I find these low rated reviews to be inaccurate. I've been going to Expert Touch since moving out towards Richlands, making it about 2 years straight. I have since moved even further into Richlands and farther away from Jacksonville, and STILL find myself coming to this barbershop. These ladies are absolutely fantastic at what they do. They listen, they talk to you, they're professional in their conduct, and the shop is always clean and always organized. In my opinion, there's no better place to get a haircut than here while in Jacksonville. Every single lady I've gone to has done a fantastic job and would just recommend you sit down and talk to whoever and enjoy your experience, because you will leave highly satisfied. read more

They say 15$ for a kids haircut but then they tell me 25$ because of the amount of hair after the fact.. so I have to pay 10$ extra for them to do their job. I'm sorry maybe I'm out of line but think that is ridiculous. Been getting my haircut by Alex for over a year now and it's always an amazing and relaxing experience. The haircuts are very well done and the attention to detail is next to none. Tips for the customer: 1. Cash only. They have an ATM. 2. Don't come on a weekend unless you have 3+ hours to spare in wait time. No joke. 3. No, you cannot get an appointment. The only person you can book with is the owner via booksy. 4. These gals are REALLY good. But you have to be willing to put up with the obnoxiously long wait times. 5. One of the only shops to sell Suavacito products, which is a huge plus! Tips for the owner: 1. Allow your other barbers to be available for appointments. You can limit their appointments to weekdays or weekend mornings to avoid conflicting with the weekend rush. 2. Your peak days/times are Saturdays and Sundays. If your barber-to-customer ratio is less than 5 barbers for every 10 customers that walk in, you need more staff. 3. Offer an incentive for frequent flyers like a discount on hair products, next visit, or additional services for a certain amount of haircuts. I really want to see this place succeed! Pitiful to have 10 people (some had been waiting for 30 minutes or more) in line at the door 5 minutes prior to opening and knowing there is 1 maybe (if it's a leap year) 2 employees working. The hour long wait times are horrendous which cannot be offset by a free beer when the quality of the cuts are a roll of the dice for who is working. Management needs to address this serious lack in staffing and personnel management. A suggestion would include STAFFING MORE PEOPLE FOR PEAK HOURS! Not to mention forecasting when those peak hours are to ensure your wait times are handled appropriately. People having to arrive at your haircut business 30-45 minutes prior to opening is testimony to mismanagement, not quality of service. read more

Came here to bring my 4 boys to get haircuts. 2 of them came out good, 2 of them got their hairlines pushed so back it looked as if they were loosing their hair. Still on a search for a good barber who can do a lineup in NC like they do in cali. The search continues..... I will say, my husband gets his haircuts here every Sunday. Got my hair cut. It looks great. Jamie did a really good job. The cut was quick but the wait was not. Supposedly during the week the only have one person on hand. So if you show up during the week you may have to wait a bit based on if anyone got there before you. The place smelled good and looked generally tidey. I had 3 different girls cut my boys blonde hair and the fades were all done extremely well. In fact they're so good I'd NEVER go anywhere else. Everyone was nice and the girls all talked to me and the boys. I love that the clippers were kept up and equipment was all clean. Girls please keep doing what you do! This place provides great haircuts. I have been coming here regularly for the past year and a half. The weight times have gone from 45-60 minutes at the worst to 90 minutes regularly. They expanded and the place looks wonderful, but the only facet of the expansion that seems to be utilized is the additional seats in the waiting room. Any time a men's haircut takes 2.5 hours something is wrong. The cuts are great, but the juice isn't worth the squeeze. I hope they hire more barbers and the wait times get reduced. read more

I got my first hair cut in over a year here. I had a regular barber but he has since moved away. I have been hesitant to get my hair cut for this reason. Upon walking in I was instantly greeted with a smile. It also may have been a slow time since I was the second customer in the establishment. But none the less she sat me in the chair and asked what I was looking for? After she deciphered my explanation of how I wanted my hair she began to cut. Slooooooooooooower than slow. There's a difference between being thorough and taking your time for the customer to have a decent hair cut and dilly dallying. Every single time we go here we are waiting 45+ minutes to even get in a chair when there are only two other people waiting and four stylists cutting hair. We have never been in and out of here within an hour of getting here. I'm literally watching the same people get their hair cut that were already about done when I got here getting the TINIEST touch ups. These girls are literally cutting cm of hair off at a time now. This is my forth straight week going here and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new barber or brand new to the area. I been going to Marissa the last 2 weeks and she does a good job. There's a couple new girls that work there that I haven't seen there work but there was only one girl I wouldn't recommend but I totally forgot her name. I walked in with my two sons last Sunday, 1-22-17, to be told they don't serve kids on Sundays. The Sunday before that, we walked in at 8:10 to be told they moved their Sunday hours to the holiday Monday. I can understand changing hours due to the holiday upcoming, but why not tell me then that you do not do kids cuts on Sundays? Would you have done kids cuts that holiday Monday? Disappointed, I started my 45 minute trip back home. But looking at their Facebook page, kids are "under 13" which means the receptionist assumed my short kids were under 13, and they're not! So my husband and I called. I'm still waiting on the manager to return my call almost a week later. I guess after 3 years of being a customer, my money isn't wanted here. read more

Awful service, they do not open on time, eveytime I have been here they have been late. Also hey do not have a system to figure out who came in first in the morning.
