They do not contact immediately, I've been looking for jobs for more then 3 months, they have not been in touch with me in my worst time of needing a job. I am very very disappointed in this community and that this is unacceptable, a big problem to those who are struggling to find work in desperate times, this community needs to step up and help others ASAP read more

My bf recently got a great job through this company in only 2 weeks. He has been looking for many months on his own with almost no interest. He actually applied at the job he ended up getting placed with but was ignored. The temp agency got him in the door and he was hired officially by the company as soon as his temp contract was up. It was my idea to try a temp agency but I was leery of this branch due to the reviews but it turned out well. You do need a copy of your social security card here which other branches don't require but this branch was much more responsive then others. read more

The recruiter I met with was aloof and didn't have much in terms of job options. Most clients who came in were dressed very casually (jeans and Metallica t-shirts casual), so that should show you the caliber of jobs they recruit for and the types of people they hire. They told me of a job paying $9 doing data entry or a call center position around $13, but I felt they weren't good matches for me. read more

Here's the deal - If your expertise is in industrial AKA Warehouse work, construction like tearing roofs down from the inside, or working in plants they're your go to agency. But the most they'll get you for pay is about 10.00 an hour. If you work an event at a convention center, the pay can go up to 11.00. But if you're looking for more office work or even call center, don't bother with this location. The location on Shoal Creek may be able to get those type of jobs for you. And they are more professional. I had a co-worker who was also working for Express. This guy had a college diploma and no criminal background. And all they could get him is a job working in a plant paying 8.00 an hour. Luckily I informed him of other agencies that can get him better jobs. All they care about is filling a quota for their clients. That's not to be disparaging. It's just if you're looking for non industrial work that is permanent, don't waste your time with them. They only get non-industrial assignments once in a great while. Join them at your own caution if you're truly desperate for work, or just have a criminal background and can't get hired anywhere else. read more

This office is owned by the same person that owns the location at 7940 Shoal Creek in Austin. In May, I was called about a position that was on their website for customer service for TxTag. I had a 3:00 pm appointment and arrived at 2:50. There was a couple in their early 30's filing out paperwork who were walk-ins. While I was waiting, a man in his 50's came out and escorted the couple to his cubicle where he interviewed the couple, did a urine test and offered them jobs at TxTag while I continued to wait. At this point, it is 3:40 pm. I asked the receptionist if I had been forgotten and she assured me I had not. The couple left and the same man that interviewed them came and got me. He started the interview with so small talk and nervious laughter and I figured he was embarrassed about the length of time I had waited. No, that was not the case. I think he was trying to figure out how to tell me that I had come all the way from Round Rock for an interview that was made almost 2 days prior for a specific job, and now that position was no longer available. Well, how can that be, sir, when I just heard you interview that couple that was a walk in, and you offered not one, but two positions for TxTag. He continued to repeat that there were no positions available and he absolutely disregarded what I said to him about the fact that he had given two positions away to people who had no appointment while he kept me waiting. Now, this has bothered me for months. When you are over 50, you begin to wonder if that is the reason that you lost out on the job. On the way home, I began to wonder if it was not only my age but maybe it was my race. Ageism from a guy who was older than me? I could not fathom why, IF it was as I was being told, that there were no jobs with TxTag available, why wasn't I called and asked if I still wanted to be interviewed. This "man" allowed the interview to be concluded without offering me ANY position. As I said, this has bothered me for months so after checking with EEOC about where I stand with a suit since Express Personnel is a temporary agency, I realize that I am within my right to file a discrimination suit. I consulted an attorney last week and will be filing suit before the 300 day statue runs out. Rather than me trying to figure out what he was thinking, I will let him speak, on the record, for himself. read more

I was called out of the blue by Barbara from this office 512-416-6666 on 7-21-2011, asking me if I was still looking for a job. I told her I had some things in the works. She asked me if I had the 10 hour OSHA safety certification card, and I said no. She pushed the issue and asked if she could get the employer to hold a 10 hur class would I be interested? I said yes, and we discussed hourly wage. This was at 4:57 p.m so I guess she was in a hurry to leave the office at 5. She stated she got my resume off HotJobs, which is an old resume, the website is now known as Monster.com, I did not transfer my info to them. I looked up the job site info for Riverside and Hwy71, and it is for laborers, picking up trash, demo work, power wasing, etc. I have been in the workforce for over 40 years, and am probably qualified to be superintendent for the whole jobsite. Seems as though Barbara is being lazy and just grabbing something out of a file and calling to throw someone at the employer, without checking qualificatins. I emailed the office today, and have been getting emails from her. Barbara's first reply, "You read the wrong job order! I replied, "You were in rather a bit of a hurry, it was 4:57 p.m.and didn't offer info, and you haven't here either, other than an exclamation. " To which she replied, "What would you like for me to explain? I asked you if you had OSHA you said no. You didn't have the qualification. " Is this the kind of person you want looking for a job for you? I think Express Personnel Corporate office needs to send her to anger management, or give her drugs, she seems stressed. This was an unsoliticed phone call, which went down hill at a fast pace, and has left me never wanting to work with these people. read more
