I had my sons car in there for engine problems he had it for almost 3 months and he kept telling…read moreme it needed more things done . After excuse after excuse and finally getting it back my son drove it straight from his shop to the gas station to get gas. When he got to the gas station the engine was covered in oil. So he wanted to come look at it . I told him no because of him only not fixing it and charging us 18 hundred. We had to have it toed to springfield to a place that could fix it right and they couldn't fix his messed up mess they had to put another motor in it. So i wouldn't recommend my family friend or worse enemy to him to get ripped off.If i had to rate this business it would be a negative 10

The only thing this guy has going for him is the look of his building(which he doesn't own I found…read moreout) His workmanship is awful he leaves off bolts and brackets, he lies, he will tell you things are repaired when he didn't even look at them. He will over charge you for work by hundreds of dollars. I took a vehicle in for a transmission after replacing the transmission, he put it together with a worn out clutch, it was and he never even told me the clutch was wore out to the point of being shot. A week later the clutch failed when I confronted him he threatened me with bodily injury and he told me that the only thing I had brought it in for was the transmission. He never recommended replacing clutch I had to pay for a transmission to be removed from another shop so they couldrepair it correctly. The shop that did the repairs told me that Mike owner of M&M automotive would have had seen the clutch and chose not to tell me probably in hopes I would have him repair it again. This man is a thief and I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. Robbery in Taylorville.

I took my car to Landmark in Taylorville on July 9, 2020 for service repairs. My car had gone into…read morereduced engine power mode, the service tire sensor light was on, I had an oil sensor I needed put on, the thermostat stopped working, my blinker no longer shut off while turning, and I needed new struts. I advised Alecia, who works the service desk of the issues, knowing this was an extensive and expensive job, and she wrote them in her calendar and took my keys. I was quoted a price of $2400, which I was fine with. She called me once to inform me they were going to need to run at least 3 different diagnostics test on my car, at $100 each to find the specific problems. I didn't believe this to be accurate, however I wanted my car completely repaired and gave her the okay to run 3 diagnostic tests on the car. A couple weeks had gone by and I had told my uncle about the repairs (he used to work there) and he called them advising I was his niece, so they said the would give me a discount on the parts. I was finally able to pick my car up on August 4, 2020 and paid a total bill of $2046.52. I began driving home and the service tire sensor light came back on. I turned around and went back to the dealership where I spoke to the service manager, Jared Pasquallie, who said "Oh, that's an easy fix". He took my car and was gone for roughly 10 minutes, brought it back and the light was off. I began home again and noticed my a/c was set on 60°, but it was cooler outside of the car than it was on the inside. I called the dealership and spoke to Alecia again, and she advised me to bring it back in the morning. They then find a freon leak. I didn't press the issue much, I am no mechanic and agreed to have them order the parts and repair the leak. She filled it with freon and sends me on my way. On my way home from Springfield, my service tire sensor light is on again. At this point I'm furious. I just paid you $2000. My car should be running in pristine condition. I call to talk to the service manager, Jared, am put on hold, then sent to voicemail. So, I go to Landmark. I advise Jared of the issue and inform him I'm not paying for any additional parts. He told me it was an easy fix and still is not fixed. The light was on when I brought it in and shouldn't be on any longer. He says he will see what he can do, and they keep my car again. I get a call and am told 3 sensors are bad and need replace and am quoted $61 per sensor. I again stated I'm not paying and he said then they won't do the work. From there I ask to speak to his manager, Adam Haley. Jared puts me on hold and then sends me to voicemail. I drive back to Landmark and ask for Adam. He takes me in his office and initially says that Alecia didn't write the sensor light was on in her calendar and I never specifically stated so in any of the calls (he listened to them all in the few minutes I waited on him). I explained the light was on when I brought it and I am not a certified technician. It isn't my responsibility to know what is wrong with the car. On top of the fact they told me they ran 3 diagnostic tests at $100/ea, not only should the sensors been fixed, but they really shouldn't have missed the freon leak either. Adams next argument is that someone called in a favor for me and really I should've been paying $400 more to which I replied just because someone did something nice for me doesn't mean my car shouldn't be repaired to the highest standards. Not one of those service persons would ever pay $2k on car repairs and get their car back with the same light on and be accepting of that. By this point I am furious but state I will pay for the freon leak repairs but I wanted the sensors repaired at no cost. Adams next argument is they are human and make errors. I agreed. They 100% are human and make errors. However, nobody is taking responsibility for them! He stated I would've had to pay more for the additional parts and repairs, again I agreed. However it was their mistake. Jared just cleared the codes on the sensors rather than fixing them the first time. Not only did he do that once, but twice. Adam goes and speaks with someone and they agree to fix the freon leak and the 3 bad sensors for no more than $400. The price of my initial discount. How convenient. I agree and am frustrated and leave yet again without my car. Without any car, actually. Every time I left my car there, they were unable to get me a loaner for between 3-8 days. So I pick my car up again on August 14, 2020 and pay an additional $392.55. Freon leak is fixed and 3 tire sensors replaced. When I went in, not one person who was initially working with me even looked in my direction or spoke to me. They handed me my keys and sent me to the cashier. Today is August 16, 2020 and my service tire sensor light is back on. Landmark of Taylorville is an absolute joke.

We always recommend anyone who is searching for a car to go see Steve. Steve is great to work with! However, I did feel pressured to choose an extended warranty almost to the point of rudeness. I was close to changing my mind on the vehicle. Pretty disappointed in that aspect..
