After parking, it's a quick walk to the trolley. I use the pronto app on my phone and I just scan the QR code as I walk onto the platform. The TV monitors tell you when the next one is coming. There isn't a lot of seating but they come pretty often. Once on board seating can be easy or hard depending on the time as with any metro line. It seems pretty clean and people mostly keep to themselves in my experience. There was a security guard riding with us but it wasn't clear if he was with the MTS or making his way somewhere. It's a relatively quick and easy ride and transferring isn't hard if you need to. I went to the gas lamp no problem. Coming back later it was a bit dark, especially at old town where I transferred. I just stood nearer to the light. It didn't take all that long and I was back to Nobel. Security was making sure fares were payed as I tapped my phone app out upon leaving. Easy and you don't have to deal with parking, $$$ gas costs or traffic.

Hubby and I were headed to Puerto Escondido, which is very expensive and very time-consuming to fly to from the airport in San Diego. However, flight prices and times were much more reasonable from Tijuana. Thanks to CBX, we didn't need to find anyone to cross the border and drive us directly to the airport, especially as our flight departed at 5:40 AM. It was nice to have an easy drop off on this side of the border. Anyway, we were dropped off on the US side, and had pre-purchased CBX tickets online for $50 per person, round trip. I felt that the price was very fair for the staffing and amenities along the way. We had already reserved a rideshare to drive us to CBX, but I saw the secure parking lots and realized that parking there is also a valid, safe option. It appeared that some of the secured parking cost about $30 per day, making it a good option depending how may days you would like to park your car. Anyway, when we entered, there were people guiding us, as it wasn't too crowded at that early hour. You scan your CBX ticket, your boarding pass, and your passport. Then you are able to walk through the barriers. There are escalators and elevators to get to the bridge, and signs stating that there is assistance available for people with disabilities. The bridge was clean and air-conditioned. We walked through customs just prior to entering the Tijuana airport. When I had learned about CBX, I was reluctant. A friend of mine told me that she had walked much further in various airports. It is true. The walk is short and easy Upon coming back to the states, we learned that there were several taco and other food trucks on the US side of CBX, as well as Starbucks and a well-known mall pretzel company. All in all, I am grateful to have a way to access the TJ airoprt in a very easy and affordable way. I plan to continue to use CBX for more affordable flights south of the border.

I used CBX to fly from TIJ to San Miguel Allende 10 years ago, and recently to Cancun. Both times were uneventful, exactly how I like my airport experiences to be. Purchase your CBX pass and parking ahead of time. Parking is priced cheapest in the dirt lot and most expensive in the covered/paved lot. I prefer the Goldilocks of uncovered paved in Lot A up front. Upon arrival, scan your CBX ticket and boarding pass (you can link them and just scan boarding pass as well, but don't need to). Same on the way back.

This shuttle route meets at Mandeville loop on campus, then takes you to the corner of Regents and Nobel, then Nobel and Arriba, then Charmant and Lebon. It sucks when the line to the shuttle gets really long and I imagine it's really difficult for people who don't get on at the first stop (Regents and Nobel) if you go during prime class time. It's definitely nice that when this happens, UCSD Shuttle Services provides the Special Shuttle for the last stop and it takes the Nobel route (down Nobel with pick ups at Lebon&Nobel and at the busstop right outside BofA. To track the bus, go to ucsdbus.com before you leave or on your phone. You can text "ucsd (stop number)" to 41411 for arrival information, but the downside is that you need to know the stop number prior to leaving the house. Kind of inconvenient. I contacted Todd Berven about this and he was so quick to respond! Hopefully they can get an upgrade in place where you text the number and if you don't know the stop number it will give you the different routes and stops. Cross your fingers they get this in place. It'd be really convenient for non-smartphone/mobile web users. =)

I emailed the address listed on the website and in previous receipts and it bounced. I also tried to call for several days and the phone was disconnected. Finally on the second week of trying someone answered, who was clearly on a cell phone. Told me they can't help with refunds over the phone and they don't have any phone number to help. My only option was to email an address not listed anywhere on their website or in my previous receipt. No chance I'm sending personal information that way. Pretty unfortunate as we have used this service for years. Something happened at the end of 2023 and now it's super shady. I recommend using a different service. Also this company just dispatches to other car services. May as well go directly to those companies.
