I was pleasantly surprised to see Marks and Spencer at Westfield Chodov, being British myself I am…read moreall too familiar with the Marks and Spencer brand back home. The store is fairly modern an attractive and very similar to a Marks and Spencer store back home, yet with marked-up pricing, some food items example would cost even more than three times as much here as they would in the UK, but admittedly their costs would be higher due to import fees especially with the United Kingdom exiting the European Union. They do have a taste of Britain in terms of food and clothing, which is a unique and certainly a nice addition to the mall. The staff members didn't seem too helpful, I used a Translate app to help communicate with the language barrier, and the clerk didn't seem too interested in reading what I had written to at least point me in the right direction. I had to find another staff member who was happy to point me in the right direction. While I totally understand the staff members not speaking English, I made my best efforts to communicate with them in written format and the first employee just didn't care. The biggest difference to this store, compared to one back home is the absence of the Food Hall, it is replaced by a tiny area in the store, with a small selection of items including novelty gifts, chocolate, premix alcohol cans and microwaveable rice! There was a small freezer with some items including sausages, but there was not a fridge section. The contents of the freezer included the same sausages which would be in the fridge section back home. A lot of huge pros, but some glaring cons, it can't replace visiting a Marks and Spencer back home but is a nice start and a cool addition to the mall. 3*

As far as supermarkets go...THIS IS THE SHINING JEWEL OF PRAGUE! This poster child of supermarkets…read moreis what others should strive to be. The only exception to this statement being the attendant servicing the "higher end" wine/spirits department. His actions alone will not allow me to issue a 5 star ranking. Discouraged by our initial interaction- I chose to prolonged my shopping in hope that he would attempt to rectify his earlier actions. I stumbled across a unique whiskey. It would have been a lovely conversation piece in my collection, but I refuse to make purchase as a result of his actions. It is odd. I feel sorry for the salesman! Why did he think it was appropriate when he was both humiliating me and losing a sale. FYI- 1 of the 4 bottles I purchased (in one transaction) last month= $3000US! Cheers!

I visited this cafe on my first full day in Prague after seeing this place on Instagram. It is…read morelocated in the city, but is not super close to Old Town (so you would need to take public transportation). This place is far from a tourist trap, I'm pretty sure my friend and I were the only tourists in the cafe (which is quite hard to come by in Prague) Warning: Menu is in Czech only! But they will do their best to translate. I tried their latte and flat white and both were really good and normal for your hipster/Instagram worthy cafe. For entrees we tried this dish that was like a carrot toast (similar to avocado toast, but the texture was more similar to duck pate). It was surprisingly very delicious and tasted healthy. The other dish was basically scrambled eggs with greens, but the eggs were seasoned really well in this black pepper. I know it doesn't sound super impressive, but it was really good. All our food and drinks was under $20 USD, which is a steal compared to going to a trendy brunch place in LA, SF, and NYC. Service was great. The server helped translate the menu for us since we don't know Czech. Food and drinks came out quickly. I definitely would recommend this place for people that want something away from the touristy cafes and restaurants in Prague.

What they're really big on is home made authentic everything so you don't have to be afraid to try their delicious cakes and meals. It is usually very busy though but for those looking for a place to work, they have a small cute room just for those purposes.
