A Chillicothe landmark. Right by the highway and the commercial strip. Big, with an event space I've been in for wedding receptions, very pleasant. We might have stayed here before, but we have family in town so we generally stay with them. But we didn't want to overwhelm them this time so stayed over here. Super service. They weren't very full last night, but I bet they will be tonight for the holiday. Pool is right up front, and we went in for a bit. No screaming kids. Rooms are small but nicely appointed. Fridge, microwave, decent TV. Comfy beds. Muted road noise, because you are right beside the highway. Fairly loud hallway noise, not bad on an emtpyish night but probably annoying when it's busy. Small bathroom, just the tub and toilet. Sink and mirror in room. Good enough for a short stay with a couple people. No extra outlets or USBs. Well, two outlets on the bedside lamp. Reasonable prices. Free wifi, seems a little weak though. Small free breakfast, nothing special. I'm sure we'll be back. read more

Check in was good and staff friendly. Facility is clean but dated. Layout of hotel is odd. Pool is next to front desk. Very tight check in area. Have to walk outside to get to the door that takes you to the stairs to the 2nd floor rooms. Just a little awkward all around. Front desk made a great recommendation for a restaurant and coffee shop both of which were very good. Bottom Line - I would stay here if needed but it wouldn't be my hotel destination of choice. read more

Older looking hotel but the beds are soft, waters hot and they have a great breakfast. Way better stay than the larger fancy hotels.

I stayed here a few days ago during a long road trip. There are a number of hotels in the area, but I chose this particular one because of the great score on Trip Advisor combined with a very reasonable price. As a woman traveling alone, I didn't feel very safe in this area. The parking lot was full of FedEx trucks(?) so I had to park pretty far away and the parking lot is poorly lit. When I walked in, the lobby was cute and cozy, but you guys REALLY need to ease up on the wax warmers because the smell was very overwhelming! After a short wait, I got all checked in. The employee that helped me wasn't super friendly, but not rude either. The thing that bothered me was that she didn't mention anything about the amenities of the hotel, specifically about breakfast. I had no idea there was a complimentary breakfast until the next morning as I was already about to check out. Seems odd to me since every hotel I've ever stayed at always lets you know about stuff like that. I was also really annoyed by the lack of elevator. After driving for 9 hours the very last thing I wanted to do was haul my suitcase up a flight of stairs! The room was fine, except for the fact that the alarm clock in the room went off LOUDLY at midnight and woke me up out of a deep sleep (and scared the crap out of me)! Shouldn't housekeeping be checking things like this after a guest leaves? Despite this, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioner worked well. These are the most important things to me when staying at a hotel. Would I stay here again? No, I would probably pick the Hampton Inn. read more

This is an excellent hotel to stay at! The rooms were clean and roomy. The pool and hot tub were sparkling and inviting. The staff was helpful and quickly checked us in and directed us to eating establishments within walking distance. The breakfast was amazing! Besides all the usuals (cereal, toast, bagels etc.) they had hot eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, hot oatmeal, waffles and hot oatmeal! I highly recommend staying here, it was a total bargain. read more

This older hotel has been updated. The furnishings are alright. The sitting chair cushion had mystery stains on it & wasn't used. The desk & chair were good other than the infestation of black ants. The sideboard cabinet is almost too big for the room so mind your toes. My biggest complaint is the bathroom. The toilet was installed about 3inches from the wall making the door difficult to close. There are wear marks from it rubbing against the toilet. I hope this hotel staff knows better to not give this room to an elderly person. My other issue was the night staff was not readily available at the desk. I waited for a few minutes, called out & didn't get a response. Had to make a phone call to the front desk to find someone to re-instate the room key. Lastly, our room rate was secured thru a relative who knows the GM. Upon check in, I was told a higher room rate and inquired. The front desk person said that it was the 'friends/family rate. I did let that person know I was quoted another price. Also, if you're not an early riser, do not get a room on the even sided numbers, the sun instantly beams thru the top of curtains. Also it's the parking lot side so it can be very loud. 6/4/18 The room is clean and the AC was working fine. One thing that was noticeable was the odd smell in the hallway, I had a room on the first floor (there is no elevator) and the only glich I had was that the card reader would not read my room key, this was even after the desk clerk made me another set ( it worked the following morning )... Breakfast was nicely presented but I just had coffee and a bagel because nothing else peaked any interest. Hotel personnel were all very friendly. This hotel was a little less expensive than some of the others clustered near the intersection of Route 23 and US 35 ...(White Castle is right next door) lol... I think the owner, Mr. Christopher also owns the Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inn and Quality Inn here in Chillicothe... read more

This is our second time staying here. Great place for a "off name" hotel. Very clean, smells fresh, great deals online. We used the pool and hot tub, very nice. Worst customer service. We booked online. The amenities listed said non-smoking. Upon arrival, we were given a smoking room without notice. The host, Tanya, blamed the online reservation system. We showed her our email confirmed that did not say we booked a smoking room. The host proceeded to tell us that we should have known to call and ask whether our room was smoking or non. This option is not listed on the website. She could not and would accomidate us. The pool that was featured was out of service. We traveled from out of town and had no where else to go because everywhere else was booked. The bed was filled with someone's hair. The shower was filthy. We were beyond disgusted. read more

