I applied to a manufacturing position on Aerotek's website in September and, within a day, was contacted by Sumanta M. After a short pre-screen, he relayed me to local recruiter Michael E. I've been working with him ever since. His earnestness and flexibility is refreshing. I've worked with staffing agencies in the past--my overall experience has largely been that quota pressure causes some rather unkind behaviors. It's been nice to feel like a person dealing with another person and not a live bot. Michael found me a position that not only fits my current lifestyle, but comes with a GREAT team full of smart, warm, and funny individuals. For my first job in a new industry, I really lucked out. My only concern about working with Aerotek is their communication with both contractors and corporate clients. I encountered misunderstandings during my first few months at my host site that included things like duties, shift choice, and how I'd submit my hours. I think most contractors would prefer these things to be crystal clear at onboarding. Perhaps the communication is another casualty of pandemic disruption? When I had a more urgent issue last month, the Aerotek team was timely in addressing it. All in all, I'm really happy at my host site and enjoying what I do. read more

Want to look for a job that pays well, gives you good benefits, and works in a place where your work is valued and meaningful? The best way is to stay away from these snakes. The recruiters will set you up for failure by referring you to a job that the other companies want, and then by the time you get fired (regardless of whether it's justified or not), they will communicate it in a way with ZERO remorse as if the lives of those that got fired/laid off are disposable. The employers that Aerotek are contracted/associated with seem more interested in personal gain rather than caring about their employees. I say to hell with Aerotek. They also call you at least once a month to see if you're interested in a job that they believe you would be interested in. . P.S. After I applied for a position online a recuiter called me saying she got my reaume and wanted to get more info. Then she invited me to drive to San Jose from my place which is well over 150 miles. So I asked her if someone in my city can help me then she said "Yes of course let me get in touch with them and I will call you right back" its been over 3 days now and no call or email. I been trying to call her but no answers. By now the position that I applied for is most likely gone. I have recruited people in the past and this is very unprofessional behavior. I add my first experience with Aerotek working with Moniqua and the team 10 months ago. After working 27 years at one company I was not sure what to expect. Well my experience has been amazing. They placed me in a job within 3 weeks of my interview. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Phone calls are always returned promptly. They have offered to take me to lunch for which I declined. They met me on my first day with Starbucks coffee to make sure I felt comfortable. I recently referred a friend to Aerotek that was looking for work and it turned out he took an interest in Aerotek himself is now a full time employee as a recruiter. Go Pedro! The only downside which is true of most temp agencies is you don't get paid vacations or holidays. Otherwise I highly recommend Aerotek. read more

They found my resume online and invited me to visit then in San Jose which was a 80 mile round trip. The person I was to meet missed our appointment with no notice and I should have been told so we can reschedule. When I arrived I was met with another employee who did not specialized in my are of expertise. After the interview which I felt was very good interview with great feed back and felt very good that they would be able to assist in finding new employment. So I expected them to follow with at least a phone can or Email. Well after emailing them without no response I can not recommend them and give them one star. read more

I wanted to specifically highlight my recruiter Michael who I owe my current employment to! It took him around 2 months, but he was able to find me a gig that fit my exact expectations. I never thought I'd be writing a review about a business like this, especially this one in particular, since they used to be a dependable and professional employment agency. Aerotek, back in 2007, helped me get my first position as a QC Chemist at Watson Laboratories in New York. For the past six years, I have been a contractor in this industry, working short-term and longer term positions. I have gained a great deal of experience and skills working for many different companies in this capacity. During this time, I have received a great number of calls from agencies like this one. Anyone who is either actively or passively looking for a job knows it's a numbers game. The more positions you apply to, the greater chance of success in landing a job. Recently, I received a phone call from Aerotek in San Jose regarding a position as a Medical Grant Writer at Stamford. For this process, I had to have a FaceTime interview with the recruiter, complete a sample writing assignment, modify my CV to better fit the job description, and of course, have an interview with the hiring manager at Stamford, also through FaceTime. I ultimately did not get the position because I did not have enough experience in the medical field. This was fine, and perfectly understandable. Next, I got a call from another recruiter for another position. More phone calls during my work hours, more questions, and more modifications of my CV ensued. Also, I had to answer a questionnaire of sorts, as to why my experience was suited for this position, and where I obtained this experience. This was a time-consuming task. Days went by. Finally I shot an email to the second recruiter; a quick question as to the status of my application. No response. The next day, I tried a phone call and left a message. Still no response. Nearly a week went by and I haven't heard anything back. I finally called the first recruiter. She told me that he's been in and out, and some excuse about how he's still discussing my profile with his manager and the company. Okay, but how does that excuse the dearth of contact? After jumping through all the hoops, I believed I was due some sort of feedback. Nothing. After another day, I emailed the recruiter to say as much. Still no response. I CC'd the first recruiter, his colleague, the email I wrote to him to reiterate my concern that after a week of doing everything asked of me to apply for these positions, that no one has had the courtesy to respond to any of my emails or phone calls. It's not as if I was hounding them with multiple emails a day. I waited, sent short one or two sentence requests for status updates, and no one has had the professional courtesy to respond. I have very good experience, and great references. I, and anyone who takes the time to do what I have done to accommodate their application process deserves better. I suggest working with another agency if you're looking for professionalism and recruiters who will take a genuine interest in your success. read more

