This was so much fun!!! I have been to only 1 escape room once before. It was a 30 minute drive away, and parking was difficult. That didn't impact my judgement of the place and I still rated it as a 5 star experience. This is also a 5 star experience as well. Upon entering the escape room we are given a locker to put our stuff into. We are given a story and have to solve the mystery. So as with all escape rooms, it requires thinking outside the box and cooperative problem solving. We had a lot of fun solving the puzzles, and all of the puzzles felt related to the storyline. The difficulty level of our room was not that hard, but not super easy either. read more

I'm from the Bay Area and we always come here when visiting family in Elk Grove. This is my 2nd time here and it was even better. We did the Torture Chamber and it was a new game mechanic of separating our team into 2 groups. Such an awesome twist that made us focus on communication and teamwork. We made it with 5 seconds to spare! Great job to our game master Gigi who treated us with A+++ service. We're definitely coming back when they open their new room. read more

So far we have done two rooms here and they were both pretty good. The first one we did was call torture chamber, however that room has since had a makeover and is now the krampus room. It was a horror themed room and definitely had a creepy feel when the game started. I think the room was rated as medium difficulty, but our group of 4 escaped in about 35 minutes, which to me should definitely be considered an easy room. That would be my major complaint. Perhaps krampus is more difficult as they told us that they completely redid the puzzles. We also did the Wizard School room which is supposed to be hard difficulty. Our group of 4 escaped with just over 20 minutes to spare. Again, my only complaint would be that the rooms are too easy. However, this room is definitely worth doing. The production is excellent and there is some really cool tech used inside the room. Plus you get to use a wand! Our game master was Celidah and she was excellent! read more

My family did the Christmas-themed "Krampus" room last weekend. The room was repurposed from one of their year-round games. However, it felt like it had been there all along and was well done, not some thrown-together holiday make-over of a normal game. We were very pleasantly surprised with how well done it was and on-theme. I am an escape room junkie, self-declared, and have played about 15 games. The Krampus room was top-notch for a holiday-themed room. The game was very linear, and as someone who has done a lot, it did seem on the more accessible/easy side. We were told there was about a 60% escape rate. Our team got out with about 20 minutes to spare. I do wish it was a bit longer or more challenging and also less linear, but for a holiday room that isn't available year-round and has to fit within the confines of one of their normal games, we thought it was very well done and very enjoyable. The puzzles were solvable and inventive, the theme was unique and well-established, and there were unique puzzles/mechanics we hadn't seen before. There is a small attached parking lot, and the place was very easy to find. Inside there are lockers and a small waiting room inside to wait in. there are 2 restrooms. Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff member helping us was also really friendly and nice, his name was Michael. Overall, we quite enjoyed our experience. The price was extremely reasonable as well, and they allowed us to add extra-people last minute. read more

We escaped the Woodbury's Wizarding School and our game master was Tim. The experience was the best I've ever had at an escape room and Tim was in character the whole time. There's free cold water bottles if you check-in through yelp at the front lobby. You're required to sign a waiver and put all of your belongings in a locker before proceeding with the escape room. We decided to do Pet Snatched since it was our first ever time doing an escape room and we wanted something easy yet fun. The concept was great and our Game Master, Celidah, was very theatrical with her story-telling. She laid out the ground rules which were simple and made things straightforward. Throughout the 1-hour session, we were feeling super stumped and confused but Celidah gave us hints (pretty much guiding us through the game) which helped so much. She wasn't being too obvious with the hints but they always led us in the right direction. It's a really fun activity to do with friends since it revolves around teamwork and puzzle-solving. There was multiple "rooms" within the escape room which was such a pleasant surprise. It truly added onto the experience since you had to go from one room to the other and use clues to go back to previous spots. Overall, we managed to finish and complete the escape room with the help of Celidah! read more

Omg this was so fun!!! My crew and I were visiting Sacramento for the weekend and we were able to make time for an escape room. We did the Spy one and it was so fun! Will was our game master and he was amazing! Not to brag but we had at least 20 more minutes until our time ran out! I did the Butcher's Torture Room in a group of 5 and we were able to complete it with a a few minutes to spare thanks to the unlimited hints haha. The game master is there to watch you and help you. Our game master was named Gigi and she was super nice, and helpful. She did a great job playing in character for the escape room which made my friends and I have a great experience. Owner customer service. Games masters are great, owner is horrible! We booked for our son's birthday and our friends got covid. We called owner to ask if we could get a credit for what we paid to use at another time (aka more business) and she refused! The people that work for her also said- good luck trying to get her to give you your money back, so apparently she must do this a lot! Instead of doing right by a returning customer, she would rather keep her $60 something- pathetic! I would recommend you spend the extra 15 mins and drive into Sacramento for another escape room! Oh and the owner said because we said we would write a bad review we would be banded from returning to her place (as if we would give her more of our money)!! lol! After owner replied..... let's set the facts straight- you didn't give me the option to reschedule. You also said you don't have merchandise, as you were out and did ask if I wanted to switch rooms and my son said no. I was not being unreasonable or rude until you were! Amazing place to enjoy some time with friends. Dathan was a great host. 5 star escape room experience! Our group of friends do a lot of escape rooms together so we've been around the block. Our first escape room experience at this location was Woodburys Wizarding School. The decorations were beautiful and the puzzles were fun to solve. We escaped with a few minutes left. We recently came back and completed pet snatched and spy vs spy. Pet snatched is a lot of fun. If you're new to the escape room genre it's better to start with Pet snatched and worked your way up. We felt pet snatched was a bit on the easier side but the puzzles and interactions were fun. Spy vs spy is interesting where you all work together and have to pair up to help each other out and then you work against each other at the end to solve the puzzles to escape. There can only be one winner! The CIA or the Soviets! Check out this escape room location. You won't regret it. read more
