I came here through Desk Pass Positives: - Overall the work ethic is high, everyone seems respectable and minimizes chit chat etc. - Coffee Station (BUT I do wish they had milk options and flavoring of coffees) - Clean(ish) kitchen area. There seems to be those who still think others will do their dishes, not cool. Overall though it's nice and clean. - Snack options, this is on the honor system and seemed to be followed, they have chips, la croix, etc available Needing Improvement: - Transparency: Be warned there is a $100 "set up" fee with the membership, this is not stated anywhere on the site. - Security: Anyone and everyone were walking in and out of the building. It appears as though you need to be buzzed in but nope, all you had to do was pull the door handle and walk right in. - Space: this place gets crowded, fast! Get here early and be prepared to share your space. - Outlets: where are they? In the phone booths, there are no outlets. I understand this may be the case to minimize the amount of time using them but what if you go to take a call and need to charge your phone? - Outlet cont. The few that are available are huge holes in the ground which are a big fall factor (see picture). I almost placed my foot in this while trying to maneuver through tables to a seat. One could easily twist their ankle with this. - Available staff: this was my first time coming here and when I walked in, it wasn't clear where the front desk was, WHY? Because no one was there. The person who is to be there would leave often for long periods of time. For members, this may be ok, but for the newbie this is confusing. - LOUD music: they play music in the sound system and it's loud. The space is beautiful, spacious and the staff who works for Level has been extremely professional, kind, flexible and fun! They host informative lunch and learns, holiday celebrations and foster and contribute to a daily sense of community. Nice, clean and bright shared space for office working. However the coffee runs out of milk every single time I'm there, and sometimes the staff disables it altogether midday Friday. Maybe it's just me but HELLO I STILL NEED COFFEE MID-DAY. Also something has to be done about the outlet holes all over the floor - they are a huge tripping hazard. Outlet covers are too small to fit any computer charger, so people are forced to remove the covers to access power - leaving large holes all over the flooStill rating this 4 stars because it's a comfy and clean space, but it could use a little attention in areas of service and safety. UPDATE: 2/16 here at 9am and milk is already out at the coffee station ... again ... as always. Why pay for all these amenities if they never function? read more

This is the best coworking space in Chicago. It is quiet, the people are friendly and really convenient to the Loop. I use the coworking level which is at the top of the building, the other floors are all private offices, but those folks come up to the common space for lunch and to hang out occasionally. The manager is Kayley is phenomenal and is always around to answer questions or just be a friendly resource. Despite the limited space available, there's never a problem getting a desk or even a standing desk which is awesome. read more

Corrine, Dalila and Bill have made what could be a tedious experience, an amazing, supportive and great one. Myself and team are currently in the co-working space, (soon to move to office). Corrine and Dalila go above and beyond to ensure that we are well taken care of and feel a part of the Level community even though we don't have a true office just yet. The space itself is gorgeous, modern and motivating. Corrine is there at the drop of a hat to assist with anything and everything, and Dalila is listens to our needs and figures out the best way to help. They bring solutions to the table each and every time! The staff not only cares about my business and our company's growth, but about us personally. In all honesty, the loop location is not an ideal commute for myself and team. However, the girls (and Bill) at Level's kindness, willingness to help and overall positivity were huge factors in choosing a place to set up an office. We did do our some research on other locations, and nothing compared. Not only are they competitively priced, the overall quality of staff and space is second to none. Level office is fantastic and a great building to work in! Our company of 10 uses 4 offices here and we enjoy the many amenities that Level provides. They have conference rooms to rent for weekly meetings, phone booths for private phone calls, and a variety of equipment to use such as TV's and cables. I like that they have a nice kitchen area on their top floor shared by the building as you are able to mingle with other people! Also up there you can grab a coffee from their hi-tech touch screen machine, beer on tap, and snacks which they include with monthly packages you can purchase! They also have several fridges we can use, microwaves, a bike rack, showers, storage, and more. What's best about Level is the community and the connections you make with other people. They always have events such as Lunch & Learns to keep you engaged and learn about what other companies have to offer! The staff is great and attentive, you never feel like your left out or ignored. Plus we have the added benefit of a community online system - Spare to Share - which allows us to connect online and share events and everything else building wide! Level is a unique space located in the Loop with easy access to both the buses and CTA. I rent the co-working space at Level which gives me access to working with other startups in fairly large area with a lounge. There are a multitude of startups in the building including foursquare. It gives me the access to resources as I need them in the same building without having to step out and look for them. The office manager is quite helpful to connect you with other startups according to your need and hosts events on a regular basis to introduce other companies who want to do standups about their businesses. This is the third space that I have tried in Chicago and I highly recommend it. read more

I have been in business for over 20 years and recently needed a second space to help accommodate my patients in the loop. I of course had the expectation of a clean and private space, but what I found at the Level office suites was an incredibly professional and accommodating staff that consistently wants to assist me in any way they can with the development of my business. The tenants are diverse and fun to be around as well and after a little more than a year I consider many of them friends.... In fact, I look forward to going down to that location every time that I am scheduled to do so. The management team is as good as anyone could hope for and the buildings general culture is supportive and very affable. I could not be happier and plan to stay for as long as I am in business. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Level. We have been at Level since January and the service is truly unbelievable! Corinne and Dalila are not only the friendliest and warmest people ever but they will help you with anything you need right away. They manage to be both fun and completely professional all the time (not an easy task!). The location is also perfect for our needs, the offices are great (even without a window in ours it doesn't feel like a cave) and the shared space on the 5th floor is awesome. The place looks nice, however, their management needs to change. When they were trying to get us to sign, they were nice and attentive but when it came time to renew and leave they were just horrible! We stayed there for 1 month (but was honestly in the office only 10 days max). They sent us an invoice with incorrect prices and extra charges we never asked for. I had to call them repeatedly to fix the invoice. We then decided not to extend our stay and their communication with us became non existent. Kayley stopped picking up our phone calls. When we left, we had arranged to meet with kayley to return our keys and she never showed up and didn't pick up her phone. We were expecting our deposit money to be returned. After asking multiple times and waiting multiple days, she finally emailed us saying that They charged us $100 dollars in damage??? And so I asked them for an itemized list and kayley only keeps responding by asking what address she can send the deposit back to. But I refuse to accept only 50% of the deposit back when there was no damage done to the office! read more

The moment you say your are leaving, they will ignore your phone calls and take your whole deposit for leaving absolutely no damages to the office. We spent only 10 days in the office and only had a laptop and a few bags of chips in the room. They were friendly and attentive only before you sign your contract. And then they will only contact you again and again to receive their next month's check. Check the invoice carefully, because they will charge you for things you should not be charged for. read more
