American resource provided Express as a backup to the first provider. The initial call was rough, however Jesse the manager calmed me down and sent Armando/Otis despite the tight timeframe. I expected the same old clearing out with water jet, (had about 3 so far). Then I was taught what I should have been expecting from those initial 3 times. These guys were courteous to my property, and professional in servicing and verifying the clearing was done correctly & I would not need to call them back. The recoiling of the hose, was done to the point of minimal contact in basement. Showing me what may have been causing the blockage. So I can better prevent in future. Spectacular team! read more

On November 9, 2018, services were rendered by Express Plumbing Sewer & Water Main Corp to replace a faulty/worn wax gasket to remedy a leak around the base of the toilet. In 2019, Express Plumbing Sewer & Main water corp. came back out, at no cost, and replaced the leaky wax gasket once more. On Friday, November 20, 2020, the toilet began to leak again in the same place. On Wednesday, November 25, 2020, once again, services were rendered by Express Plumbing Sewer & Water main to replace a wax gasket to repair the same issue. Even though he denies it, when the plumber came to repair the leak on 11/20 he said that the wrong gasket was used. I was charged twice for work that was never correctly done in the first place. I emailed the company and personally spoke to Ed, the supervisor about this issue. He firmly stood by the work that was done. He expressed that they would be taking a loss if they were to offer me a credit. Don't use this plumber. read more

We have a brownstone on the Upper East Side. Have been there for 36 years. We saw water in the basement under the stoop above. We called NYC 311 and they immediately issued a 3-day letter requiring that our water main be replaced and all repaired in 3 days. The Insurance we had bought from AWR for just this event came into play. Thank God we had bought it. The insurance company sent Express Plumbing. From the moment they arrived (within an hour of the call) to the minute they finished within the 3 days, they were incredible! They were professional, efficient, polite, clean, and got this big job done within a day. We cannot recommend them highly enough!! read more

The company is completely unprofessional, untrustworthy, incapable and simply poor on all levels. I hired them to assess and then service my family's home and things went downhill from the time that I made my down payment. They did not properly assess the extent of needed repairs, and then tried to spring several "extra" repairs on us, mid way through the job, to get more money. They also promised a "team" of plumbers to complete my $4,000 job, but only sent 1 plumber and an apprentice each day. The plumber that did show up, was different from the guy who gave us the estimate and habitually showed up unprepared, without a work order and confused about what to do. The job was estimated to take 3 days, but they kept postponing their 2nd and 3rd appointment due to "staffing issues". To make matters worst, the on-site manager Eddie pops up one day and gets into a screaming match with my brother, over un-repaired items from our work order. In the end, both Eddie and the plumber left stating that they would "be back tomorrow" and they never returned. This was back in October 2017; it is now the end of January 2018 and the work is still undone. They left our pipes exposed, in an unheated house, in the middle of winter and have potentially caused more damage. I had a lengthy and respectful conversation with their general manager, Mary, back in October who promised to send someone out "in a few days" to check the work and do a walk through. She either lied, misled me or flat out could not manage this job, because an inspector did not show up for 4 months; and that was only because I stated that I would not be making a final payment until they sent an inspector and finished the job. The inspector did show up and acknowledge the sub-par communication, unprofessionalism and craziness of the whole thing, but I have yet to receive the report he promised me 2 weeks ago. I'm still waiting, and while I wait, so will their payment. I will NEVER patronize this company again and I suggest you all steer clear of them as well. read more

During these trying times, just what anyone needs is a sewage problem. These guys were sent from my sewage line insurance company. With having been exposed a month prior as a first responder, I was told that contractors had the right to deny me service. I got a call right away from these guys! I was refereed to Mike from Express Pluming by the insurance company. The service was great. After he got the paperwork filled with the city of Yonkers, they fixed the problem within less than a week. They had to dig my front yard, bricked entrance and road in multiple places to located the problem. They made sure they cleaned up and put everything back the way it was. They even covered the road with new blacktop. Great reliable and profesional service. read more

They are amazing. Responsive, professional, expert at their work, considerate of neighbors. They did the work quickly, we were not without water overnight, they stayed into the evening to get it done - and the job required opening up the street and replacing a water main! They arranged for a city inspector to come, supervised the inspection and received approval without any question. They cleaned everything up and left our basement spotless. When we had a very minor follow-up problem, they came within an hour and fixed it. They called, checked and verified that the minor problem was repaired to our satisfaction. We are in Queens. Had a leak that was part of water main, thus covered by the city insurance however, after calling the ins co, they told us to read the fine print and call 311 DEP. DEP said they would get back to us within 2 weeks. It was longer and we were anxious knowing there was a leak from outside and we could have a potential flood in the basement. Yesterday morning waiting in my car for alt side parking, one of Express Plumbing dump trucks pulled up across the street from me. When I saw Water Main on the door, I flew across the street and spoke to one of the crew of 5. He told me to call the owner of Express and gave me the name and number. I called and Mike handled all for me after I told him the story. He sent the crew lead over to listen to the water line (with a microphone) and communicated with him separately from me. He responded to my texts then called the ins co and spoke with the supervisor, confirming there was a leak on side of water main. Of course, it was an additional job and easier to finish it off after working across the street but Express was just great on every level. The crew was great. They work clean, and clean up, work to code-when they finish, you can't even believe there was a problem. They dug over 4' down taking turns digging even though they had heavy equipment, not possible to use it in our front yard. They worked in the rain, no complaints, were polite, never annoyed and extremely professional. Even the city inspectors who come out when an emergency permit is filed said that they knew this business and crew and when they saw them, knew there would be no problem, always great work. Again, they relieved our extreme anxiety over a potential huge problem and when I say clean-no one who saw the repair site afterwards can believe anything was done. This company was one that was referred by insurance company to repair our water and sewer lines. How fortunate that we selected them to perform the work. Everyone from the office staff to Mike and the technicians made this difficult and stressful project an easy and rewarding process.