Sure you'll get a call back or even an interview over the phone and then they'll tell you they'll be in touch but even if you let a week or so go by and reach out to them they never reply or have the courtesy to tell you that there's nothing available that you're searching for. When I first applied for a position for Aerotek, I was under the impression that it was a position for their company. Low and behold it turned out to be a position for a staffing agency. Now I've worked for a staffing agency before but the recruiters here were on another caliber. Michael Enriquez was the first person to email me about a position that I was interested in. As a recruiter, he remained in contact with me throughout my job search, consistently calling me and keeping me updated. He's very professional and positive. Even prior to my first interview, Michael and another recruiter, Carlos, took the time to speak with me over the phone to prepare for it. The following day, Michael wasn't present for my interview but went out of his way to have another recruiter, Chad, present before my interview to walk me in. Their team is very attentive and I was impressed with how all of Areotek recruiters were so engaging with their clients. My experience with them was amazing. read more

Aerotek is a rather big recruiting agency with multiple locations in the USA. This is the only location in the South Bay of San Francisco. Over the years I have been contacted by several recruiters. I have been asked to send my resumes and I have been approached with opportunities on some occasions. One time I have been invited to meet a recruiter and after that I never heard back from him. Another time I have been invited to meet another recruiter but the job he contacted me for magically vanished. The company has a nice office and people seem professional. However, over the years they contacted me over and over but they never delivered any useful opportunity that lead even to a simple phone call from a company. From my perspective, they either don't try hard enough to market people to companies or they have too many resumes to shuffle through. I suspect they create tiers of candidates and they present the ones they think have a better chance to succeed in an interview. Also, they always ask about compensation so, if you know something about job hunting, never tell them (past, present or desired). Unless your background is exactly what a company wants, chances are you are wasting your time. I do not recommend. read more

Most unprofessional work agency in all of Bay Area! I came in talked to Michael an Aerotek recruiter and he offered me 4 jobs that met my criteria. 1 out of the 4 jobs wanted to interview me (Olympus), so I went on to go to my interview at 10am. I arrived 15 min early, so I waited and the guy interviewing me at Olympus (Michael Duong) never showed up knowing I was in the lobby waiting to get interviewed. 2 days later Michael calls me back up apologizes sets me up with an interview again at the same shi**y company. I arrive at the main lobby again and I wait for my interview. Michael from Aerotek shows up out of nowhere and tells me Michael Duong from Olympus doesn't think I'm the right Fu**ing fit for the position(I have 2 years of medical device experience) ?? Seriously. Here I am desperate to find a job to get my bills paid.. I gave Aerotek one more shot, Michael had another job that I might be a good fit for (RICOH). Now I'm with a different recruiter (Benjamin Lal). So everything seems to be going smooth I got Interviewed quickly got hired passed my drug test and background and now I was just waiting to get a start date. It's been 2 weeks since Iv'e been waiting for Benjamin Lal to give me a start date and haven't heard a single word from him. This is so unfair in so many different levels. In the beginning, I thought they were a good company to work with. They appeared to be professional and personally responsive but as I continued to work for them there were a few things that bothered me. 1. After each assignment you had to reapply which interrupted your medical coverage which ends on the last assignment day and is expensive. 2. They do not allow people who are in a relationship to work at the same location. 3. I know of a case where a person was offered a pay rate, signed a contract to that effect, and was later paid a dollar less saying that it was a typo. Is that legal? The first phone screening was pretty easy, standard behavioral questions and asking about past experience. Then about a week later, I had the panel interview which consisted of the director of the location along with two other senior recruiters. At first, the interview was going well. They asked about my experience, qualifications and background, etc. Then the director, named Ben, began interrogating me about my future plans and asked personal questions that were extremely inappropriate for an entry level job; such as "do you plan on having a family?" or "what are your plans on buying a house?". He then accused me of not researching the company (which I did thoroughly) and said I don't have a chance working with them in their office. The other two idiots also asked me personal questions about my future endeavors and continued to verbally attack me at a personal level. I was supposed to have a half-day shadow the next day but I did not show up because I had such an awful interview experience. As for the company, these recruiters are honestly only concerned with making money (one of their confessions to me). They don't really care about people looking for jobs. If you are not the right candidate, then you won't fit in with the company culture or they will not be willing to help you find a job. As for the San Jose office, do not waste your time there with any of those sleazy recruiters. I feel bad for anyone who has had to deal with the horrible director Ben and anyone who has had similar interview experiences. The people in this company may wear business suits, but they truly a bunch of jerks in disguise. read more

After you submit your resume for a position, they call you. Ask you questions and after tell you about possible jobs I might be interested in. Instead of the one you actually applied for. When you ask about the one you initially applied to, they don't have the info in front of them and they say they will call you back. But you get no call back.
