Took my jeep in last week. Told them specifically what codes are showing, which all of the owner…read moreforums say is the clock spring. Jeep knows that they have an issue with the clock spring on this vehicle, which is why they extended the warranty on it to 15 years. They call me today and tell me that it is a fuse panel issue and that they can take care of it for $1800. Needless to say, I declined their offer. I go to pick it up and the write up confirms the codes I gave them and says that they recommend "replacing the TIPM then re-evaluate." They never even looked at the clock spring. On top of this, they charged me $165 to plug my vehicle into their computer and confirm the codes I already gave them. My vehicle ran for less than 5 minutes (I reset the mileage and engine time when I dropped it off) and then they "lost" it. Had to have one of the service guys drive around a different lot to find out where they had left it because they never brought it over after testing. And people wonder why no one trusts a dealership.

Hands down the worst business i've done with someone regarding an automobile. Only reason I went…read morethrough with the deal was because of how close I live to the shop. Guy at the counter was quite the jerk until the job was done. After driving with the tint for a few days I decided I wanted to remove a couple windows because they're too dark. I've called three times without an answer and I don't think he wants to pick up. DO NOT GO HERE, it isn't worth dealing with this guy as well as his inflated prices for low quality tint. Update: Found out I was charged twice as much for lower quality tint. That's on me for not doing my due diligence but still. You think someone who specializes in tint would do a good job right?

EDIT/UPDATE: I went back today and had them look at their work on my car. I was told they went with…read morethe cheapest aftermarket bumper, and that's why it doesn't fit properly. They took zero responsibility and told me there was nothing they could do. So, I 100000000% recommend you stay FAR away from Davis Collision. The fact that I'm driving around with a bumper that looks like is embarrassing -- for me AND for them. Because now every time someone sees my car, I can say, "Yeah, don't go to Davis Collision. This is the quality of work they do." I paid to have my car repaired, not to drive around looking like this. The least they could've done was stand behind their work. OG: They were friendly throughout the process, but unfortunately, my experience with the repair itself was frustrating. I was initially told that the only amount I would have to pay was what the insurance company had provided, which was $1,347 and some change. I kept receiving texts with changing dates for when my car would be ready, so I eventually called to check on the status. I was told they were waiting on the insurance company, but that on their end, the vehicle would be finished that night. The next day, I received a call saying my car was ready. I went to pick it up expecting to pay the $1,347 and some change I had been told about. Instead, I was handed an invoice for $1,409 and some change. They had to call the boss in, and I was then told they had repaired a bracket/clip that was supposedly broken. This was the first time I had ever heard anything about a damaged bracket or an additional repair. Nobody contacted me to tell me about it or to get my approval for the additional charge. I was told they could charge me for it because I had signed paperwork authorizing them to repair my vehicle. However, simply signing authorization to repair the vehicle is not the same thing as being informed about an additional repair and its cost. I was specifically told I would pay what the insurance company provided. Even then, I ended up being charged $19 more than what the adjuster had provided. Unfortunately, there are also visible issues with the finished repair. The bumper has a noticeable gap between it and the right headlight, and there is white paint left on my black grille. I understand that unexpected issues can sometimes be discovered during a repair, but the problem is the lack of communication. If I was going to be charged for an additional repair, I should have been told about it before the work was completed and given the opportunity to approve or decline the additional cost. I also expected the vehicle to be properly finished and inspected before being told it was ready for pickup. The staff were friendly, but unfortunately, the communication, unexpected charge, and quality of the finished repair left me disappointed.
