Being a woman from Kentucky after having to transfer here for my job, I don't know if they thought they could pull one over on me or if they lie to and cheat every customer! I knew something was wrong when they started whispering and going over all the filters on the wall. Then they called someone. They finished my oil change .... if they ever really changed it in the first place ... shut my hood and opened the bay door. One motioned me out, the other jumped in and told me to stop. After they discussed something they came to my window and said "Could you drop back by sometime Monday? We always like to check new cars a couple days after we change their oil. " I'm not a complete idiot. I KNEW that they either did something wrong or they were planning on doing God knows what to me on Monday. I immediately went to another oil change business. Lube express DIDN'T CHANGE MY OIL FILTER, or REPLACE MY AIR FILTER. All of which they charged me for! So I'm guessing that they didn't have what my car needed, decided to charge me anyway, then were going to slip it in when i came back on Monday .... if i came back. About 30 minutes later more workers came in and one of them walked up to me and asked for my key. There was no discussion of what type of oil change (ex. synthetic, etc) or pricing. Approximately 10 minutes later he asked for all my info (name, address, phone#, email) and gave a price-indicating they were finished with the oil change. I asked if the Yelp check-in coupon could be used, but he stated they already changed the oil with all synthetic and the coupon was for half-and-half. I didn't feel he was being rude in any way, I just wish there was more dialog and that I had a choice. Overall, it was a decent straight-no chaser experience.

I hit one of Toledos famous pot holes and put a bubble in my tire so I called around looking for a replacement. You would think I was searching for a unicorn. I never received a call back. To be fair two other companies also didn't call me back. I am a pleasant person just trying to find an inexpensive tire. Customer service is a thing of the past I guess. I called them twice I wasn't about to call a third time. The customer service is good, but I can't go somewhere that isn't an honest practice. I've recommended other people here and they've been ripped off thousands of dollars. I want to say good things about this family business, but I can't. I went somewhere else and was charged a third of the price. If you want to spend this crazy amount of money, might as well go to a dealership. This is my first bad review. I've tried giving this business 3, 4, 5 chances. I can't keep getting ripped off. Update: Was told I needed a part replaced at Toledo Auto Care. When I took my car somewhere else, they said that part was in perfect shape and they were shocked that we were told it needed to be replaced.

Since I'm not from the Bowling Green area, I had no experience with any of the car servicing businesses. I first called the Volvo dealership in Perrysburg, a twenty to thirty minute drive from my location. My first two calls for the service department were sent to an answering machine. I called back a third time and asked the receptionist for a live person, and she assured me that if I left a message, my call would be returned right away. I didn't wait for the call (it finally came almost three hours later). I called a service company in Bowling Green, and they directed me to Lyric Auto as the best place to work on foreign cars. I called and got someone on the phone (not a machine)! I explained my dilemma, and I was told to bring the car in right away, that they would "squeeze" it into the schedule. Fortunately the drive was only 5 minutes away, as I don't think the car would have gone much further. Rick and his son Eric were in the shop and Rick took the car into the garage right away. He quickly diagnosed the problem ( a misfire due to a broken spark plug which had then caused another part to fail) and ordered a replacement part. It took a while for the part to arrive, but after that, the repair went quickly. My 10 hour return drive back home the next day was uneventful, thanks to the excellent work by the Lyric Auto team.
