They were renovating some of the public areas when we stayed in the winter and they have a bit of a gathering area on the second floor. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. The breakfast was also well stocked with a staff member available if people needed anything. The two items which didn't stand out...our bathroom sink water would not get hot. The shower was fine but the sink basically never got above standard room temperature. The bigger issue was how loud the room upstairs was down to our room. I swear I could hear every step they took. As luck would have it, we got in after midnight trying to push as far as we could to balance the travel days and our upstairs neighbors were up by 5:30. That's no fault of the hotel obviously but would have been a non-issue with any amount of noise suppression. A fine stop on the road and no reason not to stay but the "ceiling noise" was a lot.

Rooms are clean and new. Hotel is quiet. Staff was friendly; they let me check in before 3:00 - what more could I ask for? They also have free WiFi, a mini-gym and a business center. P.S.: the front desk clerk said they're a pilot program for fresh breakfast. They don't serve pre-made, microwaved food: it's prepared in a real kitchen the same morning. Looking at pics and being familiar with PTACs, this thing hasn't been cleaned in a couple years. No wonder entire room smelled like rancid mildew. GM Chip's many condescending comments were not well received and will not be tolerated. Instead of offering to help move to different flagged hotels 1/2 mile away I wasn't aware of, Chip said the only rooms avail were at some nasty roach motel 2 doors away that I wouldn't stay in without an armed guard. Just when I thought Chip only treated me like a moron, upon loading car to leave, another gentleman stormed out extremely upset. He said GM Chip just treated him like a fool and refused to book the 15 rm block for a later date even though front desk showed rooms available. He said after clerk confirmed availability and he was going to pay deposit, Chip came around the ofc corner and told her not to book the rooms for his non-profit group because they may not be available. This guy was fuming. I can see why. Chip's style and demeanor are unacceptable. This hotel may be financially successful, but I assure you it isn't due to his people skills.

Our host didn't ask if we had any food allergies nor were we given any choices whatsoever. We stayed in the Presidents room, comfortable bed, nice linens, very tiny shower with nowhere to even lay a washcloth. We heard traffic all night even with white noise on our phone. sigh A Keurig is available if you want coffee in the morning before 9am but Maxwell House only. sigh Breakfast was what appeared to be brewed coffee but was probably Maxwell House again, (no tea offered), mixed berries in cream, French toast with real maple syrup, link sausages (which I don't eat) orange juice(which I don't drink). The host proceeded to sit on a sofa in the breakfast nook and we felt we needed to strike up a conversation with him. This wouldn't have been quite so odd if he had ever introduced himself. sigh I wouldn't mind if this didn't cost us $228 for one night, a Thursday night. There are other choices in the area. My suggestion would be to try another B&B or a hotel.

Fridge, microwave, decent TV. Comfy beds. Muted road noise, because you are right beside the highway. Fairly loud hallway noise, not bad on an emtpyish night but probably annoying when it's busy. Small bathroom, just the tub and toilet. Sink and mirror in room. Good enough for a short stay with a couple people. No extra outlets or USBs. Well, two outlets on the bedside lamp. The manager is friendly, charismatic, welcoming, and takes pride in his work and his hotel. He made our stay more than pleasant.
