By 10:30 am, I still had not received a call, so I decided to call again. This time, I was informed that no appointment was necessary and we could just come in. When we arrived at the store, we were not acknowledged by any employees. My son and his girlfriend started looking around and found a jacket, and then we began browsing shirts and ties. Despite being in the store for approximately 15 minutes, not one employee offered to assist us. My son eventually suggested we leave and go somewhere else, which we did. Despite my hesitations due to their online reviews, we decided to go to Men's Warehouse. To my surprise, they were fantastic! We ended up purchasing a tux, shirt, tie, and shoes there. This experience has convinced me not to return to Berk's, even though I have bought numerous suits for my husband from your store in the past. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve customer service in the future.

I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service and the company policy that apparently allows a customer to go without a working stove for so long. Seniors are on a fixed income and I do not have disposable income to waste money on a non working stove. I also do not have the money to go out and buy another new stove after just six months. It is a small shop catering to working women of all sizes. The mannequins are beautifully dressed and accessorized. Since its founding in 2001, it has donated millions of dollars of clothing to tens of thousands of women. I recently shopped at Treasure House Fashions. When I entered the store, a friendly volunteer greeted me, explained how the store was organized, and offered assistance. The racks and shelves were fully stocked--in fact, so stocked that the store was no longer accepting donations. The clothes were very well organized by size and type (e.g., pants, shirts, and dresses), and some were from well-known brands. I did not, however, see price tags on most clothes, so I would like to set more of those. Most styles were not my preferred style, but I did find a couple of clothes that I liked.

My teenage son recently visited the store on his own, excited to ask questions and learn more about motorcycles. Instead of being welcomed or supported, he was laughed at by the staff and told to "do his homework." This kind of dismissive, condescending behavior toward a young person is unacceptable. He left feeling embarrassed and discouraged, which is the opposite of how any potential rider or customer should feel walking into your business. What made the situation worse was how my concern was handled when I called to follow up. Rather than showing any understanding or accountability, the staff brushed it off, claiming my son had "taken it out of context." It felt like his age and inexperience were used as an excuse to ignore the issue entirely. The staff chose to deflect blame onto a teenager--further minimizing a valid concern. It's incredibly disappointing to see such a stark difference in treatment simply because he came in alone. Whether it was because of his age or something else, the message was clear: he wasn't taken seriously. That kind of attitude doesn't just hurt your reputation--it alienates the next generation of riders. We'll be taking our business elsewhere from now on, and I would caution other families to think twice before supporting a place that doesn't treat all customers--regardless of age--with basic respect. The business is faith-based, and it donates 10% of net proceeds of sales on Mondays to nonprofits, and its associates get paid volunteer time each month. This particular Altar'd State store is in South Hills Village mall. I occasionally shop here for clothing. During my most recent visit, when I entered the store, an employee greeted me and told me about sales. I did not see sale signs on the racks of clothing, so I recommend that they add those. The quality of the clothing looked good, although I personally do not think that this faith-based store should sell revealing clothing such as tube tops and cropped tops. During the fall season, though, the clothing tends to cover the body more to be warmer. The prices were moderately high, for example, a made-in-China dress for $74. I did see jewelry such as necklaces with Christian crosses.
