We called this company in the hope of having muscovy ducks removed.
He answered right away. We explained to him the problem we had with about half a dozen birds born on the premises. The ducks refused to leave in spite of our many efforts at chasing them away.
He requested a deposit plus an additional $50.00 for each duck he trapped. The deposit was given to him. We explained to him that the ducks are seen only in the morning or late afternoon, as during the day they are by the water near the club house. We made it very clear that if he came any other time he would not get the ducks.
The 3 times he came he came in the middle of the day. When we confronted him he said he could not come in the morning because he came from Miami and traffic was very bad, He could not come in the evening for the same reasons. Not sure why he agreed to do job if he could not be here at the times needed.
The first day he came he trapped one duck. He used a small net to try to trap ducks. I have seen people trap Muscovy ducks before but never anyone with a small net.
The second day he trapped another duck. We recognized those 2 ducks to be ours by their distinct markings.
The third day he came he trapped nothing. He said he was leaving because the ducks already recognize him. This comment I found to be rather strange. Latter that day he texted me pictures of 6 ducks which were absolutely not ours and demanded to get paid another $300.00 plus tax beside the deposit and $100.00 owed him for the 2 we recognized. We explained to him that those were not our ducks, and we would not be paying for anything other than the removal of our ducks.
He then proceeded to leave me a message on my cell phone threatening us that he would return the 6 ducks he trapped, if we did not pay him.
As agreed we paid him for the 2 ducks that were ours. Based on my experience with this company I would not recommend them. read more
