The team handled everything professionally and efficiently. One of the most impressive parts was watching them use straps to safely lower our bed frame down to the first floor--they made a difficult task look easy. They came fully prepared with all the necessary moving supplies, including wardrobe boxes, and even provided protective materials for our delicate tiles, making sure everything was properly covered and protected. Someone reached out and took all the information, reached out to the management company of the building etc. The management company sent a quote to Roadway for the damage, and we thought everything was in the works, and all would be taken care of. Well, its been over a month since our move, and after MANY emails, texts and phone calls we have not heard a PEEP from Roadway. This is unbelievably unprofessional, frustrating, and SO disappointing after the move itself was such a great experience. I am writing this review to hopefully get the attention of someone at Roadway, and get this taken care of immediately. Understandably the building wants to get this fixed, and supposedly someone from Roadway is suppose to come and asses the damage...but we have never heard from anyone. They are holding my boyfriends security deposit, and now I am afraid that if they get it fixed without roadways physical assessment of the damage, that roadway won't cover the damages at all and we will get stuck paying for it. They came right about 15 minutes after the end of the arrival window which actually worked out well so we could prepare more for them, but overall everything was faster than they/we estimated which is great when you're paying by the hour. They used supplies we had bought from Home Depot and Amazon, plus their own for the wardrobe and other big things. One glass jar was broken in the unpacking process and they were quick to apologize and clean it up the best they could. While they ask customers to leave a review (totally understandable), I appreciate that they don't incentivize for them nor do they demand 5 stars. We'll be calling for them again, no doubt. After loading the couches, they demanded an additional $100 that had never been disclosed or authorized. The situation felt coercive and inappropriate. In addition to the payment dispute, the movers caused multiple damages: * One of the couches was damaged. * The garage door was damaged. * A component of the security system on the back door was broken. He offered a partial refund, which I appreciated. Because of how respectfully this was handled, I'm updating my review and adjusting my star rating to reflect the resolution. That said, I will return with another update if the refund does not arrive within the promised week.) I am extremely disappointed upon arriving at my place and opening my boxes that were in storage this past week. On 29 March, 2026, I hired this company to do only the packing, and the pre-unpacking review was positive only because the movers were friendly. Now, I know why - a bit akin to servers being overly friendly just before giving the bill. On 7 April, 2026, I finally was able to take my stuff out of storage and open some of the boxes. I'm absolutely floored at what I've discovered. Long and short of it, one of the boxes was never even fully taped or taped at all, and everything that was in my drawers had been dumped into the box. Nothing was wrapped, including the little lamp that I had - just took the lightbulb out and threw it in there. Took off the shade so it would fit - didn't care if it got crushed or torn. Then, I guess he couldn't or was too lazy (?) to put the shoes all in one box or something, because he dumped a bunch of them in there, too! No glass or breakable items were wrapped and I had supplied them with plenty of wrapping paper, as there was even some leftover. Bottles of liquid substance were not securely shut and protected from leakage. It appeared as though drawers of things were dumped out into boxes with no regard. I haven't opened all the boxes, but from what I've seen so far, I suspect I'll have to update. I will also add that without seeing any price list for boxes, no transparency about that whatsoever, I ended up paying $95 just for boxes - they said they would use as many of mine as possible, and even after the 10 small ones they gave gratis, there were several of mine leftover, but I was out $95, and no one showed me the price breakdown of this. There is *no way that was an honest summary! Furthermore, I was pressured by one of the movers into giving a 20% tip! The audacity! Especially after deceitfully charging me $95 for a few boxes!!! I emailed customer service address, along with a direct reply to Michell, who processed my order, as well as a text to his assistant Megan. As I figured, I would be ghosted once I needed actual "after I've paid" support. I read other reviews that said similar. No one has reached out via phone call or email. The reply Megan wrote in a text seems like the canned responses all businesses use, and rarely, do these hold any water. I am out of pocket over $500 due to this poor service, but that doesn't matter to them, because it's now in their pockets now. p.s.When I went onto Yelp to review them, there is a warning pop-up about fake reviews.
