Clean cut from "Clipper And Shears"
    Jerry J.

I have bounced around a handful of barbershops, and this is by far the best one I have ever been to. In my opinion, this is what the American dream looks like as far as how business would want to be ran. Here are a few examples: 1. Staff was courteous, professional and seemed very knowledgeable. A barber that knows what questions to ask and how to ask them is huge. 2. The environment was spotless with an aroma of cedar and good aftershave. Accompanied by plush barber chairs, were THREE giant televisions playing popular movies. Amenities that include snacks, beverages, and some fancy hair products were also available. choice. Bonus points for having a good environment for talkers and non-talkers. 3. I have to talk about the cut. By far my favorite part. From bouncing around a lot, I can tell the difference between somebody doing 20 swipes on the same spot thus making your scalp raw, and somebody who knows what the heck they're doing. This man did not play. Not only did my barber create a fade like a Bob Ross painting, the trim job on top was downright perfection. Mix this in with a hot towel razor job to clean up the edges on my neck/ sideburns, the hard part, and the little spritz of after shave, it was top notch. This is one happy customer and I will be back.

    Choppy and un even blend
    Seyha L.

Got it today. The blend was pretty bad when i had time to look at it closely. the front it looks ok. Base on how little he went over with the clippers i was already concerned and when he started taking off the drape after i felt very little was blended. Now that i had time to look at it my concern were corrected. There were major uneven choppy blend all around. Would not come back.

Best Medium Low fade in Jacksonville!!

Hands down the best barbers in Jacksonville! Completely impressed by how accommodating and professional they are! My husband has been looking for a good barber since we moved here July 2014, unfortunately no one had been able to give him the exact hair cut he wanted... Until today! We showed Megumi (sorry if I'm spelling her name wrong) a photo of the cut my husband wanted and she replicated it EXACTLY! Thank you so much!! He will be back bi-weekly for sure!

    Boys cut.

Great cuts for men and boys. We walked in on a Monday morning and waited maybe 1/2 hour but totally worth it. 3 cuts in under 30 mins and all liked their cuts. Very friendly to our children and even turned on Transformers movie when we came in. The staff is limited so I would call ahead if you are traveling far for a cut.

Was visiting from out of town and seen this place with good reviews. Thought I would try it out. Mostly for military members. Not a place if you want barber style haircuts. Great for high and tight only.

Definitely not a 4.5 barber. You get a massage after so that's cool. Plenty of better options in Jville.

This isn't about character assassination it doesn't apply. The vibe of this place is misleading. The 'ambiance' is pretty NY studio and the people are really nice. The person that I had boasted about being 'really good with men's hair.' To this I have to say not so much. When I got there I had shoulder length hair and was looking for a change. I'm a youngish looking acting 62 year old and I wanted a punk 'Japanese' look. But that's not what I got. I got a high volume, mess. It was supposed to be razor cut but you know on the outside not buried under a mass of hair. Sort of backwards. If you can't see the different lengths it sort of makes the process moot. Try again #2. Let me point out that this person that I was loyal to is very chatty. Which is fine what else are you gonna do in this situation? OK so #2. I get there and decide that I'd like to get an asymmetric cut but extreme. Not barely. Otherwise what is the point. And I thought it would be cool to get a streak but that came the next time. This time it was an attempt at an asymmetric cut. You guessed it not even close. Anyhoo, I keep leaving disappointed but I'm a nice guy so I just sort of accept it. Just kept thinking I know I'll get what I want at some time in the future so keep on showin up. Onto the dye transfer. I chose a funky teal and instead of a streak it was about 10 hair follicles. Super impactful as you would guess right? More like underwhelming. Then I realize that she did such a magnificent job that she included my scalp for free. I had blue dye all up on my head and she said they usually would use baby wipes and suggested I get some. They were somehow out which to me is bizarre. Hey we painted your head so now you have the honor of purchasing an item we should always have on hand. Huh? I was pissed at this point. But I took her advice. I began to rub the area of lovely blue with the now purchased wipes. Did I mention I have no baby to use the other 100 on? As luck would have it the dye really permeated the skin so I rubbed so hard that it caused an abrasion. Whoo hoo! What more could a man ask for? And no it didn't come off for days but every ounce of dye in my hair did. Jackpot in Jax. To end and here is why I am writing this. This person is nice but woefully under trained when it comes to knowledge of styles and what they should look like. I like this person so much as a person that when she liked my bracelet I took it off and gave it to her. This I don't care about it's nice to make others happy. Like for instance me. I did a little introspection and gave her a call. I said I had to be honest I didn't think she understood what I wanted so I nicely said 'miscommunication.' Translated that means when you don't understand something say so. Or, if you are in over your head state that. I'd rather that than a shtty haircut. Synopsis. When someone calls you as I did you have 2 choices. Go into Customer Svc. mode and explain that 'you are a valued customer.' Won't you please reconsider and I'll get someone else for you so you'll get what you want. We'll give you that free and no harm just want to make this right. Didn't get that. Got, OK sorry it didn't work out. Click. So much for feeling worthy. Clearly I was just another fn customer and that was that. I purposely didn't make this personal because of Covid and hard times for many including her she has a few jobs. So the object here is to speak truth to power so that maybe this becomes a teaching moment. Sht happens. But when it's this kind I need to open up and advocate for myself. Wish this person the best. But the way I was treated was shite. My hair is still a mess after months of not going there. All kinds of weird ends and no shape to go with it. Nope. Not pleased not saying don't go. You might strike gold. All I got was a chunk of anthracite. Score! Whatever you choose, do not ask for The Gorbachev. You've been warned.

I recieved color but was puzzled by a 5 minute toner & didn't even receive Step 2 of olaplex because it requires a minimum of 20 minutes at the wash station AFTER all color is washed out. I was charged for the whole process without knowing if I actually received ANY of it. I called after leaving the salon focused on the red/orange color and understanding that the style was just never going to happen because it would have to completely be redone. Who doesn't do it right the 1st time if they're capable? Immediately assured that I could come back but it was WORSE after the 2nd toner. This is what $168 gets you at this salon. Good luck.
