I have the best girlfriend ever! We were supposed to do a rage room while we were in Vegas, but…read moresince we didn't get a chance to do it, she surprised me and planned one for us in Sacramento instead. This was such a fun experience! Obviously, with something like this, you have to sign a waiver before getting started. The guy at the front desk was really nice and patient with me while I was busy taking pictures instead of signing my waiver . They provided us with jumpsuits, masks, and gloves before we went in. The smashing area was a lot smaller than I expected. I thought it would be an actual room, but it was more like an enclosed area surrounded by wooden walls with a tarp over us to help keep all the debris and glass contained. Before we started, the guy explained everything, went over our options, and made sure we knew what we were doing. We had about 20 minutes to let loose and smash everything in sight! We smashed glass bottles, coffee cups and even a windshield. They also gave us different things to smash everything with, and we even got to use a paint gun. My girl and I had a lot of laughs doing this. It was definitely something different for a date, and I'm glad she planned it for us. Sometimes it just feels good to break some stuff! One piece of advice: WEAR OLD SHOES! Wear something you don't care about or wouldn't mind throwing away. By the time you're finished, you've been walking around on a lot of broken glass and debris. I definitely didn't want to track any glass into my car or house, so afterward I put my shoes in a bag. Overall, this was a really fun experience and a great date idea. We had 20 minutes to smash some stuff, laugh together, and make another memory. I would definitely recommend trying a rage room at least once!

You don't need anymore time than 20mins honestly. I recommend coming fully clothed with long sleeves and pants on. If you're planning on going somewhere after, I suggest bringing a change of clothes. You will leave with small shards of glass in your clothing. I also recommend bringing extra clothing because their suits are hot and heavy. & I'm pretty positive they don't clean or spray down any of their protective gear in between customers. I only wore their headgear, and the helmet hasn't even touched my face. I was stunned. I literally said, "Whoa, I can smell the last person that wore this." Yes, you do not smell cleaning solution on their gear or when you walk in. So I imagine their suits aren't being cleaned either. Right after I said that he "reassured" me that they clean the gear. If I ever decide to come back I'll make sure to use my spray I always carry with me. I was so caught up in the moment I didn't think to go grab my disinfectant. Now I'm stuck with a cough.

When I first walked in, I immediately noticed all of the natural light coming into the room. It really added to the outdoorsy ambiance. The employee at the front desk was super friendly and was quick to get me set up. As for equipment, grabbing shoes was easy (pulled them out of the storage cubes to the left of the front desk), and they provided a harness as well. I'm not sure if the staff normally does the walkthrough on tying a proper knot, since my friend and his friend did it for me. Nonetheless, I do like that they have that area separate from the main climbing area. Helps to take the pressure off a little bit if you're new. There seemed to be dozens of different climbing paths to choose from, with signs at the bottom indicating the level of difficulty. I found that particularly helpful since, as a newbie, everything looked hard. Also, the people I observed and interacted with on the floor were extremely friendly. Really great vibes coming from the community here. The pricing, based on information from my friend, seemed reasonable, since it included the gym and classes. However, I live in Elk Grove, so I probably will stick to visiting this place only now and then. Recommend giving it a try, though!

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!…read more We booked back at the end of July. This is our first time going with this business, usually we book with Sac Brew Bike. The night went pretty decent, I thought about booking with them in the future because their rules are pretty lenient... HOWEVER, after what I have encountered, I will NEVER EVER book with them again and I'll make sure anyone who asked me about brew bikes... I will share them my experience with THIS business. They care for making money off of you and then treat you like garbage right after. I understand a business is trying to get it's bag, but at least have some human decency. It's not like we treated the driver and the host bad at all--we offered them the alcohol that we brought with us and offered food that we ordered at one of the stops we made, left several boxes of alcohol for them at the end, and on top of that tipped very well. We wanted to make sure that everyone (including the employees) is having a good time because it's not the easiest thing to be in the heat, bike, and deal with people at times. I get that it's their job and they signed up for it, but it's just nice to see everyone around you having a good time. Let's proceed to what happened... shall we? As we started biking, the employee told us that we can leave our jacket on the hanger on the inside because there isn't one on the outside (where we are sitting). I proceed to do so, thinking nothing of it because I know it'll be safe there as we get on and off the bike. Arriving to our last destination, we all hopped off and a few minutes later... I realized that I have forgot my jacket on the bike. My friend who booked the bike called them immediately and they picked up-- informing my friend that they see the jacket AND that I can pick it up first thing in the morning. Fast forward to the morning. I drove down to the address listed on yelp...I pulled up and guess what? I couldn't find the building for "Off the Chain Bike Bus Tour." I thought I was at the wrong location... I had to second guess myself and walked back and forth to see if I have missed the building. Keep in mind, I know downtown sac like the back of my hand-- I go out extremely often and even work in dt. It led me to the address of a restaurant that has been shut down and chained up. It didn't felt right. I got confused... so I called up the number. The owner picked up, he informed me that they are only out there if someone books with them and the next time he is out here, he will check or have his guys check the bike. I left it at that and followed up more towards the end of the week. Here is where the math ain't mathing... So, how come the staff said that they saw the jacket and that I can pick it up the next morning? When there isn't even a location for this business (I forgive about there not being a location). However, it doesn't make sense... if they were to store the bikes away and come out for the next customer, wouldn't the jacket still be on the bike? Unless... one of the staff took it and the owner is covering them. As you may wonder... what type of jacket is this? why would someone steal a jacket? It's a ZARA jacket... so, I guess it's worth having sticky fingers over. I followed up again today. The owner picked up and I asked about my jacket. He came at me rude... saying "You called us 3-4 times. There is nothing we can do." Sounds super defensive to me; you know people don't act defensive for no reason. The response is super ignorant as a business owner. I informed him how unprofessional it was for his staff to provide misinformation and how it played out in general. He said "there is miscommunication," and that's it. Like that's all he can say to me as a customer? OH OKAY. I understand people lose stuff all the time. I wouldn't be upset if I placed it at a bar and then accidentally forgot about my jacket. However, I was informed that they see the jacket AND that I can pick it up the next morning... but when I try to pick up the jacket, my jacket is no where to be found. It makes no sense at all...
