The indoor courts are clean and staff is pretty fair. -Decently sized playground for kids to play -Enough benches for parents to watch their kids play. -Location: My teenager lives a hop, skip, and a jump away from here. My baby's front yard is literally Salt Creek. Yes, I've been to Salt Creek's community center a ton of times. I could be the Duke if I could only remember to check in. -Fitness Room: They have a small fitness room where you can get your workout on. This fitness room is not for me because I need a little more than just a handful of machines, but it's perfect for the peeps living in the community that's looking for a quick workout. -Trails: From the community center runs trails that circle the area. The next time I'm in town, I am using the start of the trail for my half marathon training. The trail doesn't run 12 miles, but that's what side streets are for. San Diego Rock n Roll here I come!!! There's plenty of parking at this park and til this day it's still well maintained. I laugh at Maria C's review about the parking if you're here for a Filipino party. She mentioned how crazy the parking can get. She's so right about that. Come to think of it, I think I was at the same party. PS: I haven't seen dangerous wildlife at this park (i.e. snakes, coyotes, mountain lions, ladybugs, etc). There are some dogs though and you never know when one is going to bite you in the leg, ha. For those who don't care to trek the whole course, there's a jungle gym, playground, basketball courts, and outdoor gym near the main entrance. There's also a dog park. Parking isn't an issue since there are 2 main lots to park in. Before hitting the course, there are 2 sets of restrooms. The best time to get here is early morning before 10am.

The space overlooks the water and is the first space you'll see driving up. It's a bit secluded from the rest of the park allowing you to have a more private event with your guests. We ended up having just 40 people attend our baby shower, but with the ample space, it allowed us to fully decorate the space and bring separate tables for desserts and welcome table. The stage space was perfect for the photo backdrop and everything came out so beautifully. Highly recommend this space for any events, even a small outdoor wedding. Check-in was super easy and we were allowed music, decors, and even alcohol on site. Some of us came an hour early to start the decorations and stayed an hour later to clean up, but you can access your space anytime between 9-5:30pm. Everything was perfect. Our event was only 4 hours so it was more than enough time to come early to set up and fully clean up after. Restrooms are super clean, park is well maintained with rangers on-site. Parking is $5 all day and plenty of our things for guests to do such as playground for the kids or the open grass area to run around in or nice hiking trails all around for a quick exploring.

It's so huge and lots of benches, a playground and the library is close by. Lots of trees in the park. So relaxing to just hang out here. We do a nice stroll after dinner. It is so lovely at sunset! The other night we were there and saw the launch trail of the rocket in the sky. So pretty with the colors of the sunset and the white rocket trail. People may be a tad frightened of my big dog but I've met loads of people that see she is a love bug. You can't ask for a better backdrop than the strand to downtown and the awesome Coronado Bridge! Last week they had a lowrider gathering with some absolutely gorgeous cars and trucks and food! I loved the music and the DJ was great! Enjoyed the music from everyone's cars. Especially enjoyed the happy people. The boats and yachts are great to look at well. Good times. Come on down see ya out there and we can have a nice chit chat. Several picnic tables throughout, nice grassy area to put down a blanket and plenty of squirrels and birds to see too.

When I was a kid most Easter's & Birthday parties were here. One park has a pier to fish the other has a loading deck for boats. When I was a teenager I came here as well but not for family gatherings but to hang out with friends. And it's a good spot to bring girls late at night & you know....play BINGO in the back seat :) the first park has alot of parking spots for that. Now that I'm a dad & family man I come again for birthday parties & also just to hang with family to grill & see the low riders on weekends. My favorite reason to come tho is to see the Sunsets with my daughters, have a late picnic, listen to music & just watch the sun set, love it. Me & my family's favorite park in the South Bay hands down. Now with the Gaylord Resort next door the park looks better & is extended. There are never too many people here, if anything there may be too few people. It is very quiet, and has a lot to offer. The park has tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, and a very large grass area (I mean LARGE). The playground is a bit strange looking, as it isn't your average park playground. I am confused as to how children may play on it, but if it works for them then okay. Personally, I have not seen anyone using the tennis courts, yet. The basketball courts have a light switch, which I discovered by pure accident. I think this is pretty cool since they don't have to use up electricity that isn't being used by anyone. There are a good number of tables with benches, as well as trash cans. I would recommend this park to anyone in the neighborhood as well as anyone looking for a more private park setting for the family or a picnic.
