Today, I paid my insurance for my three vehicles and I was late on the payment due to our bank accounts with Chase Bank that I had to lock all the cards to get ahold of so many charges. Express Lane Insurance charged me a $6.00 fee for the late payment. Even though $6.00 is pocket change it absolutely makes no sense for this agency to charge a late fee when, for some people it becomes even a bigger burden to pay more for these unforeseen events in our lives. This is totally counterproductive and instead of making it easier to pay, it makes it even more difficult to catch up on these obligations that are sometimes out of reach. We should get rewarded for paying on time and additionally get a discount for making a ACH payment every month. I asked the desk lady at the agency if she can waive the fee. However, she said she couldn't because of whatever reason.. they can charge you, but they can't take off fees, completely makes no sense. I am reconsidering changing insurance agency. When I double checked all documents and noticed the second car I tried calling Express Lane with no phone call back. I ended up calling National myself to get them to take it off my insurance. When I finally got a hold of Gaby at Express Lane she went on to say they tried fixing it the same day I bought the policy. THEY DID NOT FIX IT or tell me about the error. I called National about 3 weeks later and they had no record of the fix Gaby said they did . Express Lane is dodgy at best. read more

My experience of this company is that they are dishonest and unethical. Slay (one of the owners) gave me a low quote to get me to sign and agree and pay their $100 commission! However, when I received the confirmation paperwork from the auto insurance company a few days later, the monthly premium was much higher. A difference of $75! They refused to admit any wrongdoing or apologise. In fact, I have never in my life been treated so rudely than by Gaby (the other owner of the company). She was aggressive, condescending and incredibly impatient. This company clearly does not record their calls for business standard. If they did, Gaby would be fired. She never ever returned my calls and during our final conversation, she shouted at me three times that she "wanted to close this out." In essence, both owners (Slay and Gaby) sold me something that did not exist. No apology and/or acknowledgement of fault was given. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

I was upset that they renewed my insurance without my permission after a year and took money out of my account without consent so i called to cancel my plan. When I was transferred to the so called "supervisor" she was anything but professional and tried to talk to me like I was stupid. The second they get a whiff that you're trying to cancel, their whole demeanor changes. ****UPDATE***.... never mind on everything I said, the company they quoted me with "dropped" me and now they want me to pay more than double what they quoted me previously, the customer service was still cool, however they couldn't maintain what they quoted me at so I'm back struggling looking for insurance again, lucky me ****** . Being a young driver with an accident on my record as well, everybody was giving me high rates, almost three times what I'm paying for a car note, so I was beginning to think that was the best it would get, then I just so happened to stumble across Express Lane insurance on a google search. The person I talked to was slay, I would highly recommend anybody else to ask for him as well when trying to get a quote, but he really helped me out and we found a way to get my payments really low compared to what I was receiving from every other insurance company. I'm not going to lie though, the initial first payment to get everything started was really high, but he still worked with me and got it lower, and now I'm paying less than my car note for car insurance, the way I feel it should be. I call express and speak to Someone and I was on hold the whole 30 min and every time asked a question they would put me on hold to check my account for minutes when it should already be in there face. No idea who they are , apparently they say I signed papers saying all these people are on my policy when I have my policy at hand prooving only I.should be in there , I ask for a refund and spoke to Gabby the supposed supervisor (which btw was SOOO rude and gave the worst attitude stating that she does not have to help me when it's her job to help me ! So, let me tell you how horrible they are as a company. I specifically asked for $500 deductibles Comp & coll. And asked for my lien holders to be put on. They gave me a quote, fine. Turns out they quoted me for something I didn't ask for. Took my money. When the binder was sent to me it was all wrong. The lien holder didn't even have the right lien holder or their address. The deductibles were $1000 which are cheaper but NOT what my lien holder REQUIRES which I specified!!! And asked them to please change it to $500 deductibles and the wanted double what I paid PLUS couldn't send me a binder for 24 hours. Probably because they're lazy. And so I was of course irritated at this point because truly if you pay attention to the customer and what they ask for, it wouldn't be so hard to do your job. THENNNNN after 24 hours I get a binder and it has "2500" as deductibles. THAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!! I said "500". So of course they say "I'm sorry but you said 2500" like maam if that were the case why would it double in price wouldn't higher deductibles be cheaper DUH!! Make sense and know how to do your job. And hey owners, maybe do a training course for your employees or make sure they qualify to work there. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has gone through this. And ohhhhhhh! THEY DIDNT EVEN ADD THE LIEN HOLDERS AFTER 3 TIMES OF ME ASKING!! And for those out there who don't know, my car can get repoed for not having the required insurance that my lien holder asks for. I signed paperwork that is an agreement of having $500 deductibles which I am fine with. But when insurance companies and small insurance companies like this one try to do loop holes and do $1000 deductibles so they can get their commission and THEN lie and change it to something you didn't ask for, it's quite annoying, frustrating, and TIME CONSUMING. Please get different employees at this location, nice people who LISTEN and DO THEIR job. Because when one can't do the job they hand you off to the next person and next person. And no one gets it right. And the employees tell you it takes an hour to get things done and it actually took 3 hours to do the wrong thing. Plus just to get an insurance card it took forever.
