Cute park to bring kids to. It's got a little pond with ducks and turtles. There is also a decent size playground and a shaded picnic table area.

The Heritage Park is a nice large park off East Palomar in Chula Vista. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So please take them into account as you're reading and you'll have an over 25,000 word review. I saw people walking, with and without dogs, people jogging in like fashion, people of all ages playing a variety of ball games. People picnicking. Everone I met was friendly. It was a Beautiful Southern California Day. I highly reccomend this park. The one thing I didn't like was the United States Flag was not on the provided flagpole. If I wanted to get nitpicky there were no books in the "Little Library." I'm the type of person who likes to keep my books as a collection . I came up with the idea today to go to a library that has book sales and purchace some to stock the various "little Library" boxes around the county for others to enjoy. I noticed the lawns were well maintained as were the various buildings structures and such. The restrooms were clean. Next time I visit I think I'll have a picnic. I Do reccomend this park to Chula Vista residents or visitors. But with so many nice parks County wide I wouldn't make a special trip to visit. If they had an Amphitheater and hosted a Summer Arts Festival or maybe weekend Music Festivals I'd change my recomendation and add a star. (HINT HINT) From what I saw there's space to do it.

Lovely park next to a bus stop and row of businesses. Features an abundance of trees that are beautiful and provide shade. There are a good volume of parking options nearby. The basketball courts, open fields, playground, and lake provide leisure options for all demographics. Peaceful and clean - saw a good amount of folks with blankets relaxing over their lunch breaks. Nice! Would return.

Love love love this beautiful park! Very family oriented and well kept. It's a dog friendly area as well, which is very important to me! If you bring your dog along there are several places to get poop bags just in case your forgot yours. Seems like people actually use them properly because it's so very rare that I see dog poop! There is a playground, basketball court, volley ball area with sand, and a beautiful community center with a pool. Oh I can't forget the man made pond with ducks relaxing! It's a very beautiful site at times, just make sure to look pass the water and sometimes smell. Reminder they do not like you or shall I say want you feeding the ducks. They may warn you if caught. *One thing I would tell them to look out for is clearing the trash cans in a timidly manner. It's very rare that I see it really messy but this week there was trash spilling out of the trash cans.* There's several trash cans around the park and someplaces there is recycle bins. I would recommend there being more because I truly love recycling! The scenery is taking care of by contractors and they make sure to keep the leaves and grass...well all the landscape tidy. All in all this is a great park to take your family to and have a great time!

A great place to walk and enjoy the ducks and turtles! I loved taking my kids when they were little and enjoy it just as much now to exercise! A beautiful place!

This is a great park to go for a jog, bring the kids to play or play some basketball with friends. There is a lot of space to have Picnic with your family or significant other. They also have a community pool which is nice too but it is only for residents. There is plenty of parking, I would recommend this park if you like to go for walks or runs. The Pond is beautiful with lots of ducks to feed and see. My daughter loves to feed the ducks.

I would of given 5 stars but the last time we came here every thing was great but this time was pretty depressing. First off we arrive out of the car i see the trash can overflowing with trash not just outside the bag but on the floor piled next to it and also scattered. Ok... Second, we walk over to our spot on the hill and on the side of the community center i saw disgusting grafitti. A "38" and "shelltown" lol wow... 38th street and gamma are wayyy far from this park... And thirdly the bathrooms... Weren't that dirty but poorly stocked idk if it was because it was a sunday but what gives!!?? I walk into a stall...no seatcovers...the next one...no toilet paper. Jeeze! Makes me really sad to see such a beautiful park being poorly maintained. Chula Vista or should i say Otay Ranch please take into consideration if i wanted to go to a ghetto ugly dirty park i would go elsewhere. Common!!! This is supposed to be a suburb park? What a shame maybe ill stick to the hood.

It's not the best park, but I can deal with it :) This park has a pretty large pond where all the duckies are at. Perfect place to bring your kids to watch the duckies play and to relax. I usually come here to read my fav book of the month or just to spend some quality "me" time away from school and work stuff. Helps me release stress. Also, you can bring your dogs here to play or run with you :) animal friendly (if I'm wrong, plz correct me) This park has a huge grass field, decent sized play ground for kids ( they have the best monkey bars here!! And some zip-lining inspired bars too!) even I can go in them :) and the other side of the park has the "duckie" pond.

Great park in a great area! The kids love it and I like taking walks on the trails they have. Their is also a nice Lake with ducks and some of them just had ducklings that are super cute! Very relaxing scene that will take stress on your mind. One thing I recommend they add is more swings as they only have baby swings.

    Nice and relaxing vibes

Great park. Clean, family friendly, great for picnics, and very relaxing. The man made mini lake is a cool spot to kick it and I see people feeding the ducks often. There is also a community pool here for the kiddos as well as a sandlot with the playground equipment. For you runners there are some pretty gnarly hills to climb near the park, great for resistance running!

This little gem of a park is great for a neighborly stroll. Unfortunately, it's not always well maintained. Worth going if you're nearby.

Super cute park. There are plenty of trees/shade which is a huge plus since many of the trees in otay parks are still maturing.

When I was a kid most Easter's & Birthday parties were here. One park has a pier to fish the other has a loading deck for boats. And it's a good spot to bring girls late at night & you know....play BINGO in the back seat :) the first park has alot of parking spots for that. Now that I'm a dad & family man I come again for birthday parties & also just to hang with family to grill & see the low riders on weekends.
