicious! We grabbed a chocolate croissant which was perfectly flaky and filled with chocolate. I would say this is a destination coffee location. If you are anywhere near forest lake and have time to explore the town, make coffeesmith part of your visit. I wish it was closer so that I could visit more frequently!

Really great old-house vibe in this coffee shop... and the barista made a great cappuccino adorned with a beautiful swan! Well done Coffeesmith!

I was excited to find a bagel shop that reminded me of living on the East Coast back in New Jersey…read more My experience at Big Apple Bagel was not of any bagel shop I remember from back home. I ordered a half dozen bagels, a 8 oz cream cheese and a side of cream cheese for curbside pickup. After my order was brought to my car, I checked it to make sure everything was correct. The side of cream cheese was in a container that you would normally get in a togo order for a side sauce. It may hold an ounce of cream cheese. Mind you, it was $2.40 where the 8 oz. was $6.00. I went in to talk to the person at the counter and they told me that the side of cream cheese comes in that small container. I asked to return it and then I would just buy the larger 8 oz. container instead. They said that was not allowed because it already left the store. Being in customer service, it would have made sense to just give me the credit for the small side of cream cheese to purchase the $6.00 8 oz. container. If anyone wants good bagels and cream cheese, go downtown to Rise Bagels. That is where I would typically go for bagels but I thought I would try Big Apple Bagels due to it being closer. This was my first and last time ever trying Big Apple Bagels and I will keep going to Rise Bagels instead. Mind you, the cream cheese was not even good. We got the very strawberry and it didn't have a lot of strawberry flavor. Also the garden veggie tasted not as good as the store bought Philadelphia version.
