I have a really old car from 1990 that was giving me a ton of trouble for about a week. Using my key to unlock the door was easy. No problems there. However, starting up the car was impossible. Every single time I'd attempt to start the engine, the key would go into the ignition but it couldnt turn. It was completely stuck! I tried this for about a week because this has happened before and usually, I was able to make it work. This time though, my car wasn't going anywhere....and neither was I. Good thing it was on my driveway and not somewhere else. I contacted several businesses in my area because I didn't already have a "go-to" auto place for my car. One of the places I contacted recommended Javier and said he was reliable, affordable, and overall just does a great job. I decided to give Javier a call around 10am the next day. He picked up and I explained my situation. We arranged a time and he said he'd come straight to my house and fix my car. Then we hung up.... without either of us realizing that he doesn't know where I live. This threw me off a little because, it's one thing for me to forget. It's another thing for the guy who's trying to get your money to forget... I should've remembered too but, it just seemed a little unprofessional on his part. So I called him right back. He didn't pick up. I waited a little bit and then called him again. This time he picked up and requested that I send my address through a text. When the appointment time came around I decided to wait right on my driveway just so it'd be easier to find my location. Our appointment time was between 12pm and 1pm. He said it'd be closer to 1pm because he had appointments. He didn't get here until 1:30pm. I had to call him up to verify that he was actually coming. To be honest, I had my doubts. I wasnt sure what to expect especially after him being late and coming across to me as a little bit unprofessional over the phone. There was even a review that mentioned that he didnt show up for appointments! I was paranoid that perhaps he had forgotten and that he wouldnt be showing up. When I checked with him he explained that he was running late due to a prior appointment but that he'd be there in 20 minutes...And sure enough, he was there in 20 minutes. I am so happy to say that when he finally got here he was all business! This guy knows what he's doing. The second he got here, I could tell this guy is experienced. I watched him work on my car and honestly, it felt like he could do this in his sleep! He finished the job in under an hour which was great because we needed to be somewhere at 3pm. Basically, my keys were worn out, so he made two brand new ones for me. And he mentioned a tumbler thing that was also causing problems. Not sure what that is but I'm guessing it was something inside of the lock cylinder of my car? Either way, he fixed it and made sure my car could start easy peasy. Then he even made sure to give me a little pointer if I ever ran into my wheel locking on me. Overall, my experience with Javier was really good. Even though I had my doubts in the beginning, this guy showed me I shouldn't have worried. I know now I can trust this guy to get it done, and get it done well. I scheduled an appointment with Javier to make a additional key fob for my vehicle, we agreed on a 2 hour window, arrived on time, he didn't have my exact remote and asked if he could come back tomorrow same 2 hour window, no problem. I called him close the end of the 2 hour window as I had a dr appt to get to and he said, sorry, we are busy, and gave me another 2 hour window same day in the afternoon, I said ok. No show to that appointment. I had to reach out the following week to ask If he was still interested in my business as I still needed another key fob, his prices are much more reasonable than the dealership. He apologized and sent Jose that afternoon and my key was made in 30 minutes. Come to find out when the person stole the car the pulled apart some of the wires. I was at a loss on what to do. Called Javier and he has not yet replaced the key .It has now been 2 months It says on the invoice one year warranty but good luck getting a hold of him.
