I was in a tight spot financially and…read moreso I sought recommendations online for a mechanic that was both honest and that did quality work. 3 reviews came up and I felt that Mike's Service Station sounded the best. Once I gave Mike the information on the car, I began walking home knowing it would be at minimum an hour or so to fix the issue which according to initial diagnostics, appeared to be a bad starter motor. I was no more than half way home and my phone rings. My car was ready! How could that be? It turned to be a piece of plastic that should have been removed when the battery was installed .... 3 YEARS AGO! I should never have been able to drive the car with that piece of hard plastic on the positive terminal and I've been to mechanics who would have taken advantage of the situation. Not Mike! Talk about honest! He didn't charge me anything even to look at it. I must have some hard working angels. I offered to pay something for his time but he refused. I suggested the go to Tom and his amazing staff that only focus in on those two brands of cars. The problems are fixed at a reasonable rate. I already had the bulb and they notified me they couldn't get under the car for installation, but Hassan walked me out to my car on an extremely hot day and helped assist me because he "didn't want me wasting my money." I was charged a diagnostic fee. Fine. They said what the problem was (supposedly) and what the charges would be to repair the problem. I gave consent to fix the problem. After picking up the car, on the drive home the issue was still present. Because I picked up the car close to closing, by the time I got home they were closed. I called the next day and I was told to bring it back for more diagnostics. I did. Once there, I was told I'd be charged for the diagnostics again. I was livid. How can you charge me TWICE for an issue that you failed to properly diagnose and fix the first time. Lesson learned. I won't be going back.
