Came by for a catered event. Parking is plentiful in the adjacent lot. Be sure to register your plate on the clipboard at the front counter. This was super confusing as there were no signs or instructions otherwise. The interior of the hotel is rather dated (looks like 1990s). It can use a refresh for sure, but isn't bad. With that said, there is a nice lounge in the lobby too. The buffet food here is actually quite decent. Meat was tender and they had a good salmon selection. The dessert selection was quite good too, with plenty of cakes. Something for everyone. Overall it was a decent experience.

First time here. Week stay again. #804 faces South West. You can hear a bit of the light rail cars. Very very comfortable beds. Nice tub, nice Shower. Good wifi. Great location. $10. Parking fee

    Used shower cap

This is a 4 star hotel...supposedly. It was outdated, dirty and gloomy. You have to pay for parking - which is not convenient to get to. The reason I am even writing this review in the first place is because when I stayed here I went to use the shower cap provided and it was USED. There was a dark hair wrapped up inside. I can't imagine what else is reused. Disappointing and disgusting.

I had to scramble and find a hotel to stay I. After the BC ferries closed due to high winds. I had a long day and the front desk staff (I wish I remembered his name) was absolutely fantastic! I was pretty upset being stranded here and he made my check in easy and gave me a beautiful room with a jacuzzi tub to relax in. After the day I had traveling from Seattle then to the BC ferries he was aGod sent! Thank you for helping me relax and try to enjoy the evening! He truly was wonderful!

We stayed here because we were visiting family at Coquitlam and we wanted to be in the area. The hotel felt dirty and was very dusty. I'd rather stay at a farther hotel next time than ever coming back here

    Vehicle damage

I have been staying here on average once a month out of convenience for the past year or so. I won't be returning though because this past weekend my vehicle was broken into and the hotel not only didn't acknowledge it but they also didn't apologize or reach out to me and of course they declined to pay my insurance deductible when I contacted them. They didn't provide adequate parking for my stay and as their guest I have a reasonable expectation that my vehicle will be safe just as I have the same expectation my room won't be broken into. Will not be returning.

I mean it's nice... front desk people aren't the nicest. I do love all the shops around the area tho. It's "ok" for the price.

The rooms are good. But there's cockroaches.. found a huge one in my room. Not a good place unless you are okay with that.

We seriously considered finding alternative accommodation due to the issues above. The wedding day ended up being too busy for us to find time to move. Don't make the same mistake we did- find another place to stay especially if you have little ones.

The front door is locked and you have to call the front desk to ask them to open it. Or if they see you they will let you in. I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and welcomed. Check in was easy and seamless. The front desk people explained everything clearly. There's a code on the door to get in and out. Parking is at the back, It is safe with plenty of lights and cameras. I left my luggage in the car overnight and staff said they have not heard of any incident of theft. I parked my car close to the entrance as well. If you are not comfortable leaving your belongings in the car then you can bring it to your room. I had a very heavy luggage that's why I didn't feel lugging it around in a flight of stairs. No elevator by the way. The front desk is open until 12 am. There are 2 complimentary bottled water in my room. There's free refills beside the front desk as well as free snacks like popcorn, banana, pop tarts, hot tea, etc. The room is clean and decent. It is simple. Room comes with cable tv, small fridge, microwave, and steamer. Next door has a gym and I believe for hotel guests there's just a $5 fee to gain access each time. Nearby there are 2 pizza places, and a sushi restaurant. You will need a car if you want more options to eat or coffee. I'm giving this five stars for what it is, clean and friendly service by the staff. Of course it cannot be compared to five star accommodations but for something inexpensive and short stay, it is worth considering this option.

When we arrived it was late and the door was locked. We called the number & Rebecca came to help us. Despite the late hour, she was super friendly, funny and helpful ! She gave us an info package and keys - yes actual keys ! To both the hotel ( for when it was locked ) and the room. We stayed for a few days and moved rooms a few times. The king bed rooms were colourful and had both fridge and microwave. We got it for a really good rate. It's a no frills type place, but it's clean and quiet. Staff is friendly. If I was in the area I would stay here again.

Resulting in a 20-minute wait with me being the second person in line 2) Nobody onsite actually managing the pools '10pm-11pm adults only policy' that is has posted. Yeah, this was a joke. 3) Front desk lacking basic customer service skills. Lacking in effort to assist more than the status quo. Certainly not Marriott standard. Liked: 1) Hotel was clean 2) Housekeeping was exceptional and provided more than status quo service. Thank you for everything you do! 3) Overnight front desk ladies were pleasant and inviting. Overall, this property looks great on paper. When viewing from Marriott.com, it stands out. However, it does not do a good job of making sure all guests feel valued. It focuses on Higher tier members, and the rest do not matter as much. This hotel comes at a premium and is very outdated in room (especially shower/tub combo). This hotel was planned to be my go-to hotel, as I visit the area once every 2 months. That is unlikely at this point. I would recommend checking out the Civic Hotel nearby instead. They do a better job delivering Marriott's standards of service.
