I try to nab my favorite BOGOs on the items that I can't get anywhere else, and most recently I got the spices I needed- in glass containers- with a BOGO spice deal. Win! I also like to look at their greenwise meat and seafood options. I've recently been grabbing their cuban rolls, which are like a shorter sub roll, that my kids really love. However, my last few experiences at this Publix Manalapan have not been very pleasant. The cashiers and bag people literally don't say a word to you, but keep on talking to each other. They obviously don't care about Good Customer Relations because I literally stood for 20 minutes today as my groceries were scanned and packed and the cashier did not even look at me one time. They used to ask if we had found everything. They used to say good morning. Not anymore. Oh, but she did find her voice after everything was bagged up and I was getting ready to leave to ask me if I wanted to contribute to whatever the latest Publix charity is.

I don't mind so much that they don't have everything. I want/need, and I still manage to find new things they carry only every once in a while. I enjoy the Aldi knock off brands that are significantly cheaper than the brand names, and it's fun to be able to 'splurge' by letting my kids get the fake doritos or the fake Hawaiian rolls every once in a while. Although I don't always get the 'natural' brand version of things, even the 'non-natural' brand lacks things like corn syrup, which I appreciate. A couple visits ago, I picked up some Aldi specialty pumpkin pasta sauce, and it was divine. Was hoping there would be another bottle, but this time it was Pumpkin Chipotle! Also got some Key Lime hot sauce. And some pumpkin bagels. I am glad I am old enough to not be swayed by anything in the aisles of shame (IYKYK). And I always, always carry at least 1 quarter in my purse at all times now.

I was refused access to the store when accompanied with my legal service dog. I am a disabled army…read moreveteran and I have a prescribed service dog to assist with my disabilities. When I stopped in yesterday to buy a couple bottles of wine I had my dog with me. I was aggressively stopped by armed security and told I could not have my dog in the store I explained she was a service animal. He and the manager both denied me access. I have it all on video!

My family and I love to come here because of the big and free parking lot and the large selection available in each side of the market. We tend to pick up some of the prepared food each week since it's easy to heat up and they provide instructions on how to do so and it's always such a filling and delicious meal. All the workers in the store are available through out the store to provide any answers to questions on what available and even provide free samples if asked! I also will say the breads and pastries are delicious and definitely worth purchasing especially since it's much cheaper to buy there versus at one of the bakeries on the island. The wine is a god send! Just wow so many to choose from and such an exclusive selection as well. Of course, all she wanted was lasagna, and we realized our mistake at the last minute. Betty in the catering area completely saved the day. She helped us get our entire order together in just 15 minutes, which honestly felt like a miracle. She even coordinated with a young man in the food prep area (I wish I had gotten his name!), and he put everything together incredibly fast. We were the ones who messed up, but the staff went above and beyond to help us. Amazing customer service--we're so grateful!
