It's been a long while since I wrote on this platform but I wanted to stop and take the time to leave a review. I was looking up places nearby where I could take a typing test since the state job positions asked for a typing certification. I found Express Employment Professionals located near the VTA light rail station and read the other positive reviews left by other job seekers. I made my appointment over the phone and I later received a text confirmation for my exam appointment and a map leading to the location. Great service from Bill and Linda and both helped me get set up for my exam. They were nothing but kind and helpful! They were also supportive and great to speak with. I had to take a certified typing test and Everyone was so kind... from my initial call, to when I walked in, all the way until I walked out.

I made an appointment to take a typing test here. I got my results at the end. Pretty straight forward and simple. The staff was very attentive, professional, and welcoming. Pricing/payment was fair. Traffic gets a bit congested during peak hours at their location due to the intersection being next to the 101 freeway, but nothing too bad. I'll be back next time if I need another one. Very thorough & professional staff. I received a call to schedule a phone interview later for the same day with the recruiter, Sam. We spoke briefly about an opportunity that was very intriguing to me. She arranged for me to have a zoom interview with a regional manager in another state the same day, came on to the zoom call with us, had to come off but connected her colleague to join us for the remainder of the call. Was offered the job pretty much on the spot I signed off they stayed on and then she called me back to start the onboarding. The next morning I went in filled out my I-9 documents and completed the background check and drug screening at the same time, received confirmation of everything going through all in the same day was able to give my notice at my job that day! I have worked for Express Pros for 2 years, and my experience with the San Jose location located on Technology drive has been awesome. Bill & Linda are very supportive, and are great motivators to their work employees; especially me. There were times I missed a few days of work due to illness, and Linda hand delivered cookies and a get well note. How great is it that your employer not only care about making sure you have ample hours to work; but also care about your personal well being? I've been with Express for a few months now and had a very good experience so far, getting placed in an established, well-respected company with culture fit I was looking for. Before coming here I was applying to dozens of places a week and getting nothing, but they placed me within about 2 weeks. Their team has just been so kind and professional, it's honestly a relief compared to some of the recruiters I've worked with in the past. I especially appreciate how prompt they've been with their communication, using phone, text, email, or same-day in person meetings for whatever questions or concerns I've had. I did not enjoy working with this staffing agency. I felt that they were trying to match me with jobs that they had available simply for the sake of trying to fill that position as opposed to something I actually wanted to do; they did work with me on trying to understand where I wanted to be placed, but did not work well with me in terms of positions they had available. My main issue with this employment agency is that whenever I spoke with Linda, she offered me terrible advice (which I unfortunately took and it almost ended up costing me a job offer), and she was extremely blunt and dismissive to many of my requests/suggestions. I really disliked her condescending tone, and would not recommend that people use their services. They were nice people, but I felt that they should stop trying to hard-sell me positions I am not interested in. read more

