We ordered the beef cheeks, which were served cold (likely as intended but not what I was expecting). Flavor was fine but not great. The burger was also just okay. For something so standard, it was passable but not likely to order again. Our favorite dishes were 1) the duck and 2) potato and vegetable patties. Duck was crispy, hot, and had pretty good flavor! The vegetable patties were also crispy and balanced, slightly sweet. The beer list was limited but we liked what we ordered. Hate to be a broken record but we've had better while in the city. Wouldn't recommend this place to a friend since it was just average.

Quality service, drinks and most importantly food. It's also a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant so you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. If everything I tried, I absolutely loved the red hot chilli burger. It's unique and the flavors are so harmonious... it makes me want to meet the person that designed this burger and shake their hand lol. If I could only eat one type of burger from here on out, it would be this one. I think it would be near impossible to have a bad experience at this restaurant. This place should get awards for their quality! Highly recommended.

As soon as you open the menu, your eyes start wandering because you want to try everything. The atmosphere is extraordinary--it feels as if you've walked into the home of your best friends. My wife and I travel a lot, and nowhere else have we ever been told, "Don't order too much, our portions are very large!" That says a lot about this place. They are not focused on selling you more food; they genuinely want you to enjoy the meal, the atmosphere, and the entire experience--and, of course, to come back again. A special thank you to our waitress, Daria. She has amazing energy, sincere friendliness, and a warmth that makes you feel as if you've known this beautiful young woman your whole life. Thank you very much for a wonderful evening. Stan USA

December 29/2024: Dinner with my Al…read more This was deeply disappointing. We came here with such high hopes. The aroma from the restaurant was intoxicating! The ambiance was superb. They even had a live singer who was excellent! This all crumbled when the food began to arrive. It was next to tasteless. The appetizers ($235.00 CZK $14.50 CDN) was bland & virtually without taste at all. Our server Julia was quick enough to recognize that we weren't enjoying the food & graciously swapped out our appetizer but the replacement was just as bad. In her defence, she did make a partial deduction from the bill. My main was the Chicken/mushroom/potato dish ($415.00 CZK or $27.00 Cdn) It was ok but only had a total of 4 pieces of WAY over cooked chicken and about 2/3 was potatoes. I can say with confidence that after eating at HUNDREDS of restaurants, this was at the bottom for flavour. It's a not-do from my side.

We walked in without a reservation and waited about 15 minutes for a table for two. Reasonable prices for wine and DELICIOUS pasta. I had the cannelloni with truffle and meat on recommendation from our server, and was not disappointed. The sauce was perfectly creamy, and the pasta really did taste fresh! Service was fast and friendly. Probably the best food I ate in Prague!

It was the most expensive meal I had in Prague, and while the food was good, for these prices, I expect to either be really impressed by the food or to have particularly special service or ambiance. Because I didn't have a reservation, I was seated in the entry hallway; the ambiance may be a little nicer in the downstairs dining room. I had the spinach tagliatelle, tiramisu, and a lime iced tea. I thought the candied walnuts in the pasta were interesting and I really liked the dish. The tiramisu was good but not a standout, though I liked how the bitterness of the espresso came through. Lime iced tea was pretty sweet and more lime than tea, but it was nice even if it wasn't what I expected. If you don't care too much about prices, this is a good place, I just think there are comparatively good Italian restaurants at a better price if you go a little further from the major tourist areas.

The sauce seemed to have been made from a can (1 star off) as the diced tomatoes tasted different than the whole tomatoes that were added to the dish later; the whole tomatoes tasted way better. I made a reservation a month in advance, but did not know I had to specifically request for tables outside on the river. When we arrived, only a few outdoor tables were taken, but was told the rest were reserved, so we were seated indoors instead. When we finished our dinner, the same few outdoor tables were occupied. I don't know why the restaurant couldn't just stagger the guests for the outdoor tables according to their reservation times.

Kari's Rating 9.5/10…read more TLDR: -12/10 would come back! -Welcome shot was delicious -Rice is NOT included in the protein entrees -No shortage of Sauces My travel group and I have been in Prague for about four days and we've been rotating cuisines from traditional Czech, Italian, bakeries, candy shops, and now hitting Chinese. Coming from someone of Chinese descent, I thought the dishes were relatively authentic. A lot of the dishes we got included the Kung pow chicken, the braised, short rib, the drunken noodles, the black pepper, beef, and a Tom Kah soup. Not that I thought the soup would have be huge portion-but I wish the soup would have had a little bit more substance as it contained a slice of king oyster mushroom, a few noodles and a single piece of chicken. I did have to order rice on the side to substitute more of a substantial meal as this was considered my dinner. I was shocked that none of the protein oranges came with rice which I thought was a little bit weird but we all had a tag on a side of rice which was 68 crowns- or $3 .15. Again, not a huge deal, and the waiter did mention none of the dishes came with rice-so it was almost an automatic tag on. Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the area!

This is a beautiful, multilevel restaurant with an impressive design and interesting atmosphere…read more The space is definitely eye-catching, although some of the tables, especially on the lower level, are way too small for a group of five once all the dishes start arriving. We've even warned our server even before we started. The service was pleasant and responsive. A special thank you to Teresa V. for pleasant evening and for saving my glasses - really appreciated that!!! Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. Out of everything we ordered, the squid was probably the only thing that was somewhat enjoyable. We ordered three Tom Kha soups, and all were so salty that we had to send them back. The squid and calamari dish was okay only for the squid; the calamari was dry and over-fried. The curry sauce underneath was also confusing and completely covered the natural taste of the squid. The unagi wontons (2 orders) had a strange, rubbery texture, and the prawn ones were even harder to enjoy (left behind). To top it off, we were charged for a welcome drink?! Beautiful place and good service, but unfortunately, the food was far below expectations. For the price and reputation, this was a very disappointing experience, and I definitely won't be rushing back anytime soon.
