BUYER BEWARE!! SCAMMER! And will take the part you purchase and not return it. Pictures in profile are also a lie. The job was not finished and the pics were staged. Person was paid and never showed to finish job. It's been over a month for an unfinished job where they claimed multiple times "I'll be there tomorrow to finish" but never showed. They still have the part and won't return it due to not having a ride. It's not worth it. I reached out to Express Mobile Mechanics on Aug 12 2025 and was quoted a price of $225 - $475 to replace spark plugs on a 2023 Toyota Tundra. I requested today that only certified Toyota mechanics perform the spark plug replacement. My vehicle is a worth $55,000 and I don't want anyone who has not been certified to perform work on it, which is more that understandable. Owner Dewayne Taylor sent me a text message requesting I send him $75.00 a a deposit before the service date. I sent the deposit under the impression that my mechanic would be certified to work on Toyota vehicles. Dewayne sent me a message today Aug 13 2025 stating that I could not get my refund due to a 24 hour rule that is not posted anywhere on Yelp or was explained to me when I was requesting services. This is not how an legitimate business organization is conducted. I will pursued this issue further with the authorities and legal action if required. I've added three screen shots to this review so that everyone can see this business is a SCAM. They request a deposit without providing details of what the deposit is for, and when you request a qualified mechanic work on your expensive vehicle, they can't provide that service. Again, an honorable business would either provide there deposit rules before entering into an agreement. I will defiantly be filing fraudulent business practices against Express Mobile Mechanics so that no other consumers will have to endure this type of SCAM! Buyers beware, this dude is a bum. He asks for deposits, takes your money, doesn't show up and gives you the run around when you ask for a refund. His name is Dewayne Anthony Taylor and apparently his coconspirator is some chick name Nancy Valdez (apparently she's some realtor in the area). He had me send money to her for my deposit and when I requested my refund he made up every excuse in the book. Dude is also unprofessional - cruising and going on profanity laced tirades. I tried to give the dude the benefit of the doubt after seeing the negative reviews and ended up regretting it. So now I'm out $150 and he blocked my number, some upstanding citizen he is but claims to be an entrepreneur.... What a joke! This guy is a scammer. I messaged him about coming out to fix my breaks. He asked me to CASHAPP him the money for parts so I did right away. He said he didn't have any clients so I can choose anytime. All of a sudden he had clients after I sent the money. He said he would be there next day at 10am. Then hits me at 9:45am-ish and says he won't be there until 1pm. Which I was ok with. 1pm comes around and he said he won't be able to make it because he was stuck at another job. I ask him to refund my money. Then all of a sudden he can't. And he has to wait for his girl to give him the money. And he will send it in 10min which turned into hours. It's been 4 days and I'm JUST getting my refund. I literally had to BEG him to send me my refund. But he calls himself a business man. NOT AT ALL. He's a Scam!!! Please DO NOT do this. He didn't show up and he kept giving me some stupid excuse and then when I asked for my money back he said I'll be funding your money but it'll take a couple days cause I bought the parts with my credit card. terrible job does not know what he's doing, he took my money, he left me with my vehicle not able to start, I found out I did have any breaks which he was supposed to repair, he was also supposed to fix my axle which he lied & did not do, nor did he try to come back and remedy the situation, the idea that he left me in a dangerous life threatening situation, makes me want to make sure he doesn't do it to others. Dewayne was quick to response to my quote request. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, patient, and helpful during my chat with him. He asked very detailed question about the problem I was having with my vehicle repair. He was able to come by today instead of the next available day. He gave me a scheduled time of 2 PM and arrived at my home a few minutes before the scheduled time. I really appreciated the effort that he takes to be punctual and having the patience to answer any questions I had. After he finished the repairs, he cleaned up and put away all his tools. The repair was done quickly, and costed less than they would charge at a repair shop. Another plus was that I didn't have to drop off the vehicle and have to wait several hours or a few days to go back to pick it up. The repair was done on at the location and was started as soon as he arrived. He does his work well and honestly tries to helpful. I'll be contacting him for any future vehicle repairs. This has been a very positive experience and I would highly recommend Dewayne Taylor for mobile auto repairs. read more