The staff at this hotel was super friendly! The rooms were nice and seemed to be recently renovated. The beds were comfortable and linens seemed to be higher quality than many other hotels I've stayed at. The pool was open late which my kids loved. Breakfast was included and was actually pretty good. I'm always apprehensive of the bonus breakfast. The lobby seemed a little too "homey" for me but I overlooked that since the staff and room were nice. The price was right too. Our rate was $79.00 with AAA discount. read more

The staff is super friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to learn Tuesday nights is a Manager's Meeting. All it means is the hotel feeds you a free supper while the managers chat up the guests. Our meal that night was grilled barbecued chicken, slaw, corn, and cupcakes. It was good, not amazing, but still good. The breakfast was typical fare. The rooms were clean, the linens soft, and the duvet freshly laundered. I gave 4 stars because both my husband and I woke up with backaches. The tub didn't drain very well, but the bathroom was clean. We would definitely stay again. read more

The whole inside was muggy and smelled like cat urine in places I would not recommend the walls are paper thin and it sounds like people in the hallway are in your room if they are just talking. Room was no-smoking but stank of smoke, as did the entire corridor. Ridiculous amount of dirt was falling from the ventilation in the bathroom onto the towels, and the room was generally disgusting. We had an unfortunate experience at this hotel on the evening of January 15th. Our room was lovely and appeared to be quite clean, however at 11:00pm and every ten minutes for the eight hours that followed the people in the room above us made so much noise that neither my self nor my husband were able to sleep. It sounded like they were dropping fifty pound weights on the floor...every ten minutes! We did call the front desk and complain, but the noise continued. My husband tried to speak to a manager the following morning but he was told that the manager would not be in until 9:00. We had a long drive ahead of us so we did not wait to speak to the manager. I realize that the hotel is not responsible for the actions of others, but they maybe could have followed up on the complaint. I can't believe we were the only ones to complain, it was incredibly loud. read more

I'm a frequent business traveller and decided to stay at this hotel on a college baseball trip to see my son play in May 2012. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and all of the furniture and carpet appeared to be new. Outdoors was very clean, recently mulched and spotless. Breakfast was included and was better than average. Coffee could be a bit better. Normally stay at Hilton and Marriott hotels. I will stay here again in 2013. Joann is the manager and she even came to some of the college games and talked to the parents to make sure everything was okay. For the price, this was as good as it gets. read more

I recently stayed at the Christopher Inn. I hadn't read the comment on yelp but had read several good comments on other sites and that's why I chose them. Our stay was very pleasant. The breakfast was great. They had several hot items along with fresh fruits and breads. The rooms were very clean. I did stay in one of the rooms that has been partially renovated. It was a little confusing to get to the breakfast room because part of the downstairs was closed off for construction. The staff was very helpful and nice. I was suprised when a housekeeper actually asked how I my stay was instead of hiding like most other places. I would definitely stay here again when coming to the area! read more

BEDBUGS!!! I spent 3 nights there and left with bedbug bites. I went directly from my motel check out to a pharmacy walk-in clinic where I was diagnosed. I thought that I was having an allergic reaction to food! I've never seen bedbug bites, so I had no clue. I was given 2 prescriptions and instructions. I contacted the hotel before I went home and spoke to a desk clerk as there was no manager on duty, to warn them about using the room and to sanitize. I was advised to call on Monday and speak to a manager. Four calls later on Monday, I was told that the room had been inspected and they found no infestation, essentially calling me a liar. Of course they didn't find anything on Monday, my linens had already been stripped and washed by the time I called on Sunday and housekeeping had more than enough time to sanitize before the managers came in on Monday. They denied everything and refused to refund even ONE night! Aside from the bedbugs, the hotel was mediocre and overpriced. They ran out of some of the breakfast foods early. There is no elevator and our conference room air conditioning didn't work on a 90 degree day. We were miserable during the presentation while the maintenance man just walked around offering excuses. The banquet had to be moved to another facility. read more

Came from STL to IN to CIN to Chilicothe on our trip to Cherry Ridge Retreat in Hocking Hills. We originally wanted to stay at one of the three bed & breakfasts in "downtown" but that didn't result. Christopher Inn appeared to be reasonably priced & one of three decent hotels. Yelp offered a 10% discount so we went with it. The young girl at the front desk got us taken care of immediately. She asked if we had AAA & I replied by saying we had a Yelp discount. I was then told they didn't "have" yelp so I showed her my phone. A quick call to a knowingly manager ended in 10% discount & our room key. The bed, bathroom & hotel were about average. The floor plan was nice with a large mirror & sink area. The pool/hot tub was smaller but I didn't come to Chilicothe to swim. Breakfast is served 7 - 10 on weekends which is great. Was not crowded by 8 with the hotel being seemingly booked. Food was average for what to expect. Waffle maker, frozen egg & sausage patties, fruit & terrible oatmeal. Coffee & juice. I'd eat a yogurt & bagel then hit the road. There are a few spots in a mile vicinity to eat. My assessment is that it could have been worse. Yelp is telling me I wrote the pants off this review so I'm going to assume that means I can now take my pants off. read more
