I was pleasantly surprised. The food dished out by these ladies was awesome - hot, savory, and authentic. They were out of pork so I had to order the chicken egg rolls. Not my fave...but still pretty good. The Beef Basil Box was great, complete with my favorite Thai style peanut/coconut sauce and sticky rice on the side - yum! I love good Thai food. The ooey gooey cheese mixed with the jalapeno and crunch of bacon had my tastebuds doing somersaults. The reason I'm giving them 3 stars is that although the Buzzard Balls were fantastic, the price is a bit much for what you get. It barely fills you up, and I could go to a place to get a much big appetizer for cheaper. You don't really have the option of sharing since 3 doesn't even do it for one person. I noticed most of their menu's prices are higher than other food trucks I've seen. Wild Wille's seems like a good place for sampling one or two things on your own, but if you're trying to feed a family, I'd suggest other food trucks or businesses.

I caught up with the Chub Hub food trailer at the Food Truck Friday event in the Stone Mountain Plaza parking lot, Brooklyn Park. I really enjoyed the 2 selections I got at Chub Hub. The giant Jalapeno Poppers fried wontons were great. They had generous amounts of cream cheese and just the right amount of jalapeno to add flavor but not too much heat. I especially loved the large Big Mak egg rolls! They're kinda like a cheese burger cooked into an egg roll with ground beef and melted cheese - yum! They were served with a side of Big Mak dipping sauce that tastes remarkably like McDonald's Big Mac secret sauce. In other words - it's great! The Chips & Dip, house made seasoned chips with a perfect Blue Cheese dip with caramelized shallots, I suggest ordering an extra cup of the dip as there are an abundance of chips. My first cocktail was perfect or shall we say a "Pear-Fect Manhattan". This play on the Manhattan had a hint of pear and was spirit forward. We continued the evening with two sharable plates, the first was the Tenderloin Steak Bites served with a perfect Wasabi Kimchi Sauce. The second sharable was the Chile Seared Shrimp, placed atop delicious Cheesy Grits, very yummy. The evening ended with the most amazing dessert and paired cocktail. This truck specializes in savory food options like a brisket sandwich, chili, beer mac & cheese, a turkey breast sandwich, and more (see menu board photo). While waiting for my food, I had a nice conversation with the owner. He's a trained chef and I'm not surprised after eating my food. You can definitely taste the difference - quality ingredients plus a trained chef equals awesome food! You really can't go wrong ordering anything from Flaming Bowl. A big thumbs up! -Maxx
