They have tons of different classes here and the owner Brian is super nice. The locations very relaxing when you first walk in and smells fabulous. They have a lobby area where you can buy different items and some clothing, and it's really spacious here. The class I did was about a hour and a half long and really helped me feel better. Even though I prefer heated courses, Brian did a fabulous job of getting us where we needed to go. I will return in the future for other events as the studio really is fabulous.

The website has great functionality and was very easy to gather information from and to schedule a class. When I arrived the person at the front desk must have gathered I was a new student, greeted me by name and helped direct me and introduced me to the instructor. The instructor was very kind, making note of my limitations and gently helping me understand things I was doing wrong, giving instructions directly and indirectly. I actually surprised myself being able to do things I didn't expect I was capable of. You don't have to be able to everything perfectly, just what is comfortable. It was also more meditative than I expected which I really enjoyed. After the class some very nice classmates were very complimentary and welcoming. I am sure I will get more out of these classes as I become more familiar with yoga. And I definitely will be continuing. I did a pretty wide internet search from rec center to other schools in the area and am glad I settled on this one. It was exactly what I was looking for.

For starters, it is a gorgeous, impeccably designed space. It is calming and welcoming, & every interaction - from greeter to teacher--was warm. The yoga room is lit by candlelight & heated with infrared technology. As someone who found the heat of bikram to be kind of suffocating, this infrared heat truly (as advertised) felt like sunshine. The studio does offer classes of varying degrees of difficulty & experience, but my experience was with the fully-guided primary Practice Flow. As an introduction, I am as far from a yogi as Saturn is from Earth- years of sports have demolished my joints & overtuned my tendons, & I can hardly touch my toes (& the use of the word "hardly" is generous). As such, I was somewhat intimidated to take my first free Practice Flow at Practice Saturday morning. I was worried everyone in the class would be incredibly flexible & amazing & bend circles around me. & honestly, if there was a third party watching the class from the ceiling, they very well may have been! However, throughout the entire class, I did not even notice. Class at Practice is truly a personal experience. You become so tuned in to your own body you do not find yourself searching the room for inspiration or competitors. The room is filled with encouragement & light. It challenged me & awakened a love for yoga I never knew existed. Tommy -the teacher of the class, & studio owner- is fantastic. He is encouraging & takes the time to correct form if it is lacking. He was positive the entire time, which, as a far from perfect perfectionist, I completely appreciated. If you prefer not to be adjusted at all, there are cards available at the front desk that you can leave on your mat & indicate such. The music was great - not overpowering. I felt energized & positive when I walked out the doors of Practice for the first time, & I can hardly wait to enter those doors again. Thank you, Practice & Tommy, for an amazing class!

This is the best experience I've ever had at a yoga studio (I've been practicing for about 6 years now ... lived in a variety of different US cities & have pretty much also been to all of the yoga studios in Metro Detroit and this is my favorite). Teachers are awesome! Everyone is beyond nice and the studio is super cute & quaint (it's pretty small but the classes don't get super packed... unless you go to Justin's class). Most classes at Blue are a "guided" heated vinyasa flow - they will go through a variety of sequences with you, but ultimately let you flow by yourself. Pro Tips - Free 2 hour parking in nearby parking structures - Great new student offers - Clean facilities (in my last review I said there was no shower.. and I misspoke, they do have a shower!) - Amazing people that instruct & take yoga here - Take any of Justin's classes! I can see muscle definition like never before in my legs, it's crazy. The yoga classes are great. I really enjoy the Yin class, it's my hour of mental health each week. My friend got me started on Yoga Basics. It's not necessarily an easy class but rather focuses on the right posture. As someone whose journey to Yoga started at bigger gyms this is really important to me. They take the time to explain the proper positions and if you are off they will tell you how to correct it. (After an IT injury, I've learned the importance of posture!). There are a several classes I haven't tried like Booty Bunz and gym sticks that people love. There is also tighten and tone that I like but totally kicks my butt. Zumba is fun and I recommend trying out different instructors because they all have their own take on things.