If you're thinking of going through a staffing agency that gives equal opportunities to everyone that comes in, that is registered with the Better Business Bureau, that stands 100% behind actually helping whomever comes in obtain the best job for them... THEN DON'T THINK ABOUT COMING HERE. Linda is completely rude, has a power trip, very inconsiderate and extremely difficult to deal with. If you go in there because a job is having you go through their agency be sure not to tell her that because after she has a meeting with you she will twist all the information you gave around and falsify information to the employer. When I say falsify, I mean literally making things up that were never discussed. Then, she will state that she knows the owners and knows you won't be excepted even after they had referred you to go through their company initially. All in all, this company is bogus and I'm not surprised that they haven't registered with the BBB because they would have already been shut down. Also, don't think about going to any one in regards to your complaints. They are a franchise company meaning the husband Bill and the wife LINDA are the owners. As a person that has been working in fabs and clean rooms for the past 14 years, lay offs or contracts for a certain duration of months kind of become the "norm" for this line of work. But, for every one place that lays off, there's 10 more places ready to hire. As a part of the transition into a new company, having to go through employment agencies is usually standard. Now I've been to many, MANY, employment agencies over the years. Whether It was just to come in and submit a resume, interview, or get hired directly by a company but have to go through the probationary period with a employment agency is standard. In other words, lack luster. All most all places tend have you feeling like your apart of some assembly line that just brings you in and moves you out like a product, it's all just part of the process and it's just business to get you in and out, at least that's how it's felt like in the past. So much so that it's never made me want to go and write a review about the agencies I've been too. Not with Express Pros though. I was interviewed for a company that wanted to hire me right away but I had to go through Express Pros for the typical paper work, drug screening, and background check as usual. I met at the office of Express Pros the following day and I was greeted by Yolanda Sanchez. I got a sense right away that i was not just some random person they were trying to just get into a company as she was really nice, had all paper work ready to sign, very informative but in a quick and professional manner (not unnecessarily long and droning like 99% of the other employment agencies). She also informed me to fill out the form online the day before so it can speed up the process in office (this is extremely helpful as most other agencies will have you fill out a physical, paper form or in some instances on a computer in their offices which is something I can just do at home the day before!). The paper work was a fast and smooth process like I've never experienced before, it was awesome. Now, every agency I've been to required a drug screening. No problem, it's just kind of annoying that I have to book a separate appointment at a place that administers drug screening and this can usually take about week to take said test and get results. Not at Express Pros. They gave me the drug screening in office. I was shocked (in a good way) to hear this as I've never went to a agency that did so in office. And you get the results same day. Wow! I was blown away by this information and rather impressed. And since I am drug free, I was also very excited to not have to go to a separate place and to just get the drug screening over with ASAP. After all was said and done, I finished everything within about a hour. I also spoke to Linda and Bill Neufield, they are the husband and wife team that run Express Pros. Two of the nicest people I've ever spoken to at a employment agency. We spoke about other topics unrelated to employment, it was rather pleasant. It felt like a family like environment in the office, something you never experience at other employment agencies. Yolanda, Linda, and Bill really left me with a great and heartwarming experience throughout my visit at Express pro. But wait, I still had the background check to clear. No problem, I am also a law abiding citizen so I was not worried but in the past, I've had to wait up to a week or even 3 weeks before I got my background check cleared. They informed me it'd take only about two days. I'm not gonna lie, I thought it'd take longer. But, something I never thought would happen, happened. My background check cleared the same day, WOW!!! Now keep in mind, Yolanda told me this by far the fastest background check that's cleared at their offices but, I truly believe that they can get anyone else's background check info in two days. This was a amazing experience, so much so that I had to write a review about the outstanding service, professional, and hospitality that I came across at Express Pros. The reviews that were saying negative things had to be bogus or the people that wrote those bad reviews just seem like people that are just natural born jerks as it seems impossible to get any type of bad vibe or service from The professionals at Express Pros. If anyone that I know is looking for a job, I will quickly refer them to Express Pros and I strongly suggest that if you are reading this and looking for a job to do the same! read more

I met with an Account Executive and did not hear back from the Agency with leads I had been referred to. I was able to get an appointment the next day, super convenient if you have ever tried to get a last minute appointment because most places were booked out a week in advance. Linda was amazing and very supportive as I had struggling to reach the goal of wpm I needed. She was super encouraging and coached me through it. Worked for this company for only a few weeks before getting injured on the job. Bill, (red faced office manager), and his obnoxious, inconsiderate wife that run the place lied to Workers Comp and said I refused modified work that they falsely claimed they offered me after I got hurt. They did this to avoid having Workers Comp pay me money I was owed while being off work due to injury. After searching for workers comp attorneys online, I found a great one that proceeded to file a lawsuit against these clowns and won my case for me. Their morals are in the dirt. Easy, convenient, and quick! Within two weeks of needing a job for the summer I had one, from application, to appointment interview, to assessment, to hiring intro, to starting at my work! The staff was courteous, prompt, and got the ball rolling very quickly. Also, anytime I had questions, there was always someone to answer the phone or an e-mail. I love the fact that I get paid weekly, and it was always on time by mail (I did not get direct deposit). However I also have the skills of someone who SHOULD be doing temp work (if I may say so myself). I feel like some people may be applying because of the need for work, but aren't very familiar with PC (the unfortunate standard for companies). I scored fairly well on the computerized assessment of Word/Excel/typing/databasing so my placement was easy. I signed up with express employment back in 2010. I had perfect scores for their MS Office tests and had excellent references. I would call every week and was always told nothing was available. I got a longer term temp position through another agency and so I stopped calling. When I got off that assignment I called back and discovered that the resume they had on file for me was the one I had given them when I first signed up with them even though I had been sending them updated ones for the last 3 years. My last position gave me a great letter of recommendation which I gave them a copy of, but come to find out it never made it into my record and I doubt they even read it. I'm sure it just ended up in the trash. read more
