Due to the Covid-19 crisis, St. Joseph's/Candler has a "No Visitor" policy. While I understand this…read morepolicy and the need for social distancing, I believe that in some circumstances some grace should be given. I was contacted by my primary care to make an appointment and re-establish care at the Rincon location. On the day of my appointment, my children were with me. My two children are very compliant, obedient, and quiet. Their ages are 10 and 7, so they are mature enough to wait quietly as I have taught them. They had their masks on and there was literally NO ONE in the waiting room. I made them sit and proceeded to the front desk. After giving my name, the receptionist reminded me that "we are not allowing children in the office." I told her that I would not leave them in the car alone, as most people would not leave their pets in the car with the AC on. She apologized and said that she understands, but it was the policy. She offered to reschedule and I asked for refills on my blood pressure medication. I am completely out at this point, and delayed my care due to the coronavirus. She took care of this request and I left. While exiting, an older gentleman was allowed to enter without a mask on, which is also against their policy. As a former healthcare professional, I understand this policy, but there was no reason for this. This discourages people from getting their exams. I was aware of the policy before I arrived and tried to have my husband take off work to keep them while getting my exam. I made an attempt to receive childcare with my other family members, but they were unavailable. If the waiting room was full I would have expected to be turned away. But no one was there and they should have taken our temperatures and allowed us in. So I am very upset and concerned about my blood pressure, which is why I made the appointment. On a positive note, I visited the Immediate Med group here in Rincon last month. The visit was for myself and again, I had my children with me. They allowed me in and my children were seated nice and quietly in the back of the waiting room. They had their masks on, told not to roam or touch anything, and they were so well behaved that no one knew that they were even there. I received my care and left within 30 minutes. I expected the same care at the Rincon location.

After leaving the Urgent Care in downtown Savannah, I went straight to the one located on Derenne…read moreAve. Boy, what a massive difference in professionalism. When I walked in, I had to wait about 15-minutes to let the people who had already been seen checkout and then allow the ones before me to go to the counter. When I went to the counter, the girl whispered if I was there for a Covid test, being mindful that I might not want people around me knowing my business -- pure class on her part. Once I confirmed, she had Sarah Holton assist me. Sarah was very kind, understanding, professional, and straightforward. She gave me options with pricing as they don't take insurance and made sure I was OK with everything before moving forward. You could tell she genuinely cares about her patients, and although she deals with many sick people a day hasn't lost her compassion. Once the Doctor arrived, whose name escaped me, but she was a lovely sweet petite red-headed woman, who was as equally kind, gentle, and compassionate as Sarah, she was able to put me on a Covid recovery plan. Urgent Care, unlike many other clinics, is in the healing business and prescribes what is needed for you to heal, not what is recommended by big Pharma to make a profit. I am so grateful I found them. They are worth every penny you spend out of pocket. They gave me the paperwork to get reimbursement from my insurance company, so that's a bonus. Also, when I told Sarah about the experience I had at the historic Savannah location, she apologized on behalf of the company and reported the incident to her management. She goes over and beyond for her patients. I highly recommend this Urgent Care location!

They don't take insurance so it's $99 for the visit which isn't bad if you don't have insurance I…read moreguess. The exam rooms are not clean. The floors are dirty and the bin for what looks like IV fluid bags and other things similar doesn't have a lid. Also trash on the floor and the regular trash can has no lid. The Nurse Practitioner is nice but didn't really seem to know how to diagnose me. She asked me if I wanted various shots and tests but I really am not sure because well, I'm not a medical professional. Every shot and test costs extra but it turned out to be more expensive than other urgent cares I've been to. I wouldn't come back...
