We are a reputable clinic with a reputable staff which care about animals and we care about our work we take a lot of pride in it But things go wrong and it's not always our fault you admitted that the other dog was playing and sutures break they're not indestructible. We had this discussion you left Happy. The wound was sutured closed in an appropriate manner that you feel that you were mistreated. We would've been happy to help if you would've come in with a nice attitude and we would've done our best to make sure the situation was dealt with. Instead, you and your mother felt That you should scream and you feel that if you scream the loudest it will get heard. Unfortunately, you ended up spending more money at another place which did nothing more than what we did initially. I wish you could see life a little bit with a happier lens instead of a bitter lens, thinking everyone is out to get you. Buddha is a very nice dog and I wish him the best. I have been going to Dr. B for several years. I have entrusted him with generations of loved dogs…read moreand cats. I have found him and his wife to be caring and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the healthcare of my pets. When all the other vets gave up on one of my cats he was able to save the day. I have two stories that I think show the type of vet he is. Our EM puppy was limping, running a low grade fever and holding her paw up. I took her to a pet ER. An Xray showed nothing so they wrapped the paw, gave us pain meds, and sent us home. She did not seem to be getting better so we called Dr. Bernstein. When we described her symptoms he made room in his schedule to see us immediately. Which was a good call as she had developed a dangerous, aggressive abscess. He treated the paw and worked with another vet nearer to my home to be sure she saw someone every day. She eventually had to have the toe amputated. I believe if we hadn't had such insight, quick action, and dedicated follow-through from Dr, Bernstein we would have lost her. Another time one of our animals needed treatment for a heart problem. After consulting with Dr. Bernstein and deciding a course of action, his wife was able to secure a timely appointment with the local veterinary heart specialist. Both offices worked together to give her a quality of life ( and for me, comfort) to the time she had left. Holistic vet care embraces the full range of medical science and Dr. B is always happy to take extra time to make sure his clients understand all their options. He does not mind working with other vets. Both Dr. B and his wife are dedicated to keeping abreast of the latest medical treatments to insure his clients and their pets have the best care. More than that even, they care for each animal as if it were their own.

My overall experience is that, although very knowledgable, he's been doing this for way too long and the passion is no longer there. At one point, my pet's health was quickly declining and rather than offering to see my pet, his wife just said "take a deep breath and calm down" (say what???). I quickly called my primary veterinarian, who was not even working from the office and she immediately took charge, had me bring in my pet and had her techs administer a B-12 shot, as well as a liquid IV with fluids + enzymes. It was our primary vet who saved the day and most importantly-my pet!
